1 lit juste à côté de York Minster!

Quirky, un joyau caché, un peu d'espace incroyable. Ce ne sont que quelques-uns des mots et des termes que nous avons utilisés récemment pour essayer de décrire Minster Loft, mais en réalité il est de loin préférable de venir voir par vous-même pour vraiment apprécier celui-loft à deux pièces.

Situé au sommet d'un bâtiment classé historique, l'appartement est également juste à côté de la maison natale de l'infâme Guy Fawkes. Donc, vous êtes immédiatement plongé dans l'histoire de la ville. Il est également très bien placé aussi. Il suffit de sortir de la porte vous place à deux minutes à pied de toutes les attractions de la ville et aussi les célèbres rues commerçantes de Stonegate et Low Petergate sont littéralement sur le seuil.

Il existe de nombreux éléments d'époque exposés dans l'appartement qui se manifestent dès que vous ouvrez la porte. Ils sont également très joliment complimentés par le choix de l'ameublement à travers. Il y a une cuisine de style de cuisine complète avec four électrique et plaque de cuisson et aussi une table à manger pour accueillir jusqu'à 4 pour le dîner. Le salon dispose également d'un mur LCD monté télévision où vous pourrez vous détendre avec un café de luxe de la machine à café fourni.

La chambre a une vue imprenable sur la cathédrale d'York, vous vous sentez comme vous pouvez atteindre et toucher. Le lit peut également être constitué comme une chambre double ou lits jumeaux. Il y a aussi une salle de douche l'air très moderne, situé en face de la chambre.

- Des vues fantastiques York Minster de la fenêtre de la chambre
- Emplacement en centre-ville avec tout ce que York a à offrir juste à la porte
- Salle de douche élégant
- Une chambre flexible. Cela peut être mis en place soit comme un lit double ou lits jumeaux.

S'il vous plaît ��tre conscient que cela est un appartement au deuxième étage sans ascenseur. L'appartement dispose également d'une hauteur de la tête restreint dans les lieux en raison de l'angle de la toiture afin de ne pas recommandé pour les personnes de plus de 5'11. A charge pour le stationnement est disponible à proximité - s'il vous plaît renseigner pour plus de détails.

Excellent location

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Minster Loft. The best thing about it is the location. Next door to York Minster with shops, restaurants and everything else just a stones throw away. Stays York communication is really good too. We love this little place so will definitely stay again. Only negatives are the stairs up to the property and it would be nice to have a tv in the bedroom after a long day exploring.

Up in the Loft

I liked this place a LOT. Great location, super cozy, in the middle of it all. Important -- if you are taller than 5 feet 5 inches it will be uncomfortable for you. It is also at the top of three flights of stairs. The check in process was easy, the hardest part was figuring out which key went to which door. After that, it was all smooth!!

Minster Loft perfect getaway

The check-in was easy and straightforward. The climb up the steep flights of stairs to the top was worth it as the door to the lodgings opened up into a bright and welcoming space. Sloping ceilings might make this tricky for some but I was surprised by how spacious the Minster loft is. Everything was clean and well presented. There was even a welcome pack of tea, coffee and biscuits. The kitchen area was well supplied with equipment, two sofas and a separate dining table area made this a comfortable base from which to explore York. And when wandering around was done a lovely bathroom and bedroom to come home to and rest ready for another day's adventures. A brilliant central location, all the information needed well set out in the folder provided and a contact number in event of emergency made this a relaxing and stress free break. Thanks to all the team at Stays York.

The floor in the building is uneven as is expected with old buildings. BUT the bed is not usable as it is with the sloop on it. The bed needs to be level. Lots of stairs Great view of the minster and the bells were great.

Great stay

Absolutely amazing views and fantastic location, only thing I could fault was height wise, I was okay but my partner who is taller struggled slightly. Wasn’t too bad as we were only there a short stay and he did comment it would only be an issue if we actually livid in property full time

Loft with a spectacular view

We have enjoyed our stay tremendously. The view out of the bedroom widow is unbeatable. The location right in the center is superb. At night it is calm. Mind the headspace if you are taller than 170 cm. And it is a bit awkward to pass through a dental practice whenever you get in and out. :) They don´t seem to mind, though.

Stunning attic flat literally across the road from York Minster. Perfect base for discovering York. We added another night to our stay because of the accommodation. My only warning would be if you’re not good with stairs then this being an attic property might not suit. Otherwise - every window a stunning view. Getting woken up by Minster bells os a joy! AAA+++++++++

Great Location

This amazing little apartment made our weekend extra special. Check in was 4pm but we received a message letting us know we could check in early, which was a bonus. Just a 15 minute walk from the train station and we arrived at our destination. There was a thoughtful little welcome pack at the apartment filled with teabags, coffee, milk, biscuits etc which was very much appreciated. The apartment was warm, welcoming and very clean. And the view from the bedroom window was WOW with the Minster right next door. The location couldn't be any better. Restaurants and quaint little pubs right on our doorstep. The fact that we were in the middle of everything we needed made our weekend so much easier. We could just pop back to base when we needed to put our feet up or drop stuff off. The bed was so comfy. Had some of the best nights sleep ever. We will definitely return for a stay here.

