Žrnovnica is a village located east / northeast of Split. It is part of the City of Split, only 20 minutes by car from the old city center (14km)It is located in the passage at the foot of Mosor, on its southern side and the western/northern side of Mount Perun, along the river of the same name -Žrnovnica is a faster karst river with smaller waterfalls and many rapids. It flows through the place of the same name and flows into the sea only a few kilometers from Split in the direction of Omis.In its upper course, Žrnovnica passes through a canyon that is poorly accessible to people, so that part is the best preserved.
