Le commentaire le plus courant à propos de ma maison est: - elle est plus belle en réalité que vous ne le pensez et les vues environnantes sont tout simplement fantastiques.
La propriété est située sur les belles pentes de Monte Amiata, au sud de la Toscane, à seulement 2 km de la ville animée de Castel del Piano.
Il est situé dans une oliveraie argentée, trÚs proche d'une piscine naturelle cachée dans la riviÚre à proximité, Podere San Vincenzo est construit sur l'usine de la chapelle du XVe siÚcle
L'appartement est chaleureux et confortable avec des meubles typiques de style champĂȘtre, avec des sols en terre cuite, des poutres et des portes en bois, l'entrĂ©e est dans un grand salon / salle Ă  manger avec cuisine ouverte et cheminĂ©e. La maison convient trĂšs bien Ă  un groupe d'amis ou Ă  des couples. Vous pouvez louer un seul appartement ou la maison entiĂšre.
Il y a 2 grandes chambres doubles et un plus petit lit double / lits jumeaux, donc chaque appartement peut accueillir un arbre ou quatre personnes. Salle de bain bien aménagée (équipée d'un lave-linge)
La vue depuis l'appartement est magnifique et il y a un accĂšs gratuit Ă  un barbecue et des meubles de jardin.
L'emplacement central de Podere San Vincenzo offre aux visiteurs un accÚs facile aux spas, aux villes historiques, aux excursions, aux randonnées dans les parcs de la Maremme, du Monte Amiata et du Monte Labbro

Merveilleux séjour

Un endroit tout simplement sublime, au milieu de la campagne vallonnée de la Toscane et des oliviers. La propriété est trÚs belle, dans un cadre de carte postale. Nous avons passé un excellent sejour grùce au service de l'hÎte. Vacances parfaites. Point de depart idéal pour visiter les charmants villages du Val d'Orca. Merci pour tout !

The estate is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. Set in heavenly countryside, secluded and spacious, rustic yet well equipped. Paolo was a great host. We had two wonderful weeks!

Paradise in Tuscany!

Seven adults consisting of family and friends enjoyed this lovely farmstay...peaceful, beautiful country living in the Tuscan hills. It was a refreshing change after spending a week in Florence and Siena. The farm includes an olive grove, vineyard, outdoor eating and lounging areas, a private swimming pool and even a friendly donkey named Tosca. The farmhouse is a historic building with interesting history. It was well stocked, clean, comfortable and has air conditioning but most nights we slept comfortably with the windows opened. Hosts Paolo and Stephano were wonderful. Nearby towns of Castel Del Piano and Montegiovi were fun to explore with their cathedrals and bell towers. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in town and the food was fresh, inexpensive, and delicious. You will need a rental car because this is off the beaten path. I had planned a full itinerary of visiting Montepulciano, Montalcino and other notable towns but once we arrived at the farm we didn't want to leave. No need to pay for fancy wine tasting tours. Instead we bought a variety of wines from the well-stocked grocery store and drank them in our vineyard. Even the inexpensive bottles (3 to 5 euro) were amazing. One day we hiked Monte Labbro in the nearby Nature Reserve, We saw ancient ruins along with lots of wildlife including: wild boar, donkey, deer and wolf. We all brought home wonderful memories. Highly recommended.

Ein Taumurlaub, in einem bemerkenswerten Haus. Die Lage ist umwerfend, der Ausblick atemberaubend, die Ruhe erholsam, der Esel eine Freude, der Pool ein Traum, das Spielhaus fĂŒr die Kinder sehr nett!Viel Platz ums Haus, viele schöne SitzplĂ€tze.Das Haus ist schön und sehr authentisch im toskanischen Stil eingerichtet. Wir waren aber meist draußen, unter dem schattigen Sonnendach oder am Pool. Einzig die KĂŒche ist sehr klein fĂŒr alle BewohnerInnen ( wir waren zu sechst mit zwei kleinen Kindern)und haben das ganze Haus fĂŒr uns genutzt, und die KĂŒchenuntensilien sollten mal geordnet und zum Teil neu angeschafft werden. Die Vermieter Stefano und Paolo sind super nett, diskret, hilfsbereit. Wir wĂŒrden sofort wieder kommen!

