Our country house, designed and built from the 'ashes' of an abandoned ruin. With passion, love and many sacrifices, we managed to give it a new life. A building dating back to the end of the 19th century, recovered, restructured to adapt it to the new requirements, respecting all landscape and architectural constraints. Nothing has been changed in the original elevations and solutions, rather life has been breathed into what was hidden and covered by misplaced modernity, from plasterboard ceilings, plaster on the façade, plastic gutters.... The façade and stone columns, lintels, wooden structures and the park were emphasised. In this photo we have tried to show the before and after, as requested by several guests. After years of reflection, we have decided to open the doors to tourists who want to discover the charms of the inland areas of Sardinia to discover the beauty of the Giara plateau with its purest horses, visit the house of Fra Nicola or the Nuragic Complex of Barumini. This luxurious, almost castle-like villa is located in Gesturi in Sardinia and is ideal for 10 travellers. It offers 5 bedrooms, a private swimming pool, an enclosed garden and WiFi and from 1 May will also feature a Mini SPA.
The stay is perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. Rest on the comfortable sofa and enjoy a good book in front of the fireplace or take advantage of the amenities offered by the property, including WiFi and Hi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped to allow you to cook your favourite dishes. Enjoy your meals at the dining table with seating for 16 or outside on the terrace, balcony. or in the garden Enjoy the view of the pool. The farmhouse has 5 comfortable bedrooms, 4 with a double bed, and 1 with 2 single beds. Several bathrooms are available, 3 with a shower and WC. Separate toilets are available The farmhouse has a safe, a hoover, cleaning products, an iron and ironing board, a tumble dryer, air conditioning, a washing machine, central heating, a jacuzzi and a desk. Please note that cleaning, towels, bed linen and tourist tax are included in the rental cost. Parking is available on site and is private.

Bicycle hire Surroundings 1Description of the site : The municipality is situated at an altitude of 320 metres above sea level, in the historical region of Marmilla, famous for the Giara plateau that towers above it and for being the birthplace of the Capuchin Blessed Friar Nicholas. The territory of Gesturi is predominantly hilly. Lying at the foot of the Giara plateau, the area's fame is mainly linked to its wild and unspoilt beauty, inhabited by extremely rare animals. In fact, the area is inhabited by the only existing herd in Italy and Europe of wild horses better known as 'cavallini della Giara'. Small in size, their origin is shrouded in mystery, a detail that adds to the charm of these robust and tranquil animals. In addition to churches, the Gesturi territory is characterised by the presence of numerous Nuragic sites. Indeed, the amount of pre-Nuragic (menhirs, domus de janas), Nuragic (nuraghi and tombs of the giants) and Punic-Roman remains in the territory is impressive.Excursion destinations : The first excursion to make is to visit the Giara plateau, which is less than a kilometre from the house, to observe the famous wild horses in an unspoilt environmentDo not overlook the proximity to Barumini (4 km), famous throughout the world for its nuragic complex 'Su Nuraxi', which has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. Also in Barumini is 'Casa Zapata', a marvellous and complex residence built by the ancient and noble Aragonese Zapata family from the late 16th century onwards. In the 1990s, during restoration work on the palace, it was discovered that the Zapata palace was built over the well-preserved remains of a Nuragic settlement.
