Adresse exceptionnelle : ...

Adresse exceptionnelle : appartement magnifique avec une vue merveilleuse. Lever de soleil depuis la terrasse à couper le souffle ! Un seul regret : n'être restés qu'une semaine !!! "Charme et authenticité, ...

"Charme et authenticité, l''appartement dispose d''une superficie très agréable à la décoration soignée. Sa localisation permet aisément de rejoindre les sites touristiques ( Etna, Taormine, Syracuse, ...). Sa situation au coeur du village permet une immersion dans la vie sicilienne. Sont à la disposition des locataires, une multitude de renseignements (restos, bars, sites à découvrir)."

"Ce qu''il faut retenir a...

"Ce qu''il faut retenir avant tout de ce séjour à Acicastello, c''est d''abord l''extrème qualité de l''accueil par Valeria qui se traduit par mille attentions à notre arrivée.Vous le découvrirez... Vient ensuite le magnifique appartement avec ses plafonds style"Liberty" et sa situation exceptionnelle avec vue sur le château Normand et la mer sans oublier les fameux rochers du Cyclope. Allez vous balader tout à côté sur la Piazza, ambiance familiale, kiosque à café et gelati, faites vos courses chez tous les artisans de la rue principale et finalement découvrez le pays de Catane à Taormina."

"Nous avons beaucoup appr...

"Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'' appartement mais le propriétaire avait omis de nous aviser qu''a proximité du logement il y avait une entreprise commerciale qui faisait du bruit musique disco etc toute la journée et parfois la nuit ce qui nous a empêché de profiter de nos vacances. La situation était tellement grave que nous avons considéré nous en aller mais la proprio na pas offert de nous rembourser une partie du séjour A mon avis il s'' agit d'' une fausse représentation sur l'' environnement du logement loué.On a volontairement dissimulé de l'' information car nous n'' aurions jamais loué a cet endroit si nous avions su qu, il y avait un tel centre de musique et de loisir a cet endroit Je crois que vous devriez informé le proprio qu'' il doit modifier son annonce en conséquence "

"L''appartement de Valeria est situe pres du chateau.Par sa hauteur de plafonds peints et ses sols en carrelages colores,il a beaucoup de cachet,Ajoutez a cela le gout sur pour le choix des couleurs,des meubles et des bibelots chines par Valeria,et vous avez une idee de l''ambiance.De la terrasse,les leve tot verrons le soleil poindre derierre les Cyclopes.L''amenagement est complet,rien ne manque pour un sejour confortable.Valeria nous "prete"son sweat home,en confiance,et nous prodigue maints conseils de visites,restaurants,etc...afin que ses amis d''une semaine repartent avec l''envie de revenir!C''est ainsi que nait l''amitie,merci Valeria.Nadine&Olivier"

Truly authentic Sicilian home.

This was our second stay after several years away and we must say we were not disappointed.This is an absolute gem of an apartment, very clean, comfortable and above all very tastefully furnished (with great appreciation of the ceiling frescos).Valeria's hospitality is exceptional providing, maps, guides and recommendations on restaurants regarding Aci Castello and surrounding areas. We particularly enjoyed the terrace with its wonderful sea views and beautiful sunsets.We would holeheartedly recommend this apartment to eveyone.

Vi assicuro che non esagero: vale la pena di andare in Sicilia anche solo per rilassarsi sdraiati nel terrazzo sul mare di quest'appartamento comodo ed arredato con gusto. La casa, A 30 metri dal Castello normanno e dalla piazzetta del paese, offre un panorama e tramonti stupendi. Valeria, la proprietaria, precisa e professionale ciò nondimeno già alla seconda telefonata ha instaurato un rapporto pari a una conoscenza e famigliarità di lunga data.

The apartment was beautiful inside and had fabulous views.

The apartment was brilliantly situated with easy access to the sea, the restaurants in the square and shops . The air conditioning was a life saver at night in the bedroom! The local people were friendly and very helpful . Valeria herself was very welcoming and helpful both before and during the visit . We would recommend this place wholeheartedly.

