This cabin is lovely, cozy, and has everything you need for a stay. The back yard is beautiful for sitting, enjoying the mountains, barbecuing, and has a great fire pit. It is also close to town, so you can walk if you like.
Sweet cabin at the end of river rd right next to Truckee River Park and a 2min walk to town. Even though there are lots of restaurants across the river we decided to BBQ and make our own meals at the cabin - everything required is there except the food. Took lots of walks along the river with our pup and just felt really comfortable and relaxed at the cabin. It's perfect for a couple with a pooch or 4 total. The owner was responsive and in early May we pretty much had the street to ourselves and it was 75deg. Perfect long weekend getaway and at the end we wished we had booked an extra day or two.
This Cabin has great atmosphere and nice little touches for certain. We brought our dog and there are dog trails all around this property and itâs very close to town. Thereâs a bridge nearby to cross the River and you are close to some of the best cinnamon rolls ever at Cornerstone Bakery. Though get there early they go fast. No need to DoorDash here.
Had car trouble so only made one night of our reservation but cabin was great. Clean, cozy, very comfy bed. Walked to town for dinner - very convenient. Wish we had more time there!
Location, location, location, clean and cute, well maintained and no complicated appliances or heating systems! Walking out the door to trails and nearby bakery was great!
The pictures are real. We loved it! This cozy cabin is walking distance to downtown Truckee, (if its not 8 degrees), and its easy to drive to. There's plenty of room for two adults and two kids. (Might be tight for four adults.) Great walking close by. Mitch, the host, is a joy to work with. Super easy! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Cozy little cabin that was warm and clean. Perfect location. Walking trails right out the front door and beautiful downtown Truckee within walking distance.
The cabin is very cozy and perfect for a small family. The location is ideal with walking access to central Truckee as well as walking trails along the Truckee River. The cabin is very well stocked and the bedding is very comfortable and our dog was very welcomed. Mitch was proactive in communication of pertinent details of the stay and very responsive when I reached out to hi with information and questions. We would definitely stay at this cabin on a future visit to Truckee.
Perfect for family of three. Highlights: cozy gas fireplace in living room, full kitchen, very comfortable bedding, well cared for grounds (i.e. perfect snow removal), and great communication!
My husband and I loved staying at this cabin. Wonderful location with walking distance to the shops and little restaurants/ coffee shops. Bed is super comfy. Very close to palisade so perfect for our ski weekend. We had such a lovely time.
The only negative was that the refrigerator was smelly so hopefully that can be fixed before the next guest.
All in all, it was wonderful and we hope to stay again!
This was our second time at the cabin -- the location is great! We enjoyed the 'wood' stove, and the bed is very comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!
Mitch has thought of everything. The property has everything you need and is walking distance to downtown Truckee and all it has to offer. Great walking trails for people and dogs are right outside your door. We are a family of 4 with a very big teenager and a dog . It worked out great.
This cabin provides the best amenities and location to old town truckee. Easy to get to local resorts either with driving or by using local transportation. Enjoy!
While the house is small, it never felt cramped with 4 of us. It has been nicely designed, looks clean and modern, with a great shower. And, even though it snowed continuously for 2 days, the walkway was cleared of snow daily, or more.
I have my own Real Estate & Construction companies here now for over 30 years, grew up on Long Island as landscaper and was pulled to the west coast by some unknown calling. I later found out that calling is Squaw Valley! I love Truckee, Tahoe and everything about this place.
