Vue spectaculaire sur la riviĂšre dans une charmante maison de campagne

C'est notre "maison loin de chez nous" et c'est un lieu de vacances non-fumeur / sans vapotage. Initialement achetĂ© par Dick et Carol Crabill (mes beaux-parents), nous avons adorĂ© passer du temps de qualitĂ© en famille ici pendant que nos enfants grandissaient. Vous pouvez pĂȘcher ou jouer au golf Ă  proximitĂ©, ou faire du ski / snowboard Ă  environ une heure de ce bel endroit du pays. Si vous recherchez le confort et le charme dans un cadre paisible et serein, vous le trouverez dans cette maison de 3 chambres et 2 salles de bain avec une grande grande salle pouvant accueillir jusqu'Ă  12 personnes. De belles piĂšces de la campagne peuvent ĂȘtre vues de chaque piĂšce de la maison. Les lits comprennent un lit King Cal, un lit Queen et 2 lits jumeaux dans les chambres. Un divan-lit en cuir pleine grandeur se trouve dans le salon avec un canapĂ© en cuir supplĂ©mentaire avec 2 chaises inclinables Ă  chaque extrĂ©mitĂ© du canapĂ©. Un grand canapĂ©-lit et un grand canapĂ©-lit sont dans la grande salle. L'accĂšs Ă  Internet est disponible dans toute la maison via un rĂ©seau Wifi. Un ordinateur et une imprimante sont installĂ©s dans la Grande Salle aux cĂŽtĂ©s d'un magnifique petit piano Ă  queue. Une cuisine complĂšte est complĂšte avec un lave-vaisselle et tout ce dont vous avez besoin (ustensiles de cuisine, vaisselle, argenterie, et un approvisionnement en cafĂ©, thĂ©, chocolat chaud, farine, sucre, assaisonnements et quelques extras). Il y a un gril intĂ©rieur dans la cuisine ou vous pouvez utiliser le barbecue au propane Ă  l'extĂ©rieur sur le patio. Bien que nous n'ayons pas de service de tĂ©lĂ©vision, une grande sĂ©lection de vidĂ©os et de DVD sont disponibles pour tous les Ăąges Ă  visionner sur le grand tĂ©lĂ©viseur HD du salon ou sur 3 autres tĂ©lĂ©viseurs situĂ©s dans toute la maison. The Great Room dispose d'une XBox et d'une Nintendo 64 avec une sĂ©lection de jeux pour enfants. Nous avons Ă©galement une variĂ©tĂ© de jeux de sociĂ©tĂ© et de cartes dans la grande salle, ainsi qu'une vieille table de ping-pong dans le garage. Deux ensembles de clubs de golf sont disponibles Ă  utiliser sur le parcours de golf Ă  proximitĂ©. La buanderie intĂ©rieure a une laveuse et une sĂ©cheuse de grande capacitĂ©. Du bois de chauffage est fourni pour le poĂȘle Ă  bois dans le salon. Une table de patio avec des chaises et un planeur Ă  2 places sont situĂ©es sur le pont arriĂšre donnant sur la vaste campagne et la vue imprenable sur la riviĂšre. (Cependant, la table et les chaises de patio sont rangĂ©es pendant l'hiver.) Les restaurants et les Ă©piceries sont Ă  10 minutes en voiture. Ceci est une grande retraite «escapade» sur 3 hectares, nichĂ© loin de la route principale sur une route de campagne, et beaucoup de stationnement est fourni sur la longue allĂ©e. La maison est proche d'un parcours de golf 18 trous Ă  Fall River Mills et de nombreuses activitĂ©s de pĂȘche Ă  proximitĂ© en Ă©tĂ©. Mt. Shasta est Ă  60 minutes en voiture pour le ski et le snowboard d'hiver. Il s'agit strictement d'une location non-fumeur et est la maison de vacances idĂ©ale Ă  tout moment de l'annĂ©e!

Perfect venue

I rented this house for my daughter and her friends for a bachelorette weekend. It was a great spot! Very clean and well appointed with beautiful views! I would highly recommend for any group coming into the Fall River Valley to recreate or just relax.

Perfect Place to watch the Perseid meteor shower

Way out away from city lights with a nice lawn to lay out on, not to mention comfy beds to sleep in and well-equipped kitchen, etc. I only wish we had a piano player to play the baby grand in the Great Room. Pleasant deck with a bucolic view for enjoying wine time.

One of the Best !

This is a great property. My family and friends often rent vacation properties and this is one of the best we have stayed at. The house has everything that you could need or want and it is immaculately clean. Plenty of room for you and your friends or family. Close to all the activities in the valley. The patio and yard are a great bonus and the views are spectacular. The view from the master bedroom is especially wonderful. Working with the owner and manager was easy and very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again. In fact I am looking forward to our next visit.

