My family and I have been coming to St. Barths for 7 years. Each time we rent a differnet villa to try a differnet part of the island. Whalhalla is our favorite!! We hope to come back very soon.
Michael is an awesome host. He was great and helped us tremendously at our arrival. The property is very unique and provides great space for a big family. The views and privacy of the location is outstanding. All rooms, bathrooms and living room are clean and spacious. The only room which is a little outdated is the kitchen but this is also because it is outside, which is pretty cool.
We had a fabulous two week stay at Walhalla in January, 2019! The breathtaking view, the quiet, elegant neighborhood and the simple yet comfortable house made for a truly luxurious getaway! The owner, Michael, was charming and attentive. There is nothing we would change about it and plan to come back...hopefully sooner rather than later!
Micheal is a wonderful human being, he's gone way above and beyond to help us to change the dates during the most busiest time (Christmas and New years).
Everyone loved the villa, location and the view is magical.
The villa is situated in a quiet residential area but around10 min drive to anywhere in the island, and to all beach clubs and restaurant.
Highly recommended, We will surely come back again.
Thank you so much for being a wonderful host.
Majestic location perched high on secluded Pointe Milou, with incredible ocean views and beautiful cooling trade winds. Very comfortable beds, open air kitchen and sitting area; casual and immediately relaxing. Short hop to grocery, bakery, incredible restaurants, secluded beaches and 15mins to airport or Gustavia. Perfect for the six of us, could have easily worked for eight. Would suggest some minor repairs, paint, and fixup; but the owner was always available and incredibly accommodating. We had a totally enjoyable week on an AMAZING island paradise!
Michael's house, a perfect base for a vacationing family, is a lovely mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. We enjoyed sitting in the back overlooking green hills, cliffs, and St Barth's deep blue waters; cooking meals using the well-stocked kitchen and grill; cocktails out on the gazebo; and seeking refuge from the occasional rainstorm with a book or laptop in the comfortable living room. Michael was a wonderful host; while we did not meet him in person, he was a tremendous help before our arrival in making sure we had everything we needed while on the island, and arranging someone to meet us at the ferry. In 7 days we explored 7 different beaches, all within easy driving distance of the house (don't miss lunch on the beach at Le Toiny, the hike to Colombier, and the beach at Saline). Especially convenient to the house are La Petite Colombe Bakery for pastries in the morning and the underrated Lorient Beach.
The view is totally amazing and made this stay 100% worthwhile.
There were a few full disclosure items that you need to be aware of going in though.
1) two of the rooms are like separate apartments that are accessed from the outside and not connected to the living room. This is a little weird at first, but not a deal breaker.
2) none of the bedrooms have a tv. Only the living room has a tv.
3) the listing states that the house is 7,000 sqft. It is nowhere near 7,000 sqft. Not sure where that came from.
4) Wi-Fi only works in the living room and two bedrooms connected to the living room. The fourth room went unused because the Wi-Fi didnât work there. My son opted to sleep on the couch in the living room as that is where the router is and the only tv on property.
5) the kitchen is outside, but covered. This is okay and kind of quaint, but the appliances are a little worse for ware due to being in the elements.
6) the pool is much smaller than it appears in the pictures and it is not heated.
7) the owner didnât respond timely or to all questions.
8) you can walk to Le Ti and to Hotel Christopher, but I only reccomend the walk to Le Ti. Hotel Christopher was very challenging to return from due to hills/distance.
Once again - all of these items are manageable and the view makes it all worth while. The price is fair, but you realize why it is priced as it is once you get there.