Paesaggio mozzafiato

Siamo stati in questa casa per l'occasione di Capodanno e siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti in quanto la casa Ăš spaziosa ben accessoriata Ăš pulita e offre di molte comoditĂ  come riscaldamenti ottimi ma soprattutto un paesaggio mozzafiato che dalle foto non si percepisce. Inoltre i proprietari si sono mostrati molto disponibili e flessibili alle nostre proposte creando una vera e propria atmosfera familiare. La consiglio sia per numerose famiglie che per coppiette alla ricerca di un po' di serenitĂ .

Ruhe pur!

Sehr zu empfehlen: Wir haben das gesamte Haus fĂŒr uns gemietet. Es war einfach unbeschreiblich. Die Ruhe, die Landschaft, die Ausblicke. Manchmal kommt Paolos Bruder Stefano auf das GrundstĂŒck, um sich um Pool oder OlivenbĂ€ume zu kĂŒmmern; ansonsten aber hat man das GrundstĂŒck, den Pool und die Weite fĂŒr sich. Die 2 km Weg von Castel del Piano ist schmal, aber machbar. Da drei Ortschaften auf den umliegenden KĂ€mmen zu sehen sind, liegt San Vincenzo auch nicht zu abgeschieden. Besonders angetan hat es uns das Eselpaar Dora und Agusto, die die Ruhe mit uns teilten. AusflĂŒge dauern auf den kurvigen Straßen etwas lĂ€nger. Wir haben uns dann jedesmal wieder auf die RĂŒckkehr nach San Vincenzo gefreut; oft den Tag auch dort verbracht. Eine schöne Wanderung - fĂŒr uns eine der schönsten Überraschungen - fĂŒhrt zur Ente bzw. einem felsigen Bachlauf, wo drei FlĂŒsse in einer engen Schlucht zusammen laufen. Genauere Beschreibung gibtÂŽs sicher bei Paolo. Die gesamte Anlage mit Haus, Pool und Sonnenterrasse ist sehr liebevoll, sauber und professionell gemacht. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen fĂŒr Naturliebhaber und Menschen, die die Ruhe lieben. So also vielleicht in einem anderen Jahr gerne wieder.

Superb

Beautiful property split into two lets with a shared pool and outdoor pizza oven. We (family of 4) stayed for two weeks this summer holiday and were very glad we did. Pool was maintained almost daily and the grounds kept neat and tidy by paolo and his brother Stephano. The views are stunning and the surrounding farms and olive groves typically Tuscan. It was very hot whilst we were there, 35 degrees most days with little breeze so the pool was a lifesaver. Cooler conditions can be found up the local mountain (mt. Amiata ) where more adventurous activity can be sought. The local town of Castel del piano has everything you need except decent bug spray. Horseflies are a pest in Tuscany in the summer and we found deet spray effective to keep them off. Paolo and Stephano were friendly and helpful and there is a wonderful guide in the apartment with itineraries to help your the area. The people in the towns were quite frankly the most pleasant and hospitable people you will ever come across. You will however need a car to get the most out of the area and a sat nav as the property is not easy to find but paolo will send you coordinates which brought us to the door. We hope to return soon

Two of us stayed for 3 nights in November. It happened to be olive picking season, and everybody was picking olives with entire family. Paolo's mother was kind enough to bring back one bottle of freshly pressed olive oil (cannot get any fresher than this) in the evening so that we could take it back home. It was the best olive oil we had ever tasted. The farm house is very charming, and we felt like living in a fairly tale house. You feel instantly warm and comfortable the minute you walk in. The old family house is restored with a lot of attention and love. We like to go back next year for the same time for olive oil and hot springs. The house may be a little bit hard to locate being in the countryside. We put Seggiano in Castel del Piano in our GPS; GPS guided us to the house without any difficulty. Paolo's family was very welcoming and treated us just like family. We will definitely go back.

