Holiday at No 10St Lawrence beach condo

Just got back from two fantastic weeks in Barbados. Stayed at No 10 St Lawrence Beach Condo. Great location. It's my 8th visit to Barbados and I'm now planning to return soon. The apartment is beautifully set out with all the necessary amenities. Great weather and friendly people. Lots of great restaurants and night clubs in th e vicinity. Took my 7yr old grandson with me. He thoroughly enjoyed it and is looking forward to going back quite soon. From Derby. UK

Terrific condo in an excellent area.

Nice clean well equipped condo with a spectacular view. Loved the balcony and the sounds of the crashing surf. Excellent location - 15 minute walk to a decent grocery store, 10 minute walk to Dover Beach (our favourite) and step out your door for happy hour. Barbara was great and shared many tips about the area and Barbados in general. We really enjoyed Barbados. Loved the Cool Runnings sunset cruise. Would recommend to skip the Boatyard. Hired a private taxi for an island tour and really enjoyed it. No need to rent a car if staying here. We’ll be back again. The only thing to note is that while it’s quiet in the master bedroom you can hear the music from the Gap in the second bedroom. Not a problem for our teenager but it would have kept me up.

Dear Trevor, Thank you for your review, we hope to se you again soon. Next time you could consider one of the condos which has both bedrooms facing the ocean. There are four duplex condos and two penthouses to choose from at St Lawrence Beach Condos which have sea views from all the rooms. Best wishes Barbara

Perfect Location!

The condo was perfect and the location was great! All the restaurants needed are within walking distance and there is a very nice variety to choose from. There is a small convienence store in walking distance which has everything....eggs, milk, sunscreen and lots of rum! We also went to the fish market in Oistins and bought fresh fish and lobster and cooked it up in the room. The condo had a nice AC unit throughout and a very comfortable king size bed. My husband loves to surf...and he was able to surf right in front of our unit. So I could lay by the pool and watch him OR go up to the room and watch him from our balcony. The security guards on the property are super friendly and super helpful 24/7... just incase you need anything. I would recomend this unit to all my friends. I will return!

beautiful view

This was our first time in barbados. Very hard to decide where to stay. St Lawrence gap was the right choice for us. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because I would have liked a beach right at my feet. This condo was clean relaxing and had a beautiful view. Every morning we watched the turtles line up to sun. Monica was a lovely woman who serviced the condo. The crew there is so helpful and friendly. From Riccardo to gerry we felt like we were family. Barbara checked up on us to make sure all was perfect and her advice on where to go and what to see was on point. We met amazing people staying at this condo which made our vacation one of our top spots. The condo is right in the heart of music and food and beach and shopping. Thank you Barbara for an amazing vacation whenever I visit again I will be staying here . I miss it already. One note if you stay here take advantage of opening the windows and enjoying the beautiful sound of the waves crashing it is a remarkable feeling ..

Great view and location

If you want to be right by the ocean this a great place. You can hear the waves rolling in throughout the day and night! There is a well kept pool right in front of the shoreline. There is a small slither of sand that is technically a beach. However, we were advised not to swim off the beach by property manager as there can be strong rips. We are family of strong swimmers but still opted not to risk it based on the conditions at the time. There is a nice sandy beach about 10 minutes walk. The interior of the apartment is dated but, hey, you're here for the fun in the sun! The apartment did have a bit of an dank odor when we arrived - some air fresheners would be a good investment. The apartment really is in the heart of "The Gap" and directly opposite some loud and late opening bars and restaurants. This is great if you are ready to party and want an easy commute home. However, if you have young kids this may not be the best place for you. The second bedroom has two single beds. It is very basic and dark with no natural light. We live in NYC so our 11 year old daughter is used to noise. However, when the band plays - it really is loud - there is no escaping that. The main bedroom is much quieter and nicer and sounds are dulled by the ocean waves. The housekeeper was very responsive when we had an issue with a window not locking and the shower head falling off the wall. As I say, interior is not super schmick. Overall, a great stay by the water in the heart of things.

Lovely spot on the beach! Barbara was very responsive and great to deal with, lots of helpful tips for the island. We didn’t find it noisy from the night club, but if you aren’t use to waves crashing it is a bit loud. We loved our stay!

