Notre chalet est niché sur le côté est du Big Lake Chetac offrant de belles vues sur le lac et des couchers de soleil fantastiques. Big Lake Chetac est connu pour sa pêche et ses loisirs aquatiques. Savourez un café le matin dans le porche grillagé et un feu de camp la nuit dans le foyer près du lac. La cabine comprend deux chambres, une salle de bain avec douche, un salon avec canapé-lit et foyer au bois, une salle familiale avec poêle à bois et une cuisine entièrement équipée. Nous avons un lecteur DirecTV / TV / DVD et une bonne collection de films, ainsi que des livres et des jeux pour votre divertissement à ces moments où vous pouvez vous éloigner de l'eau. Nous avons un quai pour votre bateau ou pour une grande pêche. Nous sommes situés à 25 miles au nord de Rice Lake et à 20 minutes au sud de la célèbre destination touristique de Hayward, WI. Il y a des sentiers à 4 roues juste en bas de la route et deux atterrissages de bateaux à proximité. Ceci est une cabine confortable pour une escapade en famille ou en couple. Nous avons également un ponton à louer. Renseignez-vous si vous êtes intéressé.

Cabin getaway

My wife and I loved our stay along with our dog. It was a peaceful relaxing cabin on a terrific lake. Lots of fish caught and everything available with the stay. We very much appreciated our time and would love to be back !

A wonderful little cabin!

Despite the fact that i ended up on crutches 2 days before our trip, it was a wonderful stay and we enjoyed every minute of it. The pontoon was awesome and we spent a great deal of time on the water. The cabin was clean and cozy. Would definitely return!

Great time

Had a wonderful time. Very relaxing and stress free. Caught more fish than we could possibly keep. We ended up catching and releasing most. We would highly recommend this cabin if you want a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Can’t forget the wildlife. Bald eagles above and deer everywhere.

Nice cabin

Nice location on the lake .was cold and rainy most of the week, so gas fireplace was great We rented the pontoon, but because of the weather didn't use it much. Fishing was tuff but we had good luck off the dock. We caught bluegill , bass ,perch, crappie and northern pike from the dock

Clean, quiet, well set up cabin

Very clean and has everything you need! Loved the screen porch so much we are going to add one to our home. The whole place has a nice open feel. Nice grill and appliances. Was a quiet week on the lake which was exactly what we wanted. Fishing was enough to keep you interested but could have been better.,. Beds were comfortable. Awesome place would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your cabin Ryan and Mary!

Peaceful Getaway

We truly enjoyed our week on Lake Chetak. The location was very quiet and very peaceful and the Eagles were absolutely gorgeous. When we were not touring the lake on the Pontoon, we spent most of our time relaxing on the very peaceful screened porch or enjoying a nice bonfire. My only wish is that the cabin had Wifi. That said, we plan on returning.

We had a wonderful and relaxing week. Loved the screened porch patio and enjoyed breakfast and dinner overlooking the lake. Loved the eagles. The only downside is the size of the shower, so tiny. Loved the pontoon, worth every penny. Thanks Mary & Ryan

Nice getaway with a great view of lake

Definite rustic cabin, with great view of lake from deck, kitchen nice to work in with use of grill is handy. Used the pontoon that was available but fishing was not very good while there. Downfall for us was the availability of any wi-fi or phone use which we needed, and the size of bathroom/shower is very small. We rode our ATV a lot on the local trails which was great fun.

Rest lake vacation

Very peaceful lakeside location! Good bluegill fishing right off the dock. Renting the pontoon made the vacation, we were on it every day. Easy drive to Hayward shopping and sites, lots of bar/grills in the area. The screened porch was a lifesaver, the mosquito conditions were prime with the wet summer. Owners right next door, were available but not intrusive at all. Cottage was very well kept and very comfortable. Very nice lakeside cottage, highly recommended!

Great place on fabulous lake

The property setting is beautifully situated overlooking the lake. The cabin is roomy enough and nicely equipped. The screened in porch is a fabulous place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The deck is a nice size and is the perfect spot to watch the sun set. A fish cleaning station with running water is awesome for cleaning the beautiful pan fish caught on Big Lake Chetac. The lake is fabulous with lots of room to have some fun and play, relax, or go fishing.

Can’t beat the lake views!

Lovely setting, comfortable cabin, great communication from hosts! Loved the screened in porch and sunsets were phenomenal. We have stayed at many rental properties over the years, and this was one of the only ones I didn’t feel like we needed to clean the kitchen/dishes and disinfect surfaces before settling in. Our two small dogs loved the place and watching the chipmunks. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed cruising, fishing, and channeling to Birch Lake. Didn’t have much luck fishing. Everything was as described on the listing so we knew it wasn’t going to be fancy. I was glad we read reviews to prepare us for the small shower. Yet, the main cabin and porch was charming and more spacious than expected. We fell in love with the lake and Birchwood. Hope to make it back!

