The cottage is situated on the spacious property of the German-speaking owners. Next to the main house is a small woodworking shop where many of the beautiful wooden furnishings have been handcrafted. Although the owners live nearby, you'll enjoy your privacy while benefiting from their warm hospitality and local knowledge whenever you need recommendations or assistance.

The holiday home offers approximately 54 m² of living space and comfortably accommodates up to six guests. Inside you'll find an open-plan living and dining area with a large handcrafted Swiss pine dining table and rustic wooden benches, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and everything needed for a comfortable self-catering holiday.

The living area features a cosy wood-burning stove, perfect for cooler evenings, as well as a TV with German channels and high-speed fibre-optic internet.

The spacious sleeping area offers a large sofa bed accommodating up to four guests, while a rustic bunk bed provides additional sleeping space. A ladder leads to the charming sleeping loft with further beds, making Fjällstugan an excellent choice for families or small groups.

The modern bathroom includes a shower and toilet. Directly opposite is the private sauna, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. A washing machine and dryer are also available for longer stays.

Another highlight is the natural swimming pool located right next to the cottage, offering a refreshing way to cool off during the summer months. In front of the house you'll find outdoor seating and a traditional swing grill, perfect for relaxing barbecue evenings.

Only a few steps behind the cottage lies beautiful Lake Östra Lägern, where a rowing boat and canoe are included free of charge throughout your stay. Whether you enjoy fishing, paddling or simply exploring the peaceful shoreline, your nature holiday begins right outside your door. The German-speaking owner is an experienced angler and is happy to arrange guided fishing trips upon request.

The surrounding area offers plenty of attractions. In nearby Österbymo you'll find supermarkets, restaurants, a pharmacy, bank and a public swimming area. Rydsnäs is also close by, where motorboats can be rented.

Nature lovers should visit the impressive Brantefall Waterfall, one of the region's most beautiful natural attractions. Families will enjoy the Skullaryd Moose Park, where Sweden's iconic moose can be observed up close.

Just 30 kilometres away lies the picturesque wooden town of Eksjö, famous for its beautifully preserved historic buildings, charming cafés and boutique shops.

The popular town of Vimmerby is only about 50 kilometres away. Here you'll find Astrid Lindgren's World, the author's childhood home and the famous filming locations of Emil of Lönneberga at Katthult.

Fjällstugan is a non-smoking holiday home, and pets are not permitted. Final cleaning is included, while bed linen can be booked optionally. Electricity is charged according to consumption. A security deposit of €150 is required before arrival and will be refunded after departure, provided no damage has occurred.
