Situé à moins de 15 minutes de Beautiful Historic Beaufort, à 15 minutes de Parris Island et à 45 minutes des plages de Hunting Island et Hilton Head, cette escapade au bord de l'eau comprend 1 chambre principale avec bain à remous et douche, une 2Úme chambre principale avec salle de bains et 1 chambre triple avec lits jumeaux, trois salles de bain complÚtes, un magnifique porche grillagé et un beau soleil se lÚve de notre quai en eau profonde. Crabe, crevette et poisson dÚs le quai. Détendez-vous sur le pont couvert au-dessus de l'eau tout en regardant les dauphins et les raies avec une vie d'oiseaux extraordinaire, notamment des grues, des hérons, des pélicans et des aigrettes. Apportez votre kayak, votre planche à pagaie et votre petit bateau et profitez de McCalley Creek! Faites un voyage du quai à l'ßle Hilton Head ou à Beaufort par la baie pour faire du shopping et manger dans votre petit bateau. La maison est située entre Savannah et Charleston. Friends Visiting

3 couples met for a few days, to enjoy our friendships. The house is relatively secluded and the area is very quiet. We enjoyed the view off the dock, and watching the sunrise. The house is as described. The 3 separate bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms worked well for us. Lots of living area to sit and talk and eat.The house needs some updating and tlc.We would definitely stay again, given the opportunity.

Great Place.

We enjoyed our stay. The dock is a grate place to fish, put a kayak in and watch the sun rise. large clean rooms and bedrooms. Would stay there again.

Nice Getaway

Stayed here on our father-son fishing trip. Property was just as advertised. Secluded and quiet but still close to Restaurants and shops. House was very clean and plenty of room. Host was friendly, quick to respond. Would definitely recommend this property!

Perfect home away from home

My family and i couldn't have picked a better place for our stay in beaufort. Location was excellent, the house was very spacious and supplied with all the bare essentials. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had and was very helpful. Ill Definately be choosing sunmist cottage for our trip next year.

Nice and Quiet

Nice, quiet home for us to enjoy while here visiting our son, daughter-in-law and their new baby. <3 We loved the decorations throughout the house and really enjoyed the dock in the backyard. We even had a few "adventures" like figuring out how to make the coffee maker work without a power button and adopting the giant spider on the back porch as our temporary "pet". Owners were very quick to kindly answer all my questions and check in/check out were super easy. Thank you again for a perfect stay!

Internet wifi unusable. Television box not working

The property was beautiful location but very dated lot of light bulbs did not work funky smell. In dire need of some upgrades We left a day early because of no internet critical to my work.

Unbelievable relaxing views

Me, my girlfriend, and her sister from Italy, stayed at the house with our 3 well behaved dogs. The house was very comfortable and well supplied. The yard was very private and well groomed. The dock and river views are what I enjoyed the most; sitting out there and watching the amazing tide levels come in and out. We caught at least 60 crabs off the dock; which sounds great but then you have to clean them! :( But the crab cakes we made were fantastic. Please check out the surrounding areas, there are two historic, " haunted" church ruins, downtown Beaufort, swimming and being on the beach on Hunting Island, and visiting the historic lighthouse there, is also a definite. Thank you very much, Kevin & Jane!

Excellent Location but House needs work

Let's start with the positives: - Location is excellent. Close to downtown Beaufort but still peaceful and away from hustle and bustle that comes with staying downtown. On the river which provides excellent views. - Check in and out is extremely easy - House provides a lot of space with large living and dining room. Bedrooms are good sized. Space is good for family gatherings (though even in winter we spent more time out on the dock) - Dock provides access to fishing and crabbing (we did not catch anything in January, but it was very cold that weekend). Dock has a fishing/boating platform with no railings, and then a gazebo type area with built in covered seating and railing - Kids loved the air hockey table included (note that it needs some repairs as well) The not so good: House General: - Floors are very soft and squishy (to the point that there are a few spots where you can see the boards depress several inches when you step on them and the flooring is no longer connected) (especially in the few feet on either side of the dining room/living room opening) - house is generally musty Master bedroom/bathroom -large soaking tub provided but the water did not turn on properly so could not use - large water stain next to master bath toilet - low water pressure in master bath shower - there is a small TV in the master bedroom but did not appear to be connected to cable and did not turn on with remote provided Living Room: - TV did not appear to work (turns on but never could get the cable to come on) Hall bathroom: - Tub needs to be resealed and is peeling. no stopper provided - Water stains - When first turned on sink black soot came from faucet but went away after running for a few seconds and did not return for rest of trip Kids room: - part of check out is moving all furniture back to original position. While a lamp is provided, it is not plugged in and you have to move the nightstand to find an accessible plug (more annoying than an issue) Dock - While an overall positive note there is loose and broken railings throughout the dock Overall recommendations provides lot of space and good outdoor spaces but more likely to take our chances with other locations due to conditions of the house itself (especially the soft floors and noticeable water damage with had us concerned there may be mold in the house)

This was an amazing place. The location was just perfect. The deep water dock gave us many hours of fishing and shrimping. Our puppy would stand at the door and wait for us to take him to the dock. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back.

Nice spot

We came down to visit our daughter and family, make memories, have fun and be plus have a spot for our boat. We accomplished it all. The owner was very attentive and kind to any questions or concerns we had.

Great stay for air show

Was staying in the area for vacation to stroll around Beaufort and take in the air show at the Marine base. House was in a great spot to take advantage of both. It was quiet and lovely in the evenings and a great spot to watch the Blue Angels from the dock during the day.

Nice, dog friendly and quiet...

The property was nice and the owner, who lives next door, was responsive to issues. The house is older and has been remodeled. It was clean and well stocked. The plumbing can be persnickety with hot water issues (addressed by the owner) and clogged toilets upon arrival (which we handled and then notified owner). The yard is wonderful. There is a small fenced area for dogs to potty, which was a surprise and very helpful. The deck and dock provided access to beautiful scenery, fishing and crabbing. The dock is in need of repairs, with several loose boards, but otherwise was as described.and was where we spent much of our time.We look forward to staying again, as the location was quiet, and not far from Beaufort amenities.

Nice Getaway

Diamond in the rough. Outside of house could stand a cleaning, but inside was clean. Nice big yard with good privacy from neighbors with lots of greenery.

Nice getaway

Nice quiet place with a perfect driveway for the kids to ride bikes along with crabbing off the dock. Short ride to downtown, all around good stay

Pretty setting

The weather played a huge impact as it limited our overall enjoyment of our stay. However, the host was very responsive, the house was spacious and the setting (minus the snow!) was beautiful.

Great location, comfortable house

The property is located north of Beaufort and it was very easy to reach sightseeing areas. Communication with the owners was easy, they were very responsive and helpful with any problems. We were there during Hurricane Helene and they were very helpful and assured us we were safe.

Private Dock made our vacation!

Private dock and the river gave ample opportunity to enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. We had a great time!