Lovely apartment

Prior to arrival Barbara had sent us lots of information about the area and the property, and there was someone waiting for us to show us around. The apartment is in a lovely position overlooking a small beach and a great pool area - we spent many happy hours there!! It is true there is not much kitchen equipment, but that did not bother us as we ate out most of the time. The master bedroom is wonderful - lovely and bright in the mornings with a great view. There are issues with the 2nd bedroom due to noise from the local bars, but we knew about that in advance, but if that is going to spoil your holiday do as Barbara has suggested and book one of the apartments with both bedrooms sea-side. St Lawrence is very entertaining in the evenings - lots of places to have a drink and some food - favourites were Crave exactly opposite the apartment, and Cocktail Kitchen. The pool area is fantastic - plenty of sun beds and shades - we mostly had it to ourselves. Thanks again Barbara.

Not a Family-friendly location

The view here is beautiful, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for the amenities themselves. We stayed here for spring break March 2019, so we feel we payed a premium for a place that didn't nearly justify it for our family of 4, which included kids aged 11 and 9. Had the pricing been significantly less, we would have had lower expectations. Several things we didn't realize when booking this were: - loud music until at least 1am, which can be heard clearly in the room with the 2 twin beds - not a kitchen for cooking. ie, only 4 forks, minimal cooking utensils, no basic seasonings like salt and pepper. We actually had to wash all the dishes before using them, as many had caked on food stuck to them. - couldn't actually go into the water by the condo as water level was high and waves roughly crashing against the rocks. We love being in the water and going for walks daily, so not easily being able to access the water and dealing with a party crowd when trying to go for a walk was not enjoyable - king bed in master bedroom was 2 twin beds together, and 1 was about an inch higher than the other While we loved our time in Barbados and the other condo where we spent a week, I would not return to the St Lawrence Gap area as a family.

Sunset Beach Condominium

We had a lovely stay at this apartment, the view was beautiful and the balcony spacious. Overall the apartment is well equipped. A couple of small disappointments the toilet pan on arrival was badly stained and the toilet brush in need of changing. We bought some perhaps stronger bleach and it was quickly rectified . The apartment was cleaned twice during our stay of 2 weeks not twice weekly as advertised. Having paid for a 2 bedroom apartment the 2nd bedroom was locked luckily my husband doesn’t snore I presume had we asked it would have been unlocked. However none of these things impacted on our holiday which we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment style holiday.

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for pointing out a few issues. I am slightly confused as to why you didn't ask for the door to the second bedroom to be unlocked. It would not have been a problem! We even chatted around the pool and on the beach a few times. Not to worry I'm glad it did not spoil your stay. Beautiful Barbados Vacay!

The condo is amazing with absolutely gorgeous views from every angle! Location is great, close to many good restaurants & bars, with beaches in walking distance or a short ride on the always fun Bajan bus. The king bed is actually 2 beds put together with one being slightly higher & not the most comfortable but it wasn’t a problem considering the great view you have from bed every morning. Would definitely stay here again no questions asked! Thank you Barbara

Gap Condo

We spent the week before Christmas in Barbados and had a wonderful time. The condo is in a great location with lots to do within walking distance. Barbara was very helpful with pre trip help and arranging transportation when we needed it. The view from the unit is amazing and the entire place had A/C which was important to us. The master bedroom bed is very firm and it is very bright in the morning, so no sleeping in. We could not hear the noise from the restaurant and bars across the street, but, they could in the front bedroom. You have to decide what is important for your stay, being close in or commuting. Driving on the left can be stressful, we rented a car and our son drove most of the time. We rode the bus (vans) a few times with no issues and it is cheap! The people in Barbados are friendly and helpful. Oistins fish fry on Friday night is a must, cab there for sure, and take cash, lots of local artisans there with great stuff! Food is very expensive and at Barbara’s suggestion we brought coffee and some snacks. Went sailing on the Wasn’t Me and it was a fabulous day! Drove to Earthworks Pottery, definitely worth the trip. Lots of great beaches, try out several. All in all, awesome stay!

Overall Property was Adequate

Barbara, thanks for your extreme cooperation regarding check-in and check-out time. All the details and preparation for our arrival is also appreciated. Monica was very accommodating as well. All staff members were very professional and helpful. The unit provides an excellent view of the pool area as well as the ocean. We felt safe and the location of the Condo is great since there are many restaurants, bars, shops etc. nearby. Since I am somewhat a germaphobe I felt the need to wipe down central areas and there was apparently some sort of spill on floor in twin bedroom prior to our arrival that had not been cleaned up sufficiently. Perhaps lysol wipes should be provided.