Situated in a quiet location with beautiful views over Pit River, the house comfortable catered for 10 of us. The owner, Jayne, couldn't do enough for us and it was appreciated receiving an e-mail from her after a few days to check if everything was satisfactory, which it more than was! Kelly, a neighbour and property manager, who lived next door kept an eye out but a very discreet 'distance' but comforting to know that if we weren't sure of anything she was available. All in all we loved our visit and the accommodation, which has special emotional ties to the owner given the family history. Loved it.

So comfortable, and the views!!!

This home provides terrific views 24/7, complete comfort, and a floor plan that serves an extended family stay very well. There are entertainment resources for all ages, including DVD's, music, games, and a baby grand! The kitchen is equipped for any meal you want to prepare, with plenty of storage for whatever food you bring. I can't wait to return in warmer weather to enjoy the patio. The owner provides extensive information about the house and the area. She is quick to respond to emails. We were a little high maintenance with last minute requests to changes arrival and departure dates, and she was pleasantly accommodating. The property manager is available for any issues that may arise and is a pleasure to meet. The telescope was a fun surprise and my husband enjoyed using it. We visit family in the area as often as possible, and this home will be a first choice in the future.

Family Gathering

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 day family gathering. The place was warm, homey, and very comfortable. Beautiful setting. Amazing views off the deck. Woke up to 7 deer outside the kitchen window each morning. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked and set up nicely. Took some nice day trips hiking around Lassen and to Burney Falls - definitely a must! We would absolutely visit this place again. Lovely host.

Family Time

We really enjoyed Crabill Cottage as a home away from home. The experience was similar to visiting friends or family with everything we needed to cook, keep entertained and be comfortable. We will definitely want to stay here when visiting the valley in the future. Thank you Jayne for being so easy to reach out to and for checking in on us to see how our trip was going. Best rental we've ever had.

We've now stayed in 6 or 7 vacation rentals now, and this was by far the best organized and best stocked house we've ever stayed in. Everything from laundry supplies to extra toothpaste and Toilet paper. The owner thought of everything we might possibly need. The kitchen is super organized, with everything you might need, even if you want to bake. This house is so comfortable and lovingly decorated , it made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We will definitely stay here every time we come to visit my daughter.

THE PERFECT PLACE TO STAY FOR A COUPLE OR FAMILIES!

Our home-away-from-home was exactly that - all we needed was to bring was our food and clothes! We felt like we were staying in our favorite Aunt's home. Every single room in this large, comfortable home had anything we could have possibly needed, and then some! The kitchen and pantry are well stocked with literally everything you need to make and serve your meals; the bathrooms have all the toiletries you could possibly need, and THE MOST LUXURIOUS TOWELS ever! Fun and whimsically decorated bedrooms, very comfortable beds. 5 awesome TVs with tons of DVDs and game stations. The view from the cozy patio is peaceful and beautiful. While located in the countryside, it's very close to surrounding towns. The property managers couldn't be more friendly and helpful. This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years!

Beautiful Home to Stay in

Jayne's property was amazing to stay in with my family. The house is carefully furnished and decorated with a feeling that it's been established for a long time. The communication between Jayne and everyone was great before the stay as well as during the stay. Her place also has everything you need to cook a full meal for everyone as well. We were extremely impressed with Jayne's property.

Wonderful, cozy home - exactly as depicted in photos and descriptions

We enjoyed our stay in the Crabill Country Cottage immensely. We were greeted by the property manager, Kelly, shortly after arriving. Jayne, the owner, had arranged for a lovely fruit bowl, which we all enjoyed sampling - particularly our 13 year old, who loved the kiwis. This home was cozy and delightful, with plenty of room for all of us and the granddaughter and family who joined us for fun and games one evening. We all loved sitting on the deck, especially in the early morning and evening. The view is spectacular, as advertised!! We watched deer in the fields, and counted many new birds for our birding list, including an amazing Golden eagle that swept the fields below us morning and evening, stopping to sit on his high-line roost for us to view him through the telescope. Our two teenage grandsons enjoyed the collection of movies and separate viewing area, so they could enjoy their time without grown-ups. As for us, the peace and quiet on the deck and being totally unplugged for our stay was the best respite we could imagine. We fished the Fall River and Hat Creek with guides from Clearwater Lodge, we experienced Burney Falls, which is breathtaking, and we spent an afternoon driving to Mt. Shasta for dinner and another day driving to the summit of Mt. Lassen for exploring and a picnic. With our granddaughter and her family residing nearby in Burney, we will definitely be looking forward to our next visit to Crabill Lane. Hidden Treasure

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay - wonderful accommodations, land and views. This area of CA is truly a hidden treasure, so close to Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen and Burney Falls. The five of us had plenty of room to spread out and cook wonderful meals in the well-appointed kitchen. We also enjoyed local hospitality while participating in the Fall River Century, a truly lovely bike ride. We plan to come back!

