We had such a wonderful time at this amazing property with hiking trails and river access. We traveled with our 16 year old dog and she loved basking on the front porch. It was comfortable and peaceful. Carmen is an amazing host.

My husband & I stayed at this quaint cabin & enjoyed the peace & quiet. Our favorite thing was the front porch where we spent time just relaxing, enjoying the scenery of the yard & mountains, & watching the various birds coming to the feeder. One evening, we just sat there until after dark listening to the night sounds of birds & the river flowing in the distance. So very peaceful which is what we needed.

We were enchanted by this charming little cottage with the big porch overlooking the mountains.. The birds who visited every day to feed were a special treat. Our little dog was made welcome by our kind hostess, as were we. Carman filled us in on best places to dine and nearby waterfalls. The cottage is small but perfectly appointed and comfortable for the two of us. We especially appreciated the great coffee! Can’t wait to visit again!

The cottage was beautiful as well as the surrounding nature. It was super clean and filled with everything you could possibly need. Carmen, the owner, was extremely nice and was there for any questions we may have. We got to meet Carmen before we left and got to walk through her amazing garden. We can’t wait to stay there again, it is a gem of a place.

This cottage is precious. We loved our stay here. Carmen and Jim are wonderful hosts. The waterfall, fireflies by the river, and front porch were wonderful. Very clean and well stocked. We look forward to another visit in the future.

We could not have had a more perfect stay. The cottage has everything you could want and more. It’s filled with beautiful personal touches and endless charm. The view and surround property are spectacular. Carman is a wonderful host. She is very thoughtful and responsive. She has gone above and beyond to provide helpful and local information. We are already looking for a date to return.

Carman’s cottage is an incredible refuge from everyday life or city life- and is a wonderful, peaceful stay. She is a consummate host with years of experience and knows how to make you feel more than a client. The porch- the amazingly equipped space for cooking- laundry or just lolling about - are all fantastic . The location is perfect if you want to chill- eat out- hike- shop- get fresh produce- play golf- whatever. It’s small but cozy.

This place is hands down the best place we have ever stayed! Carmen and Jim thought of everything. The binder with all the local restaurants and things to do was perfect. The porch? THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD! I cannot say enough good about this place, just book it! You won’t regret it. Our pups absolutely loved it too.

Our favorite VRBO cottage! This is simply the perfect cottage with beautiful mountain views from the large front porch. A few minutes walk on a trail to waterfalls with a swing to sit and enjoy all in a gorgeous forest. A few minutes walk to a gorgeous river with a place to sit. The cottage is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped for any cooking you may do. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding is top notch. It was extremely clean and very well thought out. Our host was hands down the best VRBO host we have ever encountered. Flower and cookies greeted us and a book full of things to do also excellent communication. We checked out Black Rock Mountain for stunning views, Mud Creek Falls is a spectacular waterfall you can drive to, and the Highlands are filled with beautiful views. I would absolutely recommend for someone who wants a beautiful, cozy, and beauty filled vacation among the mountains.
