A 10-minute drive from the apartment lies Silesian Park—one of the largest in Europe. Its grounds feature many attractions, including the Silesian Zoological Garden, which boasts a rich history and a diverse array of animals. Another highlight of the park is the Silesian Planetarium—one of the most modern science parks in the world, presenting topics related not only to astronomy but also to seismology and meteorology. Interactive exhibits allow visitors to experience the phenomena being discussed. Katowice’s iconic Spodek is located less than 2 km from the Apartment. One of the most popular recreational spots in the area—the Valley of Three Ponds—is less than a 10-minute drive from the building. It is the perfect place to relax by the water and go on bike rides. A little further away, less than a 15-minute drive, is Morawa Pond, near which there are other ponds as well. The extensive infrastructure allows for comfortable relaxation and active leisure time. Worth visiting is the Szyb Wilson Gallery—a unique art gallery promoting young artists, located in the building of a former mine shaft. The Silesian Museum—which showcases the region’s heritage, history, and multiculturalism—is less than a 10-minute drive from the Apartment. Here you’ll find the “Bartosz” shaft, where you can see a historic steam engine in the engine room.