Perfect getaway

We were two families who rented out this amazing property for 3 nights during the memorial day weekend. We were seeking an escape from our crazy busy lives and this small town with a population of 300 odd people looked like the perfect place to get away from it all. And boy did we make the best decision ever. The house was perfect for all our needs. Apart from having all the amenities we could ever ask for, the house itself excludes a certain warmth that makes you feel welcome. The artwork in and around the house that were created by the actual people who lived there gives that extra bit of personality to the house which I have rarely seen elsewhere. The south facing deck with the un-interrutped and expansive views of the river, the fields, the snow capped Lassen peak and other mountains is indeed a visual spectacle. My wife and I both agreed that this view bettered the ocean facing homes that had until then been our favorite vacation rentals. Apart from the sounds of the birds, some water fowls and occasional deers there is nothing to disturb your peace and privacy. At night the sky lights up with a million stars. Using the sky guide app on my iphone, my wife and I spent a long time identifying stars, formations and and the milk way. We even saw two shooting stars. There is very little light pollution, so the sky is amazing to look at during the night. We spent one day at Lassen, an hour's drive away and 1 day at Lava Beds National monument which takes an hour and half. Lava Beds really is a hidden gem. It is a small park with very few visitors, but so much to offer. We spend a whole day exploring the caves there. Kelly, the property manager lives in the only other house in that neighborhood. She was the most kind and warm lady. Knowing how much it would mean to the kids, she invited us over to spend some fun time with her 2 horses and dogs. For the kids, this became the highlight of the trip. Getting to feed the horses, even mount them, that was super exciting for them and must admit it was a lot of fun for us adults too. A word of thanks to Jayne the owner who left no stone unturned in making sure we had all the information we needed about the house and where to find things, how to operate equipments etc. This level of detail I have rarely found in other vacation rental owners. So thanks a lot for that.

A serene haven with an exceptional view.

My wife, two of my children and I stayed for three nights in the house in McArthur, and I have no hesitation in writing that our stay was absolutely perfect. We all needed to unwind for various and different reasons, and my wife and I very much enjoyed sitting mornings and evenings on the porch with the expansive view of the river, the fields beyond and the volcanos of the Cascade mountains in the distance. We enjoyed quietly watching the wildlife come and go around the river, and this included families of California quail, a resident blue heron, a great egret, an American bittern, and many mule deer, including a doe with twin fawns. Our two teenage children very much enjoyed quiet but lighthearted games of horseshoe pitch, and both were also delighted by the “classic” video games in the great room. My daughter, on discovering the Nintendo 64, stated with wide-eyed enthusiasm “I’ve never even seen one before!”. During the days we drove to Lassen Volcanic National Park, which is only an hour away, and a very easy drive. At night we all enjoyed stargazing at the milky-way and looking for various familiar stars and constellations. A friendly pair of horses in the field adjacent to the house greet visitors with enthusiasm, especially if they have carrots or apples, and the manager Kelly provided a warm welcome without being intrusive. The house has an old world charm and is stocked with small treats and extras designed to make the guest feel welcome. Our only regret was that our stay was not longer. As a family, we typically rent two houses a year for short breaks in both summer and winter, and we count ourselves as veteran house renters. All of us agree that this was the best rental property ever. We all felt very much at home in this beautiful house, and if you want to relax and unwind then this house may be for you.

So Fun FAMILY time

Travelling with our adult children - this was a perfect 3-night stop! We were able to connect with our son thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. When the owner first mentioned ping-pong, horseshoes, etc. I kind of thought..."eh maybe". But we thoroughly enjoyed all those family fun things that you never do anymore. The house was very clean and we never said "oh, I wish they had a..." because they had everything! We spent the majority of our time on the deck and in the yard with sweeping views of the countryside. Peaceful morning coffee to evening grilling. It feels like you're in total privacy - yet the manager is a stone's throw away if needed. The owner provides thorough information of local businesses and attractions and is very pleasant to work with. We just really enjoyed our time here!

The beautiful views surrounding the home are amazing. The river behind the house, mountains in the background, and country landscape all around help make it the perfect place for relaxation and rejuvenation. You will feel secluded and private on our property.

Our property is a few minutes (4 miles) from the McArthur fairgrounds and 30 minutes from spectacular Burney Falls.