Family Vacation

My husband, 2 year old son, dog and I stayed 7 days here. Our intention was finding a cabin in Northern Wisconsin to return to yearly. Upon pulling up we knew this was the place. From the wall of windows over looking the lake, the quaint space, the screened in porch and all the way to the amazing dock and boat. This cabin had everything. It was perfect for our family to grow and still continue returning too, but small enough to be close together and create memories. The owners answered every question we had. We also have a SXS and the road in front of the cabin leads to trails to access near by restaurants, bars, and towns. Birchwood is such a beautiful quaint town, as well. The restaurants were delicious and the grocery store had everything we needed. Will definitely be returning.

Awesome cabin!

The owners have an awesome cabin and property and keep it up meticulously! So clean! Nice personal touches. They really do a great job offering a nice vacation experience here. This was our second time staying here. Great layout, plenty of space for 2-4 (or possibly more) people, and pets allowed so we got to bring our little doggie! Nice two decks - one enclosed and one open. Both are handy to have access to, you can choose which one you want depending on the temperature! Saw deer in the yard right outside the cabin - very cool! Loved having the gas fireplace since we don't have one where we live... and it was very cold outside while we were there, so the "quaintness" and "warmth" were much appreciated! Thank you for an awesome stay! We definitely recommend this terrific cabin!

This is our second time renting this property. We absolutely love this cabin!!! This year we took our dog with us and she LOVED it also!! We rarely left the lake. We rented the pontoon, which was very comfortable, spacious and low maintenance. We visited Chit Chat & Sportsmen's which have dog friendly patios. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and both rooms were spacious. AC/Heater was available but not needed due to the gentle breezes from the lake and shade trees. It did rain some nights and we found the DVD selection more than accommodating. There were cards and board games also. We used the fire pit more this year than last, the bugs didn't bother us at all, but bring your own spray just in case. The sunsets and sunrises are breath taking! We fished a little but released anything we caught, locals told us the fishing is very good on the lake. Plenty of pots, pans, kitchen accessories and cleaning supplies. We brought extra towels which worked out well, our lab discovered the water.

Everything I hoped for ... and more

I've been looking for a new north woods "getaway" ever since the last rental cabin I used to go for the past 6 years was sold and became a residence. My choices are limited since I always like bringing my 2 dogs, one of which is a Golden Retriever who loves the water. Well, I took a brief little 2-day vacation to kind of "test drive" this cabin up near Birchwood and it was everything I had hope for and then some. Plenty of room, lots of great atmosphere, very quiet, nice and private, extremely clean and all the comforts of home - but still with a little roughing-it feel of a log cabin. Fishing off the dock was incredible. In maybe 3-4 total hours of fishing, I caught 6 nice small mouth bass, 2 perch and some bluegill by just casting 20-25 feet away from the dock. I am really looking forward to coming back next summer, renting the great pontoon boat they have there and really exploring what appears to be a fish-rich lake. One of the best parts of the whole trip was that my entire time there I was NOT bothered at all by any mosquitoes or biting flies (which is usually one the drawbacks of any north woods vacation). I was even out at night using my telescope and never got bothered at all by any bugs. I can't wait to come up next summer.

Family Fun

This cabin was just what we wanted as a family! This property checked all of our boxes. It was great that we could rent a boat and have our four legged family member join us. We had perfect weather with beautiful sunsets. We had great fishing off the dock. The screened in porch was so nice to enjoy all day long. Our dog Lily lived her best life that week at the cabin.

Rustic cabin

We spent a week with the in-laws. Our days were filled with breakfast on the screen porch, fishing from the pier, pontooning and evening fires. The bathroom was a little small, the lighting a little dark, but we enjoyed every minute of it.

Cabin with a great screened porch

If you are planning to just look out at the lake and enjoy nature then this cabin will work well. We saw deer every day. Eagles landed in the trees out front every day. The sunset from the porch is incredible. If you are planning a fishing trip, then this cabin will probably work just fine. If you want to enjoy the sunshine and the water then you may be disappointed. For the most part, the only sunshine is on the side of the hill, a small portion of the deck or the very end the dock. The lake in front of this cabin is green and weedy. To swim, or for any water sports, you need to go to the center of the lake. Also, carefully consider that you are paying for a cabin with no cell phone coverage and no Internet. Not sure why the cabin does not have Internet since some of the neighboring cabins do.

We are elementary school teachers who love the Northwoods lifestyle. We both grew up in Wisconsin and love to be near the water for relaxation and recreation. We love offering our Birchwood cabin for others to enjoy. We have met so many wonderful people from WI, MI, MN, IL, IA and Canada.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

When looking for a cabin, we wanted a lakeside, west-facing, charming, rustic, cozy cabin experience. We believe we found it. Our cabin is cedar sided, has knotty pine interior, and a large screened-in porch with a magnificent view of the lake. We wanted a recreational but quiet lake and we believe we found that in Big Lake Chetac.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have been told by many people that we have an amazing, screened porch with perfect views of the lake and sunsets. We agree! Our cabin is within 25 minutes of Hayward and Rice Lake.