St. Lawrence Gap Beach Condos -- #10 Sunset Beach

Pictures do not do this condo justice. The place was immaculate. Our check in was speedy and efficient. Extremely well located in the Gap. Great quality restaurants and bars right outside the door. Views from the condo were breathtaking. AC units worked very well. Can't wait to return for a visit.

So Good we ended up staying twice!

The apartment is situated (mainly at night) lively St Lawrence Gap which seems to be the centre of everything within the immediate area. The Apartment block is immaculately maintained, with a private pool and access to a beach made secluded by the shoreline. St Lawrence Gap has a number of bars, nightclubs street food, art/craft vendors and is very quiet at daytime but with the apartment facing the shore it was very tranquil at night and you're never aware of the nightlife on the Gap itself. The apartment is less than 30 minutes from the airport & Bridgetown is about 20 minutes by car away, had every creature comfort to make the stay enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning later in the year to explore more of Barbados

So good we stayed twice!

Apartment complex is on the lively (mainly at night) St Lawrence Gap which seems to be the centre of most thing in the area. The accommodation block is immaculately maintained with it's own private pool and access to a beach made private by the formation of the shoreline. The apartment had every creature comfort to make our stay a pleasure and I am looking forward to returning later in the year to discover more of Barbados.

Stunning sea views and fantastic Gap location

The property is very well equipped with everything you need to be self sufficient. Apartments are very clean and well maintained with regular cleaning during our stay. The description and photos of the property were exactly as shown but the views from the apartment were even more stunning in real life! The service, information and contact we received from the property manager were a great help and made our stay so much better. I would recommend (and have done) this to any of my family and friends. We'll be going back for sure. Would recommend Crystal Waters on a Sunday for BBQ no entertainment, South Palms for Sunday carvery, Harlequin for evening meals, Crave for happy hour, Cafe Sol and Sharkies for food/drink and Cool Runnings for catamaran trips. Overall a fabulous holiday in lovely accommodation, in a lively and vibrant location.

Another Great week at the St Lawrence Gap Condos

The property is wonderful. The condo style accommodations are perfect for our family of 4, with two teenagers. The private beach and pier are a nice bonus - sitting on the pier at and after sundown is a special treat. The Sunset Beach Unit 10 is a nice 2 bedroom unit with a small kitchen, laundry. The bets part is the sliding glass doors across the front of the unit - you feel like the ocean is part of the room. Monica, Ricardo and Jerry are always pleasant and helpful. We've been coming for 6 years, and will be returning.

"It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This" Prime location on the Gap...close too Great Restaurants! Bars and the best Beaches. Luxurious apartments looking over the Beach/Sea Complete comfort Home from Home, highly recommend St Lawrence Gap Condos, beats staying in Hotels. Our first impression was very impressive.

The property was in a brilliant location with all the amenities to hand. The description of the property in the write up was accurate. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the overall presentation of the property, it was very clean and tidy with a spectacular view of the beach. This actually made the holiday all the more exciting and pleasurable. Prior to our arrival Barabara Trotman had provided us with some very valuable information about the area, she also visited us, to see how we were enjoying the holiday, this added a personal touch. We really enjoyed eating out at the local restaurants in particular Pureocean, we found all of the bars/ shops were very friendly and inviting. We as a family felt extremely secure in the accommodation, and would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We have shown a video of the layout of the property, and everyone is very impressed. We will definitely be staying there again, we felt as though we were at home.

Amazing Holiday in Barbados. Great accommodation

Great holiday! The location far exceeded our expectation. The accommodation had all the necessary equipment that made our holiday enjoyable and relaxing. We will definitely be back again next year. Thanks to all the staff who manage #10 Sunset Beach for always being at hand to answer our queries.

Holiday apartment Barbados a must

Fantastic apartment situated at no 10 sunset beach condo in st Lawrence gap. Breathtaking location and definitely worth visiting. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. Booking the apartment could have not been easier with Barbara.T from the moment of contact to arrival arrangements. The apartment has the necessary facilities for dining in and is fully air condition in all rooms. The bedrooms are equally spacious with your own private balcony.
