Wonderful, clean and comfortable vrbo in a cute neighborhood with many places to eat and wander! Beds were really comfortable and the place is well appointed.
Deb was very friendly and responsive to all our questions regarding parking and all of our other special requests! She was even able to let us check in a few hours earlier once the room was available. Check in was seamless and had no issues during our stay.
This was my second stay and I would certainly stay there again! The apartment is clean and convenient to restaurants and stores within walking distance. I love the garden/patio area - perfect place to read a book and have a glass of wine to recharge after a day of sightseeing. Definitely a perfect home away from home.
Deb's communication is top notch, I was informed that the suite was ready almost 3 hours early, and it is incredibly impressive how clean everything was! Originally when I arrived we ran into some technical difficulties which resulted in me being locked out upon check in, and unable to reach Deb(the host). These difficulties were outside of anyone's control or expectations, and Deb handled the situation with grace and kindness! She was able to get the situation fixed beyond my expectations, and she clearly had my safety and comfort as a priority. Deb's employees were able to help me out during my stay, and all of them were fantastic and so kind. The house is absolutely beautiful, private, with a great little backyard. It was 100 degrees when I stayed, and the AC kept everything nice and cool. Ample street parking, incredible thai food across the road, and so many coffee shops! I am sure that my partner and I will be back not only for the great place to stay, but the exceptional hospitality!! I stayed here on my own, visiting town for work, and I felt safe and secure the whole time. 10/10!!
Had to go to Portland to take my daughter to OHSU. This place was not quite what I had expected. It was very small and in an interesting part of town. But it was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We were very comfortable here and it was conveniently close to the hospital and very close to stores and restaurants. I appreciated that there was a locked gate to the property so there was no worry of random people wandering through. There are stairs which was a little difficult to walk my daughter to the room right after eye surgery (just FYI). But we managed just fine. Like I said before, it was very cozy and had everything we needed and then some. We are happy with our stay here.
The perfect spot to enjoy Portland. Just a few blocks from Grand Central Bakery and Jam, where I had the most glorious breakfast. The darling little backyard was lovely. Super comfy beds and a great little kitchen for prepping snacks, and such accommodating hosts! Will definitely stay on my next visit.
We only had one night on our way through to the coast. Deb's place was easy, comfortable, and well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised to find a more complete kitchen than I was expecting. Check in was easy and completely quiet. I expect some amount of noise in a basement unit, but we were not aware of other guests or residents at all. The garden is really sweet.
We had a good night at the pink house. It was quiet and cool and had everything we needed. Deb was great about communication and accommodating our needs. Parking was easy and there are lots of good restaurants in easy walking distance. We had an excellent meal at Hoda (Lebanese) just down the street. The sweet backyard was a nice place for morning coffee with birdsong.
This was a fantastic find! The location is incredible! Soooo many restaurants and shops within walking distance! The property was very clean with various coffee making options (coffee pot, french press, etc) and no shortage of towels. The temperate was perfect and the beds were the most comfortable! Definitely recommended!
Loved the charm of this little apartment. It was the perfect location for our stay. The back yard was perfect for listening to the birds in the morning. Deb was an excellent host and communicator.
Not only did they make us feel at home, the warmth exuded into the whole experience. Great people; great neighborhood; great weather and gardens; great city.
We werenât there long but the neighborhood is ideal for walking and has great shops and restaurants. The apartment was as described and great for us!
The location was great and there was plenty of parking. Deb was very responsive and helpful and the place was clean and comfortable. Would definitely book again.
Second time we stayed here while exploring Portland. Clean, comfortable and great location. Nice outside space and the neighborhood canât be beat. Never an issue parking.
The 'small city, big town' aspect of Portland is what drew us to Portland 25 years ago. I'm a Montana girl who loves the vibrancy of an urban atmosphere and the culture of both the countryside and the town. My husband Chuck and I have partnered on many projects through the years. He currently lives on site, and I live a mile away. We continue to enjoy working together and have put a lot of love into the Portland Belmont House. We now enjoy sharing it with others.
We bought this property because of its location, bones and vibes! 128 years of stories to tell. A diamond in the rough with unique character and hidden elegance made it a place worth putting our heart and soul into renovating. Solar panels, stagger studded walls, and ample insulation look to the future while the main floor 8' pocket doors, original fir floors, and intricately carved wood work reveal the past. All new electric and plumbing, and sound absorption channels between floors, help remove the unnecessary aggravations of the past to better enjoy the beauty of the space. Reminder: it is a one house duplex, and the sounds of people above can be heard. Some guests hardly notice. For a guest who is bothered by hearing movement above, the soothing sounds of the small noise machine will help.
The Belmont House provides a quiet, comfortable home stay within a vibrant, fascinating part of Portland. We are 3 blocks from the famous Sunflower Intersection at SE 33rd and Yamhill, a uniquely Portland part of Portland. The house charms people. The great yard, patio, barbecue, (and fire pit too!) make a person feel out in the countryside, yet, only a block and a half away are the shops, world class, affordable restaurants, gourmet grocery stores, food carts galore. Public transportation is a stone's throw away. Drive down the street and you are in downtown Portland in 4 minutes. Everything you need right out your door.