Excellent location and we could only have been closer to the Minster if we'd camped in the nave

Just to start with the cons, it is up three flights of stairs, but as a lazy person I did not find them excessive. Also the ceiling beams are low, especially in the bedroom but not excessively so. Those quibbles aside it is a great apartment and fantastic location. It's self-catering, and as such probably under-used by ourselves, but if we'd been staying longer than four days I'm sure we'd have made use of the extensive facilities. Given everything else provided i was surprised at the lack of a microwave, but as I say we weren't cooking for ourselves on this occasion, and as there was a hob/oven we might not have missed it if we had been. There was also a useful info pack giving information on the various devices, heating and aircon etc, though it should have included a note on the taps which took me a while to figure out (they had to be lifted, not pushed down!) :-) All in all an ideal place to stay, especially for an extended period, and I'd be happy to go back again

In 10+ years of booking vacation rentals on VRBO, I’ve never had an experience that inspired me to write a negative review. …Sadly, my experience renting the Minster Loft brings that run to an end. I’ll start with the good: the location can’t be beat and the views are beautiful. Despite these great assets, this rental experience left my partner and I feeling uneasy, inconvenienced and at times, at risk. On our second night of our stay, we were locked out. It was cold out. Our phone batteries were about to die. We requested a phone call. We could only get texts from management offering useless advice. (“Did you try turning the keys both ways? ”) … Eventually, a third-party security man arrived and confirm that the door was stuck. Via text, management eventually, they offered us another property, but left us with no access to our luggage, phone, chargers, or umbrellas to combat the coming rain. The kind security person ultimately finagled the lock to get us in. Not until the following afternoon did management to visit the site, confirm that there were faulty locks, and addressed the matter. Wifi never worked. We reported this, but no effort was made to rectify the matter. There were also issues with communication surrounding payment of the balance, which management insisted on conducting offline from VRBO, via bank transfer. Yes, the views are lovely, but management of the property is limited, unaccommodating and quite literally, left us out in the cold.

A perfect hideaway in the centre of York

Ok, let me start with a negative. This accommodation is not for tall people. However, I am only 5'5'' so this was IDEAL for me. This is the most fabulous find right next to York Minster. It is an original attic with exposed beams, slanted ceilings, and more character than you can shake a stick at. A beautiful shower room, the comfiest of beds, fully fitted kitchen, and even a little starter pack with tea, coffee, milk, shortbread, crisps, and chocolate. There is no lift so the 3 floor climb is no to be underestimated, or taken lightly, but the view is well worth it. Clean, well appointed, and with excellent wifi, this is somewhere I will look out for on any return visits to York.

Our weekend stay in York

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint location, the view from the bedroom window was amazing overlooking York Minster. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit York, it’s in walking distance to all of the attractions this walled city has to offer. Would definitely stay here again

The apartment was very clean, although a bit of attention to detail was needed for the cutlery and crockery. The welcome pack was really thoughtful with some lovely touches. The location was top notch and even though you had to walk through a dentist surgery to get to the apartment, this wasn’t a problem. The ceilings were low with it being a loft apartment, but you quickly got used to this. Overall, we would recommend staying here and we know we certainly will be again

Great location; quirky, clean apartment; terrible customer service

Word of caution: book this lovely apartment with a few days notice, avoid last-minute bookings. We were informed on the day of check-in that the flat could not be cleaned and we would need to find another accommodation for the night. We were unable to amend our booking online so we've entered a long process of trying to get a refund for the night - still pending. When we went to check in the next day we were told that check-in was at 4pm, not 3pm as it was advertised online. We asked if we could leave our backpacks somewhere in the meantime as I'm pregnant and didn't want to carry the extra weight but were told no and not given any advice on where it might be possible, despite the store across the street from the office offering the service. The flat itself is lovely and any who stay (as long as you are short) will enjoy it.

Lovely apartment in an excellent location

Minster Loft was a wonderful apartment in terms of its location and views and Chris was very helpful showing me the keys and access. It was always nicely warm and cosy and a good place to have a peaceful break. Sadly the provision in the apartment was rather poor for accommodation that was listed as “boutique”. There was no bottle of milk in the fridge to allow for that first cup of tea (horrible UHT milk capsules instead). The Wifi did not reach the bedroom, there were no instructions for the oven and no oven gloves. The cutlery and plates looked as if they had come from the jumble sale and there was no washing up bowl, egg cups or teapot. It was the first apartment I have stayed in at Christmas where no effort was made to decorate which was quite sad. I would agree with the comments passed about it not being suitable for tall people as the ceiling, particularly in the bedroom is low.

Superb apartment in a wonderful location.

I loved my stay at Minster Loft. The view of the Minster was incredible. The apartment itself was lovely, cosy and well equipped. The location couldn't have been any more central to everything York has to offer. I will return just as soon as I can.
