Ravissante maison avec joli jardin au bord de la mer ligurienne
Our lovely house is a dependence of an ancient villa, surrounded by a private garden rich with holm-oaks and cluster pines, a few steps away from one of the most wonderful rocks of the eastern point of the Gulf of the Poets. It's a perfect family house, very well equipped for children. The house, set on two levels, is divided as follows: the ground floor is an open space with living area and kitchen. On this floor there is also a small bathroom. From the ground floor you can get directly into a large terrace (25 mÂČ) which is on the same level of the big garden and furnished with a lawn swing, table and chairs for 8 people. On the first floor, mansard roof, there are two bedrooms. On the back of the house there is a private car park for two cars. The lawn around the house is really spectacular and particularly suitable for children who can play safely, while the parents can enjoy relaxing moments on the terrace. P.S. The house is usually lived by the owner. The apartment has been completely renewed during 2019 fall.
We had a wonderful time in the cottage of Elena, everything was perfect and Elena and the person looking after the house were extremely helpful in every aspect, we can only recommend this place!
The house is a short walk to the rocks and sea below, from Tellaro centre with restaurants and to the free beach. You can rent a boat or Kayak, visit La Spezia, Lerici, Portovenere and the Cinque Terre, but also Ameglia, Montemarcello and Bocca di Magra are nice to visit. Tellaro is very authentic. The house itself is nice, but when we were there with temperatures of 30-35 degrees ĂĄnd high umidity, it was very hot inside as well, because of the low ceiling. Fortunately there are a lot of fans and also a portable airco. The garden is a nice size,. In this area there are a lot of mosquitos, so don't forget to bring repellentspray. We had a great stay.
In the End of May we spent one week in the described home (4 adults one dog). All in all the pictures of the site corresponded to what we found, only the size was smaller than expected. The upper bed rooms have a very low ceiling even for small people, and the single beds are siutable only for small children. What we didn't see on the pictures was the bathroom which can't be discribed in ratings as there is no such low rating extisting. It was super small, the equipment was very old (partially rusty and mouldy) in a makeshift way and not really hygienic. The kitchen was equiped normally so that you could prepare breakfast and small meals, only you should not be surprised if unexpected "neighbours" turn up. We had ants all over the place. Do not leave any crums or other food stuff open in the kitchen area. The garden, nice size but not well looked after, only the terrace was in an proper state and usable.
All in all it was a learning session for us, as we will never again book a home if we haven't seen all the pictures and specific description.
This was our worst home we've ever booked. Never again.
The house is in a perfect location. Close to everything, but in a very quiet area.
It is very well equipped, the garden is small but beautiful. It is only a few steps away from the ocean.
Tellaro is a lovely little town with nice restaurants. We loved the area. It is much less touristic than the Cinque Terre.
We can highly recommend it and would love to go back.
