Misun D'Erio is a cosy semi-detached house on two floors, located in San Damiano Macra, in the Maira Valley, province of Cuneo. The accommodation comprises a ground floor with a large, bright living room with a balcony overlooking the valley and a wood-burning fireplace. Also on the ground floor is a large masonry kitchen with wood-burning oven and dining area. The room is characterised by rustic furnishings and colours, typical of the mountain style. On the same floor there is also a double bedroom and a service bathroom with laundry area. On the upper floor there are two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and bidet and a large terrace with vine pergola, perfect for enjoying moments of relaxation and conviviality in the midst of greenery and silence.
San Damiano Macra is the second most important centre in the Maira Valley, after Dronero, within the Cottian Alps and is only half an hour's drive from Cuneo. This village is in a picturesque location, surrounded by mountains and immersed in an alpine landscape characterised by valleys, forests and streams. The village is located at an altitude of 740 metres above sea level, but is surrounded by peaks of considerable height (over 1300 metres above sea level) that make it known for its natural beauty and for being an ideal starting point for excursions and outdoor activities, such as trekking, cycling and alpine skiing in the winter months.
In terms of food and wine, too, there are plenty of quality opportunities for lovers of good food. In fact, here it is possible to taste traditional Piedmontese dishes, such as cheeses and cold cuts typical of the area and polenta.
The valley offers the opportunity to visit numerous ancient hamlets, which in some cases reach altitudes of over 2000 metres, very well preserved and restored with particular attention to their historical and folkloristic origins.
