Achevée en avril 2003, cette maison à ossature de bois a un grand plan d'étage ouvert avec des plafonds voûtés. La maison est somptueusement décorée avec des meubles et des antiquités uniques. Il a également toutes les commodités modernes et de belles vues sur les montagnes environnantes. AMÉNAGEMENT DE LA MAISON: À l’étage principal: cuisine, salon avec foyer au bois, salle à manger, demi-bain, chambre principale avec lit king-size, salle de bain complète avec baignoire de jardin et véranda. A l'étage: BR avec lit queen, BR avec plein, BR avec plein, BR avec deux jumeaux, 2 salles de bain complètes partagées (salles de bains Jack & Jill entre 2 chambres). Possède une allée partagée. Linge de maison (draps et serviettes) sont fournis pour votre commodité.
VEUILLEZ NOTER: l’air central au rez-de-chaussée et des unités d’air et de chauffage mini-split hautement efficaces nouvellement ajoutées (août 2015) au 2e étage.

Les chiens de moins de 25 kg sont les bienvenus moyennant des frais supplémentaires.

Family Gathering for Memorial Garden Service

A very lovely home in a peaceful setting, a short walk to the memorial garden where we celebrated the life of a senior family member. The accommodations were excellent. Parking was a bit of a challenge as we had senior folks as well as babies in car seats, so cars were being shuffled to keep to only 2 cars in the driveway. We loved staying in this lovely home.

Wonderful Stay at Shenandoah

This was our 2nd time staying at this house. It has plenty of space for our family to spread out, with comfortable beds. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. We enjoy sitting on the deck and the screened porch, you can hear the creek in the distance. The driveway is a bit difficult to navigate with multiple cars, but you can also park at the top of the driveway and walk down.

Great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shenandoah. The pictures do justice to the interior. The house is well stocked, including "starter" soaps and so on. We did have one unexpected guest - a black bear who wandered down the driveway to the front door! There is a hiking path to Lake Susan right below the property that runs along a creek. Black Mountain is an easy 5 minutes away. Highly recommend.

Hikers Paradise

Back of house has a connector to trail system! Also super convenient (short drive) to other trails. Near Asheville where we kayaked by Biltmore and shopped downtown. Loved the bedroom configuration with mom/dad with the suite and extended family upstairs. Well stocked kitchen. WONDERFUL rental.

Perfect Location

We loved the location in Montreat, close to Black Mountain and a short drive to Asheville. Beautiful, comfortable home with the sounds of the river and hiking trails directly from the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Awesome Family Vacation in Montreat

This is our first visit to Montreat and we can't wait to return. If you have never been before, you owe it to yourself to come and check it out. The weather here is perfect in the summertime and the Montreat area is such a Charming Little Treasure. Shenandoah only helped to enhance the experience. The house is very well laid out and great for a large family. All of the beds are extremely comfortable and they have everything you need. The place is also spotless. We will be returning to this house!

Perfect Sanctuary nestled in Montreat

This was the perfect location foot our family. A spacious home away from home for our week in Black Mountain. A wonderful week of unwinding and quality family time. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to the town path and play in the stream.

Utterly delightful

This house did not feel like a rental; it felt like staying in someone’s beautifully curated home. We enjoyed one of the best holidays we’ve ever spent as a family here. There are walking and hiking trails accessible from the house, and just being in the home was dreamy - beautiful and comfortable furnishings, very well- equipped kitchen, great location. We hope to be back soon!

30 year college reunion

We had 7 women staying at the property. It was perfect! We couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the home was. The kitchen was well equipped, the living room was cozy and comfortable. We loved the fireplace, kept it going the entire weekend with the stock of firewood provided. Can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time here. The Cabin was incredibly well equipped. We had trouble finding the driveway at first (in the dark) and the house wasn't easy to identify in the dark but that would be the ONLY downside. We were informed ahead of time that the oven was not functioning which was a bit of a bummer considering we were planning on cooking, but we were able to work around this and Greybeard was very considerate about informing us. Instructions were clear throughout the home as well, as far as how to prepare for checkout and what light switches controlled which lights. The house and views were gorgeous, clean, and accommodating. The trails surrounding the house were great for dog walking (our overheated florida dogs had a BLAST!). The location was lovely and I will definitely plan another stay in the future.

The house was spotless and exactly as described. It is quite charming and comfortable for a group. We had hoped to stay in Asheville but the house we selected fell through and we selected this house in Montreat. It was a very different experience but we all enjoyed staying in a more rural area. I would definitely recommend Shenandoah and Greybeard to friends. I hope to return myself!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I called Greybeard Rentals months ago after looking at numerous rental houses in the Asheville area online. The staff there was excellent. She steered me to Shenandoah in Montreat and it exceeded all expectations. I had a long list of requirements - beds and baths for my husband and I and 2 adult children; near fishing; near hiking; private and quiet. She gave us all that in a beautiful house inside and out as well as proximity to great restaurants and shops in Black Mountain. We all had a truly outstanding experience. So good we have already booked for next year!

The home was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were so comfortable and we had a great view of the mountains from the living area. There was a nice walking trail for my dogs also. The home is in an ideal location and is only a 15-20 minute drive to Asheville. We loved the Montreat/Black Mountain area also. We would definitely stay here again!