A very relaxing holiday in a great appartment

The no-smoking apartment is situated in a narrow street just off the Piazza Castello, which is the centre of the local community. A long flight of steep stone stairs lead up to the apartment which is pleasantly furnished and spacious. The pro’s far outweigh the con’s. It has all the fittings a holidaymaker could expect, including a very large and comfy bed, a well-appointed kitchen and a wide patio/balcony which offers plenty of room to relax, with a view across the harbour to Aci Trezza at the other end of the bay. The patio gets full sun from dawn until early afternoon, after which it provides a shady place to relax and enjoy the view and the cooling sea breezes. The front balcony is much smaller than the rear and overlooks Via Gugliemo Marconi, which is a relatively quiet street which leads from the harbour to Piazza Castello. The kitchen is compact but very usable, with a gas cooker, fridge freezer and all the usual utensils and crockery. The shower is very good, however a larger person might have trouble getting in an out as the door opening is limited. Wi-Fi is available, but it can be intermittent as the internet connection is via the local mobile phone network, as opposed to a dedicated broadband connection. Food and drink There are some very excellent restaurants in the vicinity of the apartment, particularly around Piazza Castello, most of which specialise in fish and seafood. Meat dishes are not so easy to find, with the possible exceptions of spaghetti carabonara and pizza diavola, but the standard of food is as exceptional as it is authentic. There are a couple of very intimate and pleasant wine bars, though not of the sort the average English city dweller would recognise. Sit outside and relax with a glass of the local wine for around Euro3 and don’t forget to bring a 1ltr plastic bottle to take some home with you. We found the best one was Cantina Palu, on Via Salvia. It is literally on a street corner and features large vats of local wine for filling the aforementioned plastic bottles, as well as the usual cocktails and spirits. It is very small but all the better for that. Right opposite is the restaurant Il Cortile Delle Fate (Courtyard of the Fairies), which is the best restaurant we’ve been to in Aci Castello.

Beautiful original Sicilian apartment.

The apartment was truly Sicilian with its furnishings and wonderful fresco. The host, Valeria , was lovely and went to great lenghs to make sure we were comfortable. The views from the balcony are stunning. Be sure to see a sunrise. Literally a stones throw from the piazza with a selection of friendly bars and restaurants. Very few touristswhich was lovely. You felt very much part of the community. Overall, a beautiful apartment with a lovely host in a part of the real Sicily.

Location Location Location

Fantastic apartment overlooking the sea in the centre of Aci Castello. The apartment has a lovely painted high ceiling spacious bedroom. A large sitting room, small kitchen and bathroom. But the terrace is where most of our time was spent as it overlooks the sea and castle - east facing so sun at breakfast. Valeria was very helpful and waited for us despite the fact we were quite late getting there (22:30). She had very thoughtfully left a few basic provisions for us bread, milk, marmalade etc and some beer! If you are planning to drive take a small car as parking is limited and the roads quite narrow. Walking on one of the paths up the side of Mount Etna was one of the highlights although choose your day as it can get both chilly and cloudy.

Great stylish appartment with fantastic views over the sea and the castle

We had a good time in Aci Castello and Sicily, although it was colder than expected and it took some time to get the rooms comfortably warm. But I believe this was an extraordinary situation, the week when Rome and Madrid suffered from heavy snow and Germany was freezing at -15 °C. The appartment was well equipped, nice interior as well, with paintings on the lofty ceilings. Valeria took good care of us with many good proposals for trips and sweet tangerines from her garden. Valeria's advice to book a small car was very helpful, the streets really are narrow (as is the staircase to the appartment) ! Thank you very much !

Eine schöne Woche Anfang November

Wir waren Anfang November eine Woche in der Wohnung. Das Wetter hatte zum Glück noch mit ca. 22 bis 23 Grad und relativ viel Sonne mitgespielt. Das Highlight ist die Terrasse bzw. Balkon, direkt über/am Meer mit herrlichen Blick bis zu den Zyklopen Felsen vor Aci Trezza, unterhalb keine Strasse, daher sehr ruhig, nur Meeresrauschen. Durch die Ostlage der Terrasse ist Anfang November ab ca. 12:00 Uhr die Sonne hinter dem Haus verschwunden. Wir haben jeden Morgen das Frühstück in der Sonne genossen. Die Küche ist relativ klein und ausreichend ausgestattet, keine Kaffeemaschine sondern ein kleiner Espressokocher. Bad/Toilette ist modern, der Zugang zur Dusche ist relativ schmal. Die beiden hohen Räume, Wohn- und Schlafzimmer, sind wirklich aussergewöhnlich, das Bett ist groß und trotz harter Matratze bequem. Die Klimaanlage ist im Schlafzimmer. Anzumerken ist, dass in der Wohnung durch die viele liebevolle Deko usw. recht wenig Abstellmöglichkeiten für die eigenen Sachen sind. Der Zugang zur im 1.Stock liegenden Wohnung ist über eine sehr schmale Treppe mit abzuschließender Zwischentür. Ein freier Parkplatz steht nicht zur Verfügung, es war aber zu unserer Zeit kein großes Problem in der Nähe einen zu finden. Valeria hat uns bei der Ankunft freundlich empfangen und eingewiesen und sich auch immer zwischendurch per whats app erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Karten und Prospekte sind reichlich vorhanden. Wir haben uns hier in der Woche sehr gut erholt und viele Ausflüge unternommen. Für uns ist die Wohnung vor allem wegen der wunderbaren Terrasse empfehlenswert.

