In the centre of one of the most picturesque medieval villages in Tuscany. 160 kilometres north of Rome, we rent out a charming flat in an 800-year-old castle, which we have lovingly furnished to a high standard.

The flat is suitable for a maximum of four adults and two children (up to 12 years). In the flat (120sqm) with spacious living room, which has two bedrooms (2 double rooms, baby cradle, cot), a large shower room and an additional guest toilet with large washbasin, four people and two children up to max. 12 years can comfortably accommodate.the flat is equipped with WLAN, satellite, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, large refrigerator, sufficient crockery and cutlery.Important note: if required, an additional bedroom with a wet room can be booked separately from the flat at an extra charge (see photo 19). Important note: If heating is required at other times of the year in winter or in the event of bad weather, the consumption per day will be charged. We reserve the right to charge the heating costs incurred via the deposit, which must be transferred to the owner before the start of the holiday. The flat is located in a medieval residential complex on a picturesque little square, in a particularly enchanting hilly location that is pure Italian idyll. It is located within the former fortifications and can be reached via a steep ramp and steps. Cars are not allowed on the piazza, so your peace and quiet is absolutely guaranteed. Cars are parked on the village piazza. (approx. 30 metres away).

The lively, picturesque village of Montemerano with its 500 inhabitants and its quaint bars, pubs and good restaurants is like an open Italian picture book. Romans and Florentines come all the way here for a gourmet meal at the two-star restaurant "Caino". This accommodation is located on the Piazza del Castello, where Milos Forman shot scenes from his famous film "Amadeus" in 1983. If you feel like enjoying the poetic backdrop of the piazza, you can use the sun loungers provided, with or without parasols, on the piazza in front of the house entrance. If you are on holiday with children, you can also use the inflatable paddling pool in the flat and park for free 30-50 metres below the village church.

Hot springs, golf course, sea, beaches, olive groves, vineyards and cities of artIn just five minutes by car you can reach the splendid thermal baths and hot waterfalls, 37 degrees, in Saturnia and the golf course (18 holes), or the riding centre and stables of the Centro Ippico Omnia Ranch; there are also wonderful walks. Nearby are clean rivers - very nice for picnics and swimming with children - a 40-minute drive takes you to the dream beaches - also sandy beaches - by the sea. You drive there through the unspoilt olive and wine landscape of the wild Maremma. You will receive tips for the most beautiful excursion destinations from the owner after booking. The world-famous cathedral of Sovana, the ancient excavations in Rosselle and the impressive historic towns of Pitigliano, Orvieto, Lucca, Pisa, Siena and Volterra are not far away. The whole area is full of art-historical gems.
