Everything worked out well in getting in and settled in this house. It's reasonably well stocked in the kitchen. It has lots of indoor and outdoor space. The location is awesome, so close to the Strand and Pier Ave. Finally, the parking in the garage is spacious. I was worried about our medium SUV fitting based on past rentals but this was not a problem at all.

Super Nice

Cannot beat the location, close to beach. It was quiet and comfortable for the two of us, plenty of towels and linens, kitchen supplies, etc. Had a little trouble finding the garage at first, because it’s in an alley but after that it was smooth sailing. Would definitely stay again! Thanks Alex!

Winter in Hermosa Beach

Repeat customers at this delightful Hermosa Beach rental. Located close to the ocean on a quiet, picturesque walk street with friendly neighbors. Many amenities valued by us, including fireplace, garage plus parking pass, and inviting patio with well-tended flowers and plants. Management is responsive and effective. Eager to return.

Great Place to Stay!

We stayed for a month in this lovely home. We were so close to the beach and all the activities that the beach provides. We could not have asked for a better place or location. There was plenty of space to have friends and family over for cookouts and relaxation. The home was well equipped with all the necessary items needed for your stay. The owner/property manager was very nice and helpful while we were there. We would stay again and have also recommended it to many of our friends who visit this area frequently. We felt very lucky to find such a gem!

Old but Adequate

The location and courtyard were great. Outside Cushions old, faded, torn. Need to be replaced( Big Lots reasonable and easy to do- easy improvement.) House needs Heavy Cleaning top to bottom. Dirty Baseboards covered in dirt. Hairs on bathroom floors.ugh. Every bedroom needs a flat screen TV House desperately needs updating .

Perfect Location

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely property for a month. The house was spacious and, though dated, completely met our needs. The fireplace was a lovely added bonus. The location couldn't have been better, neighbors couldn't have been nicer. We were able to walk or ride our bikes everywhere we wanted to go. My only criticism is that the kitchen could have been a little cleaner (crumbs in the drawers when we arrived, sticky cabinets). We would definitely rent this property again!

Convenient beach place

We liked being close to the beach and restaurants, and the front patio area was great for eating and sitting out. The place was stocked well with equipment for cooking and it was nice having the grill in the enclosed patio. Garage parking and the extra permit were great as well.

Simple but Great Walk-Street House in Hermosa

House has all you want and need; not new or super fancy, but very comfortable. Good size with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, LR, Din Rm and Kitchen and great outdoor patio areas. Perfect for catching sun in mornings, talking to neighbors and enjoying the quieter beach atmosphere. Loved the fireplace for chasing off the winter chill. Location is fantastic, close enough to everything, but also not in hustle and bustle of the strand or commercial establishments.

Heaven!

We love being in Hermosa Beach-every day is a 10 out of 10 rating including this lovely home. Everything you need and more! New gas grill was awesome as well as the new furniture, new master bed, upgraded new TV and everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. Alex and Angie are excellent to deal with and super nice. We always wish we could stay longer we love it so much. Thank you for making it so comfortable and easy-we feel like it is our 2nd home!

What a Great House

We stayed in the house for 3 1/2 months and had another enjoyable experience. Located less than a hundred yards from the Beach on a quiet walk street it is an ideal location. One amenity that you might not think is so important but really is very important, the house has a garage. Unless you have experience the parking challenge of Hermosa Beach, you may not believe me. But trust this review, you will love having the garage. While the house does not have granite counter tops or stainless steel appliances it does have well functioning and reliable appliances. Our grandchildren just love to be at Grammie’s house. What more can i say. Oh, we have reserved the house again for next year. Always a good experience in a nice home with quality management..

Another Great Winter

This was the 4th consecutive year that we have stayed in the house for 3 months or longer. the location cannot be beat. Our grandchildren just love to come to Grammie's house. If you are not familiar with the area parking is at a precious premium and this house has a garage. as you can see from the photo there is a large very enjoyable patio in the front of the house. inside the house is very functional and well laid out. the kitchen is sizeable, while it does not have granite counter tops and stainless appliances, who cares. Everything works very well. the management company is excellent, they respond quickly and address any issues that you may have. we have already booked our 5th year.

Fantastic Location

We had a wonderful time at this house. The location is unbeatable especially for little children. They had the walk street as their playground and a short walk to the beach. The house is clean and neat but I think a few items need updating such as the master room bed sheets and some kitchen items. We are a family of 5 with young kids so we cooked every day. The kitchen could use more utensils, spatulas, plates, mugs and bowls. We ended up buying more mugs and bowls for the house. Otherwise, it was fantastic!

Love This Beach House

The location and value of this beach house is one of the very best in South Bay! We stayed there for over two months recently due to a relocation and loved it - it's spacious and comfortable. The house is in a terrific, family friendly neighborhood and the property manager Alex is very responsive. Just a short walk to Hermosa Pier and countless restaurants and shops and a quick bike ride to Redondo and Manhattan Beaches. If you get the chance to stay here take it!

Great Value and Location in Hermosa Beach. We hope to return in the future.

We were looking for a basic affordable beach house in a convenient location to enjoy the perfect weather and Beach Volleyball of Hermosa Beach. This location did that and it will meet the requirements of most travelers with the easy walk street set up (safe for children), garage parking spot, and functional layout. The great FIOS setup would be even better if a booster was added to bring Wi-Fi to the back bedrooms and a slightly larger TV were added for older eyes to search the menu for shows. Verizon Wireless also has a bit of a dead spot in this area of Hermosa Beach, but it is always beautiful to walk outside in the perfect weather.

Very Nice House will do it again next year

We stayed in this home for 4 months as we escaped a cold New England winter, of course it helped to have a grandson in Hermosa Beach. This home, which we found on VRBO, is a great place to stay. While dated in a few areas, we could not have asked for a better winter rental for us. The extra space in the house gave our two dogs, Tibetan Terriers, a change to spread out and the location provided for easy choices to walk them. Appropriately furnished and equipped, it was very easy for use to just move in and be settled. Both the owner and property manager were very helpful and very nice to work with We have already booked a repeat stay for next winter. Again, a great choice for a Beach Vacation....

Smith Properties have been friends of the family for over 50 years. The architect/owner designed and built this fine property many years ago and raised their family there. They rent it now since they moved to be close to the kids and grand kids.
