Our family had a great time relaxing, playing games and fishing and enjoyed much-needed time up north. This was our third week on Mule Lake in this home and again we truly enjoyed the amenities of the home, the privacy the property affords, and the recreation of the lake. We are looking forward to future summer weeks back on Mule Lake!
Very relaxing and accommodating cabin. We had two families a total of 10 of us and very comfortable in there. They offer some very nice games and the kitchen is very well stocked. Linda was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. They were very easy to work with. Mule Lake offer some great fishing and some beautiful scenery.
Such a cozy cabin and getaway with friends and family, my family and friends had a great time staying here. The host was super kind and helpful when we had any questions and concerns.
We totally enjoyed the hospitality offered by these owners! A welcome note for our family along with chocolate bars and a bottle of bubbly!
Wonderful accommodations with all the appliances and comforts needed or wanted! Everyone loved the pontoon rides and great fishing. We'll be back!
We very much enjoyed our stay and everything about the experience was top notch. Linda was great to work with and very accommodating. The cabin and property were very clean and offered plenty of space for our family. The rental pontoon was very nice and fishing was good!
The house was great. The kitchen had anything you could possibly need. It was super clean and well cared for. Mule lake is a good fishing lake which made everyone happy. The only negative were the steps to the lake. The view from house was beautiful.
Our stay at this beautiful, spacious Mule Lake cabin was better than we expected! The cabin was impeccably clean and the beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The bathrooms were absolutely beautiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals! Our host was excellent, readily available for questions and provided a beautiful stay for our up-north vacation. We felt so welcome and comfortable here, so much so that we didn't want to leave!
The lake home is beautiful and roomy, and the location on Mule Lake is great! Our grandchildren, ages 1-6, had plenty of room to play, both inside and outside, and we like the level fire pit area. Fishing was good, too. We plan to return.
My family & I had a wonderful time. We caught lots of fish, the boys did some wake boarding. The lake is just big enough for doing these things. Overall we had a great time being with the family.
This house was wonderful. We spent a weekend away with friends, including many young children. The house is well set up for kids with plenty of bedrooms, nice beds, and lots of outdoor area to run around. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Would definitely go again!
We had a group of 10 total including 2 children, and there was more than enough room in this cabin! 5 bedrooms were perfect for our group. We all thought the cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures! The owner was very good at communication beforehand and even during our stay. We all agreed that we would stay at this rental again!
Family friendly cabin on beautiful large lake lot!
The cabin was exactly as we expected it to be, beautiful! We had plenty of room for 9 adults and 2 children. The view from the master bedroom is stunning! The kitchen was well equipped to handle everything from a pancake breakfast to a chili cookoff. It would be fun to go in the summer so we could enjoy the lake!
We have been coming to this property annually for about 3 years. We love the privacy, the clearness of the lake, and all of the amenities provided for us. It is always spotlessly clean, well equipped, and the owners are always welcoming and available for questions.
The managers of this property thought of everything. They even spray for mosquitoes. Plenty of firewood. Lots of room. Even a porch for late night cards so we donât bother the grandkids. We had 6 adults and 3 young kids and never felt crowded. The Loons sang us to sleep every night!!
The mule lake cabin was perfect for our two familiesâ annual lake vacation - super clean - updated with modern touches - new do k and clear water. Lake tubing - kayaking - paddle boarding - swimming - and just laying in the sun reading! Owner great to work with - they really did think of everything! Had great Verizon service for our kid who needed to do some class work while we were there A so didnât need internet. we will be back!!!
Perfect place for family vacation. Cabin large enough for 4 couples and a toddler. Beds were queen and king perfect since must of us are used to queen and king beds also a pack and play for toddler to sleep inâeliminating us having to bring. Play set outside for the little to play on. Perfect location as it was only a 10 minute trip into Longville to enjoy their shops, ice cream and of course the turtle races. Easy communication with the host. Would highly recommend this place. Only draw back is the 35 steps down to the dock but manageable. It was nice that you could also rent their pontoon for a fee eliminating having to rent elsewhere.
Catch and nice sized bass and sun fishâŠ.but not this wonderful lake home! All the accommodations of home and more. Great communication and responsiveness with Linda the owner.
Wheelchair accessible? My wife uses a wheelchair and it takes 2 steps to get into the home and then itâs barrier free.
There are many but pleasant steps to the dock and our adult daughter would drive my wife to the public landing about five minutes away. I and my son-in-law would drive the pontoon to the public landing and allow my wife to get on the pontoon boat without having to navigate all the steps.
A wonderful summer tradition for us! Thank you Linda!
Vacation in cabin on Mule Lake was really something!
The cabin was clean and cozy with plenty of room for our crew: 5 adults and 3 children: twin 10-month-olds and a 2-and-a-half-year-old. Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed as far as pans, dishes, knives, silverware, serving bowls, etc, and it had a center island so many could help with meal preparation and clean-up. For entertainment there was a basketball hoop with two balls and enough driveway for games of HORSE/PIG/lightning, a bocce ball set, a big dock for jumping into nearly-drinkable Mule Lake for a swim or lying in the sun or sitting in the sun on a couple of built in chairs, cards, games (e.g., Yahtzee, a cribbage board), Direct TV (e.g., sports/children's shows), and a tree house/slide/swing set. We rented the owner's pontoon and it was a perfect way to relax, as everyone in our crew could easily find a cushiony spot to take in the fresh lake air and lakeshore scenery. We saw and heard loons every day and saw what we thought was a bald eagle swoop down and snatch a fish from the lake right in front of the neighbor's cabin. Of note: The steps up from/down to the lake are a workout. We stayed 4 days and wished we could have stayed more!

Russ and I call Brainerd our home, but our true love is heading to the Longville Mule Lake Cabin. Our worries and stress melt away as we take the scenic hour drive north on the winding road between the lakes and through the pines to Longville . We cherish the time spent with family and friends at the cabin on Mule Lake.
As a lifelong resident of Brainerd, known as the heart of lakes area, I discovered a whole new love for lake country when we purchased our Mule Lake cabin in Longville in 2011. The tranquility of Mule Lake, known for its' clarity and the thousands of feet of state-owned shoreline, is ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and boating. Huge white pines line the lakeshore and attract many eagles and loons. We enjoy the small community and the many popular year round events that it hosts.
Surrounded by lakes and forest, Longville has been a popular vacation destination for many years. Located in North Central Minnesota, the area provides some of the best fishing, boating, water sports, hiking and biking in the summer and fall. The famous Longville Turtle Races have been enjoyed by all ages for many years. Every Wednesday afternoon from June through August, streams of cars descend on the little town of Longville on the shores of Girl Lake. Family-friendly activities are happening all year round in Longville.