We normally stay in hotels but when choosing St Barth for our Christmas trip, we were told that we needed to stay in a Villa because of how the Island is set up. It made us very nervous to try VRBO for such a big trip because you never know what you are getting into until you get to your destination. We chose this Villa because of all the great reviews and the pictures looked stunning! Let me be very clear... staying at this Villa and visiting St Barth did NOT disappoint in any area of our stay!! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! Alexandria, our sweet house keeper, met us at the small airport and actually helped us drive all of our luggage to our Villa. We rented a Jeep but also being Americans, we packed wayyy too much!! :). We followed her to the Villa and was absolutely overwhelmed by how beautiful it was when we arrived! The view is stunning for one, but the Villa is it self was extremely clean and so very precious. You walk into an open air court yard concept with a sitting area and the small open air kitchen. 2 bedrooms are off by themselves a little bit with their own locked door entrance, the Master is attached to the living area and the 4th bedroom does have its own locked entrance but is also attached to the other side of the master bed room which is great for keeping an eye on smaller children. The pool, back deck and view are exactly what the pictures show, STUNNING!! It was breezing every day so we actually spent 2 full days enjoying the back area and laying out because we just wanted to rest and why not, it was like we were on our own private island it was so quiet and peaceful the whole 8 days. Michael, the owner was out of town while were were there So we never got to meet him but Alexandria was there every day to clean the Villa, (including fresh linen and towels) and was extremely helpful with anything that was needed. We requested a couple extra blankets and asked by chance if there was a cooler on property and with in an hour, both were at the Villa for us. One of the days, the water pressure all of a sudden got low on the same day we realized the TV wasnât working right, we texted Michael and the water was fixed and a gentleman with a brand new TV was at the house to set it up for us in an hour from our text to him. It was beyond our expectations with how we were taken care of by Michael and Alexandria during our stay! Absolutely recommend this Villa and St Barth was amazing as welll!!
Magnificent view and property. Ideal villa for larger groups with four spacious rooms equipped with separate bathrooms and a pool in between creates privacy as well as common area to hang out. Views from the deck are simply spectacular. Really great choice. Host is super attentive to all needs and details; great communication.
Villa Walhalla was amazing in every way. We traveled with my parents and my children so ages ranged from 5 to 75. The villa is large and nicely spread out - we loved being all together but also having our own space. The views are breathtaking and the villa is well decorated. There are 3 king size beds which was also a nice perk and a rarity. The villa was so well appointed. It had everything you need to have meals at home , hair dryers for each room, and beach equipment. The owner also thoughtfully included plenty of travel adapters in each room so that our own appliances from home could function. The support team was incredible - daily cleaning service and frequent pool cleaning throughout the week. Michaelâs team was so accommodating, from picking us up at the airport to printing out covid forms. Finally, The Point Milou location canât be beat with convenient proximity to all the major beaches as well as nightlife in Gustavia. We all enjoyed our stay at Villa Walhalla and give it our highest recommendations!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we never got tired of the view. The actual layout of the house is good for a group. The living room and pool area were perfect for socializing and the en-suite bedrooms afforded privacy. All rooms very spacious, well decorated and very comfortable beds. A positive experience
Great view, exactly as pictured. Loved the location. Loved having a cleaning lady come in daily, that was a nice treat. Only drawback, and it was minimal, was the kitchen being outdoor was a bit awkward and no overhead/ wall lighting in the bathrooms made it a little dark to shower/dress in the evenings.
We had a lovely time over Christmas vacation with our family. The location was beautiful with breathtaking views. - convenient to The Christopher and the market and beaches. The set up of the villa was great for our family. Each of our three kids had their own rooms. We didnât realize it was an outdoor kitchen when we booked but we ended up loving it and it worked out nicely. Thereâs tons of space for everyone to find their own area as well. We ended up lounging at the villa a couple days for the whole day because of the views and nice breeze. Overall a great trip! We would certainly visit again!
This property was amazing. Old world charm with amazing views. Michael the owner was always available to help with any issues. And Alexandrina the housekeeper was terrific I highly recommend this villa. Massages on the deck at dusk cannot be beat. And easy location no crazy hills to drive. And an easy walk to the Christopher for sunset.
Large and lovely classic style St Barths Villa perched on a hill with sweeping views of La Tortue, Marigot Bay and Gran Cul De Sac. Lots of space in the bedrooms with en suite baths. The breezes were great to keep things cool and the mosquitos away. Indoor outdoor living the way it should be. Michael was a great host and very responsive with requests. It was a great escape from NY and Covid19. The island felt safe and follow similar safety measures as home. The set-up of indoor/outdoor living in St Barths in general is the perfect and safe way to spend a holiday in 2020.
Booked it for our annual6-person couples trip and could not have been more impressed and happy with these accomodations. Absolutely STUNNING views from the moment you walk in the gate. had everything we needed and really loved St Barth's.
My name is Michael Parisot. I was born in France near Switzerland in the mountains. I lived there during my childhood. My Grandfather bought a house in Saint Barth 40 years ago. So I came there for holidays and I felt in love with this wonderful island. So when I was 23 years old, I move here, in St Barts to work as a pianist.
