Magnifique loft construit sur une grange rustique.

Situé dans la belle John River Gorge, entre Blowing Rock et Grandfather Mountain, GLOBE Valley Ranch est ', où la chaussée se termine »et vos vacances de rêve commence. Notre famille a commencé notre rêve de construire cabanes de montagne pittoresques avec l'achat de 117 hectares sur la rivière Johns en 2005. Le Johns River et de la Forêt nationale de Pisgah bordent notre propriété et offrent un beau cadre tranquille pour être apprécié en toutes saisons!

Nous sommes fiers d'offrir notre nouveau 1000 pieds carrés grenier de la marque sur le bois grange encadrée avec 2 chambres et une salle de bain. Le loft dispose d'un espace barbecue et le jeu. Nous louons sur une base quotidienne ou hebdomadaire. Nous vous invitons à écouter et observer la faune abondante sur notre superficie vierge et profiter de la détente totale sur la terrasse qui surplombe 8 hectares défrichés sur la rivière Johns. Vous pouvez également profiter d'une randonnée vers le bas par la rivière Johns à «mouiller un crochet. Notre destination de vacances offre un large éventail d'activités de plein air pour les amateurs d'aventure au printemps, été, automne ou en hiver.

We really enjoyed our week at the barn. It is remote, but that's what we wanted. We had a few outings and a couple days playing at the river. Fun property, Wed definitely go back.

Our fourth stay and just as wonderful as the rest. We enjoy spending a day or two just hanging out at the river. A little planning is required due to remote location but once there we always have a great time

This property and loft are truly impressive! The grounds are beautiful and offer easy access to a cool, refreshing river. After a day spent outdoors, the loft is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It’s obvious that the owners have put a great deal of care and thought into designing every detail of both the property and the loft. We definitely plan on coming back!

Wonderful place in the middle of nature

Beautiful loft on top of a barn bordering Pisgah National Forrest. Acres of space for hikes, games or jogging. River is close by with swimming holes and fishing. Short drive to Blowing Rock and Boone. Host was always extremely receptive.

Don't pass this one by!!

We are repeat visitors at Globe Valley and you simply must check out this barn. The Murphy's have done an amazing job turning this loft into a cozy space for gathering with friends or family. A sprawling kitchen island and large table to accommodate everyone. All the comforts of home packed into this lovely barn next to the river. Grab a pole and a float and come relax. You won't regret it :)

Relaxing

Rented this cabin to be near the Pisgah and do some fishing. This was the perfect location for me. River access on the property was nice. Plenty of wildlife seen on the property also. Would stay again.

Fantastic place very peaceful

The barn had absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Very well equipped with necessary items and lots of fun stuff for the kids as well. We had a great time down at the river, playing darts in the barn, having fires outside for roasting marshmallows, playing board games, and just sitting on the deck watching the sun set. The location is secluded and pretty off grid. To get almost anywhere you will have a dirt road in your future. We did not mind this at all. Maybe a better sheet of instructions would have been helpful, but we found everything we needed eventually. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay in the barn. It was clean and comfortable. Beautiful property and river access. No close by groceries or restaurants so plan to stop in Blowing Rock or Lenoir.

Unique VRBO provides special memories

The Loft over the Barn provided a delightful base for our exploration of Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Morganton and Lake James. Morning coffee and evening cocktails were enjoyed on the deck overlooking the meadow and forest. Dinners were enjoyed on the large kitchen island - with only the two of us, the dining room table for 6 was far too big, while the swivel stools at the island enabled us to watch TV sports as we ate. Plenty of utensils, china, pots/pans made cooking dinner easy, which after each day full of exploration, sightseeing, and hiking was most welcome. . . as was the shower with plenty of hot water and great water pressure! Homey touches added to our enjoyment - the tobaggan from LL Bean in the dining room, the interesting ceiling fixtures by each bedroom dresser, the comfy leather recliner. If you have children or grandchildren with you, there are plenty of puzzles and games, a swing set, and other playground equipment. The only challenge was the ten miles of unpaved gravel road for the most direct route to Blowing Rock - however, we discovered it was easily traversed in our sedan, so no problem! Thanks to this VRBO for special memories!

Exactly what we were hoping for

We had a lovely three nights in the barn. The space was cozy and charming. It felt secluded and far away, but we were close to great hikes in multiple directions. Great base for those, but we ended up doing less of that than we’d planned, because the kids had such a great time playing in the river at the edge of the property. Five stars from all of us.

Unexpectedly short visit

We had plans to stay 4 nights in the barn. When we woke up after the 1st night, we found out our 19 year old Chihuahua that we had taken with us had passed away. She belonged to my parents and sister who had already passed so we knew they would want us to take her back to be buried at home. I contacted the Murphy's and they were very understanding when I told them we had to leave. We talked on the phone about a possible refund but no specifics. We just knew we had to go home for burial. I found out the next day that we had been refunded the majority of our charges. I was pleasantly surprised! They were very kind and generous with us. Great folks to work with and we will try it again at a later time!

Beautiful location on the mountains and a great property. Plenty of room to walk the dogs and amazing river access for fishing. It is definitely worth the price and the owner was very nice and accommodating.

Our third trip to Globe Valley Ranch and this is such a fantastic place to stay!! This time we celebrated our son's 5th birthday with family and grandparents here and everyone LOVED it. A beautiful weekend with a beautiful view!! Can't wait to go back :)

Great mountain getaway!

We booked a last minute trip to NC to take our daughter to see snow. This property was absolutely exactly what we wanted...in the mountains, away from people with great outdoor opportunities. We got snow the first day. The next day it was melted, but it gave us more time to spend down by the river. The barn had everything we needed, but make sure you bring all your food and drinks because it is not a quick trip to the store. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are seriously considering coming back in warmer weather. Thank you!!

Beautiful property

Wonderful place in the Johns river valley. Secure and secluded yet not too far from nearby activities (if you ever want to leave the property). Great river access on property. Clean comfortable loft above barn. We had a great time and will definitely be back in the future.