Idyllic. Highly recommended!!

My partner and I are in our 30's and wanted a quiet, cost-effective, rustic week in Italy. No crowds, tourists or temptations to spend lots of money. Having both been to Italy several times we weren't interested in sight seeing and simply wanted a place with a pool and great views where we could relax, cook and drink local wine. This place was perfect positioned within a working olive farm (we stayed in the ground floor apartment). From the courtesy call from Paolo on making an enquiry through to leaving we have no complaints. The outdoor wood-fired oven was a big appeal and we used it every night, making pizza's better than those we found in town! You MUST give it a go and like the other reviewers say, Paolo and his brother are on hand to give instruction and assist in any way possible. Each morning we got up, drove the 4-5k into the Castel del Piano (a much nicer town that Lonely Planet/Rough Guide gives credit), got a dopio expresso, visited one of the 9+ butchers (seriously!) and grabbed local wine (€1.60 a litre!) With the upstairs neighbours out sightseeing all day (as we hoped!) we made base round the pool where we read, played backgammon and ate - a lot! There are plenty of 'communal' areas too so you can move about - plus politely keep to yourself if you're after romance, rather than socialising with the other guests. This place is great for those who want to spend days/evenings outside and enjoy some piece and quiet (we didn't even use iPod). Well-travelled I'd rarely recommend places to people as i find it risky - even with the closest of family/friends. I've already told people about this place.

Belisimo!

We stayed on the top floor apartment for four weeks, and I have just returned back to the UK after a memorable stay. It was very hard to pack the bags into the car for the long drive home, and we will most certainly be coming back. The location is perfect - quiet, rural but always something happening. Long lazy walks in different directions meet with wildlife, discoveries and adventure. Castel is situated perfectly within reach of lots of attractions, as we had decided to spend no more than one hour in the car - we did not get a change to see everything we wanted, but what we did see we loved. Highlights for me were the thermal baths, epecially San Fillipo and Petrioli, Sovana, Monte Amiaca, San Fiora and Albarece. However, speak to Paulo as whatever question I threw at him, he had the answer - the man is a guru in this area, and his knowledge of this place really helped set this place apart. One thing I would like to add is that Paulo and his brother Stefano were brilliant and helping with every little detail of our stay, and they contributed hugely to what has been our most memorable holiday to date.

Im Herzen der Toskana

Ein typisch altes Steinhaus, mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet, wie aus dem Bilderbuch, inmitten von Wein- und Olivenhainen. Wir hatten das GrundstĂŒck fĂŒr uns, konnten unseren eigenen Rhythmus gehen - anders als in Hotels oder Ferienparks. Ein paar kleine SpielgerĂ€te sind direkt vorm Haus, ebenso stehen FahrrĂ€der bereit. Die Schafe grasen nebenan die Olivenhaine ab – das fanden auch unsere beiden kleinen Kinder toll. Highlight war aber der wundervolle Ausblick von der großen Loggia und direkt vom sehr schön angelegten Pool. Der Ort Castel del Piano ist in Sichtweite und in knapp 5 Minuten erreichbar (der Eisladen neben dem Dom ist gut), Ausflugsziele wie Montalcino oder Montepulciano nicht weit entfernt. Die Gegend hat so viel zu bieten: wilde Thermalquellen laden zum baden ein, ein Ausflug zum Meer ist auf jeden Fall lohnend (Fahrzeit: reichlich 1 Stunde), alte EtruskerstĂ€dte im SĂŒden sind nicht weit, aber auch San Gimignano und Siena sind erreichbar (Fahrzeit knapp 2 Stunden) und lohnen immer! FĂŒr uns war dieser Urlaub Erholung, Entspannung und Erlebnis pur. Paolo gibt gerne Ausflugstipps, Stefano kĂŒmmert sich leidenschaftlich um Haus, Pool und Garten. Gern verkauft er frisches Olivenöl aus eigener Ernte und dieses lĂ€sst uns jeden Tag beim Kochen daran zurĂŒckdenken! Herzliche GrĂŒĂŸe, Silvia und Bertram

