La Maison de pavot, ainsi nommé car il est des briques d'or et le toit rouge vif, a tout le confort, la commodité et le caractère que vous pourriez souhaiter dans une maison de vacances. La maison est située dans le centre de Kanab, la distance de restaurants et boutiques et plusieurs têtes de sentiers locaux pour la randonnée à pied. Récemment rénové, la maison est équipée avec tous les nouveaux peinture, revêtements de sol, les appareils et les meubles.

A l'étage, la maison dispose de deux chambres, une avec un lit king-size et une avec un lit queen-size, ainsi que d'une salle de bain complète taille. Le salon dispose d'une grande télévision à écran plat, avec Apple TV, Netflix et un système audio améliorée. Le nettoyage, cuisine spacieuse a été récemment équipé avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour préparer un repas gastronomique, y compris les pots de haute qualité, des casseroles et des couteaux, un café / machine à espresso et de la vaisselle pour 12 personnes. Le manger dans la cuisine a une table qui peut accueillir 6 à élargir.

La chambre du bas comprend un lit king-size, plus un lit de repos / gigogne avec deux matelas jumeaux, et un coin salon avec sa propre télévision à écran plat, Apple TV et Netflix. La grande salle de bain en bas, est complète avec une douche et une baignoire jacuzzi pour se détendre après une longue randonnée.

Tous les lits ont des matelas de haute qualité, des draps et des oreillers pour votre maison loin de confort. Les salles de bain sont pourvues d'articles de toilette de voyage de taille, y compris les sels de bain pour le jacuzzi. Great location

The Poppy house is just as listed. Fully stocked with everything you need! We had a small hiccup when we arrived, the house had not been cleaned but once Ginger knew she got the cleaning crew over quickly and they were super apologetic. Even gave us some gift cards to local restaurants for our inconvenience!! Our dogs loved the large backyard and the hot tub was great after our hikes at the National Parks

Centrally located.

It was really nice to be able to walk to restaurants and galleries. Quiet street and we were lucky to have great weather. Comfortable and great kitchen, though we didn’t cook much.

Perfect location in Kanab

We enjoyed our stay. Host was very responsive with questions. Nice central location for the parks and volunteering at Best Friends. At one point we were seven people, and accommodations were a little snug, but we made it work! Thanks for hosting.

Nice yard and deck, good location

Loved the large fenced backyard for our pups. We also appreciated the furniture coverings as I am sure the property manager does also. I liked the older, pioneer era, feel of the house although it’s been updated with all the modern conveniences. It’s centrally located near heart of town. We would definitely stay again.

Already thinking about next stay.....

We are a group of 3 middle-aged women staying in Kanab mostly to volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary - so a good rest is essential. The Poppy House has very comfortable beds, is scrupulously clean and has a wonderful lawn in the back with a patio where you can read a book or host a few friends. The appliances seemed new and worked really well. The kitchen is well-appointed, so you can cook a meal when you want to, although the Poppy House is within easy walking distance of several restaurants. I will gladly stay there again when I feel the itch to visit Best Friends again.

Wonderful House in Perfect Location

We had a wonderful time at the Poppy House. We were in town to volunteer at Best Friends, but it also happened to coincide with the Balloons and Tunes festival and we were just half a block away from the fair. The house was very cozy and warm through some cold nights and snowy weather (seriously, I wish our windows were as good as the windows here!) and perfectly stocked for everything we needed. Everything in town is about 5 minutes away and less than 10 minutes to Best Friends. We were planning to bring an overnight dog home with us from Best Friends and let Ginger know ahead of time. When we got there, the house was already prepped with covers on the couches and a nice bench with blankets and things for the dogs. Overall we had a great time and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Ginger for all your help and consideration during our stay!

Perfect Location - Quiet and Scenic

This home was perfect for us! The location is in a quiet neighborhood and close to the parks, hiking trails, and attractions we wanted to visit. Communication with the owner was on point - including a last-minute message that might change how we packed. The large, fenced yard was great for our family and our dog. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well-stocked for preparing our own meals. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends, and we will stay again when in the area. Thanks so much for the warm hospitality!

Kanab Gem!

A wonderful cottage a short walk to Downtown Kanab. Quiet neighborhood. HUGE grassy fenced backyard that our 2 pups totally enjoyed! The Poppy House has the most complete House Guide we have seen to date. Every question answered, tons of info on sight seeing, hiking, restaurants, etc. We brought our own firepit with us (approved by owner) and enjoyed our evenings under the stars. A lovely neighborhood with ZERO light pollution. We will keep this one our short list so we can stay again if we get back to this area. Thank you Ginger for sharing your Poppy House!!

Poppy House Review

The property was as expected with all amenities listed. We had an issue with the AC not functioning properly. Since we arrived at 8:00 pm we slept with the windows open as the desert night air cooled the house interior. I emailed the owner that morning and within 30 minutes she had arranged for the AC repair company to service our rental. By midday we had full AC. No other issues occurred. The kitchen was well stocked, The back fenced yard and covered raised deck were great for our dog and dining al fresco. The beds were comfortable for all my family members. The home was in walking distance to a nice multi-use city park and Kanab hiking trail system. We could also walk to nearby restaurants and shops. It is a great place to come home to after full day trips to the surrounding national parks of Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the Grand Canyon. Multiple Utah attractions are close as well but we did not have enough time to explore those options. I would recommend staying at this home.

The Poppy House was the perfect hime base for exploring Zion and Bryce. The house was well equipped and comfortable and the yard was perfect for the dog.

Great Property & Host

The property was clean and nice. We enjoyed having the downstairs area with our kids. The yard was fantastic and we even used the hot tub. Ginger was very responsive and a wonderful host. Only issue was the AC stopped working in the middle of the night and, despite Ginger’s efforts we had to go without for a couple nights due to the holiday weekend. There were a lot of fans but the temp got up to 82 inside at night which wasn’t very comfy. I’m sure she will have it fixed for the next guest. I would still highly recommend Ginger and her properties, which should say a lot.

Convenient and cozy

We have stayed at this house twice and absolutely love it! The backyard is an oasis with a wonderful hot tub and lots of room for your furry friends to run around. The house is clean, has comfortable beds and all the amenities you need whether for a weekend visit or a week vacation. The location is ideal for walking to the shops and restaurants in downtown Kanab. We will definitely be back!

We became enchanted with Kanab on our first visit in 2011, and have returned twice a year since then. We love working at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, hiking on the local trails and we enjoy the friendliness of the small town.

This golden brick home located two blocks from downtown has all the character of a solidly built older home, with the comfort and convenience of a new remodel. The shaded and spacious fenced back yard is perfect for entertaining, playing or hosting your pets or sleepover animals from Best Friends. The town pool, tennis courts, skate park, sports courts and a beautiful park are just two blocks away for summer enjoyment, and several local trail heads are within 1/4 to 1/2 mile away for walking, hiking or running.
