Moderne et hip maison sur une colline avec vue imprenable sur les montagnes de Santa Monica. Great place pour divertir, tant Ă  l'intĂ©rieur et Ă  l'extĂ©rieur. On se sent comme vous ĂȘtes sur un havre de paix.
Un acre de terrain, branchements RV, les animaux de compagnie, Dwell style moderne, conviviale et familiale, grande cour fermée. BBQ avec belle terrasse avant tout mis en place pour manger en plein air.
3 chambres, 2 salle de bain maison dans un quartier rĂ©sidentiel calme. Salle de bain principale dispose d'un jacuzzi Ă  cĂŽtĂ© d'un spa comme une douche Ă  vapeur de deux personnes. Douche extĂ©rieure avec une intimitĂ© totale. En retrait d'un cul de sac. 25 minutes de la plage de Malibu, Ă  45 minutes Ă  LAX. Une heure et demie de Disneyland, Ă  45 minutes de Santa Barbara. 20 minutes Ă  Camarillo Outlet Mall. Horse ranch avec des chevaux Ă  louer Ă  5 minutes de la maison, beau parc d'État de randonnĂ©e et pistes cyclables Ă  cinq minutes de la maison. The house and property offered an excellent experience. The interior was exactly as shown in the pictures—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for family gatherings. Each room was tastefully decorated, and the restrooms were spotless and well maintained.The play area was an ideal spot to relax and unwind while taking in the beautiful outdoor views. The outdoor space itself was expansive, inviting guests to explore and enjoy the natural surroundings. A few tall pine trees and thoughtfully placed chairs create the perfect setting to soak in the serene and scenic landscape.As the seasons shift toward fall and winter, this home remains a wonderful retreat—where you can enjoy both the cozy indoors and the mild Southern California winter weather outdoors. The drive from Los Angeles is well worth it for anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the city and a refreshing connection with nature.

The home was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we really liked the location. The guest book provided very clear instructions for checkout and how to use various items in the house. We really enjoyed our stay.

I was in need of a rental home for 3 weeks. I could not have found a better home and host than right here. The communication was stellar throughout. The house has an incredible sense of remote rustic feel while being very close to Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, etc. I loved the ease of commute to LA where I was needed on business a few times. The back patio in mornings and evenings, the open air vibe with the sliding doors open in the cool CA air - all create an amazing atmosphere. I love to cook - the kitchen is fantastic, as is the grill out back. I highly recommend this home and would return and rent it again.

This is the 2nd year we’ve stayed here and we loved it every bit as we did last year! It has everything you would ever need and great for young kids. My 3 year old grandson spent many hours playing in the back area which had a sandy area to play with the toys that are there for them! The back patio is an oasis of foliage and flowers and a magnificent view. Looking forward to coming again next year!!

Fire Pit with Terrific View

The living spaces were much larger than I expected. The best part was the adorable little patio with a big fire pit and a fabulous view. And it was so peaceful!! Would have been nice to have some sort of closet or at least a hanger in one of the small bedrooms. Terrific kitchen with everything we could ever want. We had guests over and had no problem with fitting 18.

Great get away! Very quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed, from kitchenware to towels and linens, felt like a home away from home. Enjoyed cooking and bbqing for the family, and loved the option of outdoor or indoor seating for all 7 of us! The property was perfect with lots of different outdoor spaces to enjoy. Truly a retreat!

Came to Cali from Michigan for our 1st borns wedding. We have a family of 6 and the space was ideal. Location to venue was perfect. Loved the layout of the home. We actually had the rehearsal dinner catered in at the house due to the layout and outdoor areas.

Absolutely Awesome!

We’ve booked many rental homes with our family and Modern Rustic Retreat was one of the very best we’ve experienced. The home had stunning vistas and multiple conversation areas. It had a well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the neighborhood, the nice neighbors, and lots of hiking trails in walking distance. We would highly recommend it.

Amazing Experience

This place was just perfect for us. We were in town for a wedding and there was more than enough room for us to relax and get ready. Just wish we had booked a few extra days to enjoy the house and the views!

Great stay!

I can honestly say this is probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many! It was clean, comfortable and so well stocked! You didn’t want for anything! It has a great backyard and a huge sandpit for kids to play, also well stocked with toys. My grandson loved it there! We will definitely book again!

Great view!

Amazing place. The pics are a little outdated, there is no grass anymore (for dog owners, so we took our dog to the local park to play) and there is an amazing glass wall view of the mountainside, which is way better than the photos represent. Feels like indoor/outdoor living. Good large kitchen. The chairs outside are comfy. Inside there is lots of seating but it’s all stuff you wouldn’t want to sit on for long. Space can support a good amount of people. Overall a terrific home and place to relax.

Private retreat with views & lovely landscaping

Great spot to stay in Thousand Oaks. The back yard is beautiful & comfortable. Was perfect for our family & dogs. Beautiful views and a lovely sunny family room. Nice SoCal indoor outdoor living.

My wife Hollie, two daughters Sydney and Maxine, Sandy (our yellow lab) horse name Ned and Roger our barn cat. We (only the humans) travel a lot between our houses in Portland Or. and Thousand Oaks, Ca. We are both entrepreneurs, Hollie a Communication consultant and I am architectural designer We homeschooled our children till there were 8 and 10 and considered it a privilege with to have them in our lives all the time. Now they both attend a local private school. We also co-founded and oversaw an outreach to the homeless and those in transition in the Santa Monica and Malibu area for the last 15 years (www.sosmalibu.org). As a family we love adventure and life. Snow skiing almost weekly during the winter between Mt. Hood, Or. and Snow Valley,Utah. Mountain biking in the Santa Monica mountains and Bend, Or. I am an avid marathon runner, trail runner, and hiker. We love food from all parts of the world and get to experience it often when we are in Portland visiting the famous food carts.

Though the neighborhood is an older subdivision of small homes and lots, our ONE ACRE property sits atop of a hill above a cul de sac with stunning views. There are no houses behind us that give total privacy for the outdoor shower. Every afternoon we get breezes from the coast that is only 8 miles away

Great entertaining space. The 12' wide bi-folding doors open up to the front patio with features a 12' long table for large gathers, fire pit, bbq. and hammock overlooking the Santa Monica mountains. Equipped with outdoors speakers that can be hook up your laptop or smartphone for music listening.