Perfect accomodations, perfect host

Everything about my stay at this Tuscany Farmhouse was perfect. The accomodations are well maintained and well appointed, and are as represented in the photos and descriptions. The host - Paolo - made sure all our needs were met. As a little extra, yo make our trip really special, we arranged for Paolo to take us on hiking day trips throughout Tuscany - and to even provide a knitting instructor. Not only would I recommend this property to anyone considering renting a house in Tuscany - I am seriously considering returning to stay there again next year because I had such a good time. Wonderful

We spent nearly 2 weeks here and can highly recommend for anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful holiday. Ample space, well fitted and especially convenient for 2 families as one can take the ground floor and the other the upstairs flat and have complete privacy. The views are splendid and the air refreshing, even on a hot day. Well planned for outdoor living with pool, barbecue, pizza oven and outside furniture.. we will go back there for sure!

Great location, quality people

Paolo and his brother Stefano were gracious hosts, welcoming us with homemade wine and olive oil. Their hospitality was extended throughout the Mt. Amiata region, which is just south of the main tourist thoroughfares and is therefore less trafficked, less crowded, and less expensive. Castel del Piano makes a wonderful base of exploration, relatively short (though very windy) drives to Montalcino, Pienza, Orvieto, Siena and La Marema on the coast. Perhaps the best part about the home, however, is the Dorcia Valley itself, a deeply lush reserve where everything from wild fennel to blueberries grows in the open. If you walk down the path to the base of the valley, you'll even find a fresh-water stream that makes for idyllic bathing in the hot summer months. We joked about having our Adam and Eve moment, frolicking in the gentle currents amid a steep marble ravine. We loved the home's wood-fired oven, and the big windows that swung out from the stone walls, letting in the sunlight and fresh Tuscan air. At night we could hear the clatter of goats and the occasional trundling cow. This rural home is perfect for urban dwellers sick of traffic, noise and people. Just take a glass of Stefano's wine, climb up on the deck overlooking the valley, and enjoy. It's the Tuscan vacation we dreamed about and were lucky enough to experience.

We were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation. The views from each window were magnificant, especially those overlooking the stunning hill top village of Montegiovi. We really enjoyed our evening drinks outside on the raised terrace over looking the panoramo of olive groves and vineyards. We stayed for 10 night and the sunsets were equivally spectacular each evening. The accommodation itself was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The property had been lovingly restored and was decorated with local nic-nacs. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, as were the local neighbours. The trip would not have been complete without a short hike to the river gorge below in the valley and the wonderful traditional Tuscan food and wine in Castel Del Piano and the local Pizzeria on the road to Seggiano. The menus and prices varied but the quality of food was always very good and the service always relaxed and friendly. We very quickly relaxed into the Tuscan way of life and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We will definately be coming back. For those who are looking for accommodation with a pool then please note that Castel Del Piano has a super outdoor swimming pool complex. It costs 30 euros for a family of four, is good fun and is suitable for families with children of all ages. We visited at the end of July and the weather was glorious. The evenings warm enough to eat outside. The whole family was definately smitten with the location and as we said before, we will definately be back.

We have stayed here twice and are about to stay for a third time next week. The property is very well stocked and furnished and the welcome we have received has been lovely. Best of all are the views and stunning sunsets. We love walking so being able to put your boots on and have an endless choice of walks on your doorstep is wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. Shopping for day to day items is great in Castel del Piano. Also within striking distance of many tourist spots e.g Sienna, Florence, the coast, Monte Amiata, Montalcino, Pienza etc (the list is endless) We haven't had a bad meal yet in any of the local restaurants; our particular favourite is the restaurant at the back of Bar 60 in Seggiano.
