We sure enjoyed having you and hope to have you back again. You took such excellent care of the property and I appreciate it very much. The fall is a great time to visit when the leaves start to change and the weather is cooler. This has been an amazing summer at the Retreat. NO bugs but lots of birds and wild animals to see. The manantees came to the dock and a big alligator was seen swimming down the river. Winter is coming and St. Marks Wildlife Refuge will welcome the Northern birds back for the season. So many beautiful birds that are only seen in the Winter. Looking forward to welcoming lots of visitors to our little gem on the river.

We do hope you will come again. Your recommendation to rent a boat and have it delivered does add so much to your stay. The river is an easy one to paddle up to the springs and then drift back to the cabin. A great way to see more of the river. Thanks for your review!

It was great having you. As a retired teacher of 43 years, it brings me joy to be able to celebrate in a small way the accomplishments of those staying at the Retreat and graduation from law school is so special to me as my husband went to the University of Florida for law school. It brings back special memories of those times. Celebrating life's special events is so important to me be it a birthday, anniversary, holiday or any other event that is important to our guests. Our college activities are a great time to celebrate and I always try to have a flag to add to the special time my guests spend at the Retreat. So happy you came to stay. Our guests are more than guests. Many come back to stay over the years because of the calm, peaceful environment which is so rare to find in this world we live in now. My husband who loved the Retreat is meeting our guests has passed away but his favorite thing was to spend a short time talking to our guests. Before COVID we would escort our guests to the Retreat to make sure they got checked in and to answer any guestions. He would enjoy it so that at times, I would have to say, "You know it is time for us to go." During COVID we were not able to do this and he always missed. Needless to say the Retreat has brought so many guests over the years since 2004 and I hope for many years to come, it will continue to be a little piece of HEAVEN on earth for our guests to enjoy.
