It is located in the district of Niedergurig not far from Bautzen in the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape - ideal for anglers, gliders, cyclists, hikers, walkers, newly in love, business travellers and families who simply want to relax and unwind in nature.Niedergurig belongs to the municipality of Malschwitz, which is located in the area of the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape. Our village lies on the Spree with many ponds and floodplains. Our landmark is the giant oak with a trunk circumference of 9.50 metres and is approx. 800 years old. In the centre of the village there is a very good restaurant, currently closed. For anglers, there is a specialist fishing shop in Bautzen and other shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity. You can reach our beautiful 1000-year-old town of Bautzen on foot, by bike or by bus.