Perfect stay with fantastic view

Perfect stay in small Aci Castello, appartement very homely designed with a lot of love for the small details. We got very well introduced in all possibilities to do sightseeing and enjoying Sicily. Indeed very good recommendations for tasty Sicilian food :). Communication with our host was from beginning to end perfect. And of course we will never forget the wonderful view from the balcony. Superb apartment with wonderful views

We were met at the apartment by Valeria who was extremely kind and welcoming taking the time to show us around the property and providing details of places to see, where to shop, eat and other very useful information. She provided a first class service and was available by phone or email throughout our stay. From the moment we entered the apartment we were delighted, the standard throughout was superb with the delicately restored fresco ceilings, beautiful mosaic tiled floors and thoughtful attentiveness given to furnishings. The kitchen was well equipped and kindly stocked with various basic necessities together with some delightful extras! A mention must also be made to the very kind and friendly neighbour who provided us with a generous gift of sea food and also made us very welcome, inviting us for a swim by the castle with her friends. We spent many hours and ate all our meals on the large terrace overlooking the sea and castle just watching the fishing boats, people enjoying sea activities and taking in the spectacular views of the Cyclop Islands. The entire apartment and surrounding area is quiet and private providing the perfect location for a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you again Valeria for sharing with us your beautiful island of Sicily.

Beautiful apartment, relaxing vacation

Thank you for making our stay in Aci Castello so special. The apartment was very peaceful and quiet. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening and the fireworks at night from Aci Trezza Some days were very hot , but the air conditioning in the bedroom made us comfortable. The fresh bread, fruit and supplies in the kitchen were a nice touch. Valeria, you think of everything.

Ein wundervoller Ausblick!

Das Appartment ist ein wirkliches Schmuckstück! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und den Aufenthalt in dem beschaulichen Ort Acicastello sehr genossen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und bietet viele Urlaubsinformationen an. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Unique place to stay

Aci Castello: Calm little fishing-village with a historic fortress and a nice public square next to the sea. Good infrastructure for the supply of groceries, dayly needs, bars and restaurants. Rocky sea-access and pleasant swimming-conditions. The appartment: Located next to the fortress with a splended terrace immediately overviewing the bay. Just beeing there, taking a fresh breeze, listening to the relaxing sound of the seawaves, seeing both, the sun and the moon rising is a pure pleasure. Inside two spacious rooms, completely equipped kitchen, high-graded sanitary outfit. The whole appartment is affectunately decorated with various fine details. Especially the high ceilings are elaborately designed with paintings that make the interior so distinctive and precious. For the sake of completeness is to mention that the appartment was clean and the equipment was fully functioning. Helpful information is provided by the owner not only for the stay at the appartment but also recommendation for touristic activities. The host: As outstanding as the presentations of the appartment is the hospitality of its owner. She offers a warm welcome and cares about the needs of her guests with generosity and diligence. beautiful flat in fantastic location. 5 stars

We stayed in The Suite Under the Castle for two weeks at the beginning of September 2014. The journey was complicated and we never arrived at the time planned . Although this caused much concern to both ourselves and Valeria we couldn't have been happier as Valerie was really understanding and helpful also the flat was so well equipped we did not want for anything. It is a really spectacular flat that you won't appreciate until you see it. It is very centrally located in. The beautiful town of Aci Costello with everything on the doorstep. We did not want for anything and Valeria was on hand when we needed her. It is by far the best home we have stayed in and we have stayed in a few in Sicily. A real home from home - we will definaltely be back. Grazie molto Valeria per la tua gentilezza. Diane and Eddie
