A well appointed and furnished house in a very quite, secluded neighborhood. The house is very comfortable and the large, wooded backyard perfect for outdoor living.
All was great! Quite wonderful. Could use an update of pots and pans. We bought a working can opener and left it. The coffee for is difficult and leaks. Other than that.... perfect!
Nice outdoor space, plumbing needs some fixing up and needs a new trundle bed or two twin beds.
Overall, this house was very accommodating, two issues cropped up. When we got there, there was a note about a hole in the drywall of the kitchen ceiling bc of an "issue", that's it.
On the night we were going to hold our mother's birthday surprise dinner, the reason we came to Sequim, it began dripping water from the ceiling. Immediately, I got a hold of the owners via VRBO, they called me within an hour and a plumber was out to the house within 2 hours. Both the master and guest toilet's were wobbling, the plumber said he reset the master toilet, and reset the guest toilet and that there was standing water underneath BOTH of them? Not sure what happened previously....but it sounds BAD! We could still use them, but I was kind of grossed out about the fact that toilet water was leaking onto the kitchen counters.
Also, in one of the pictures of the house, one room said it had a trundle bed, so it sleeps two people, which I was counting on two mattresses. When we checked in, the trundle was broken and what they did was separate the 1 mattress and the box spring and put a blanket over the box spring and call it a bed? That is NOT right! We had to have 1 person end up sleeping on the couch because of the lack of the second mattress.
Other than those two pretty major issues, the house had it a lot of amenities and space, the outdoor space and firepit was awesome, we spent almost every night outside. We even played cornhole almost daily.
In June there were 8 of us including 2 teenage boys that stayed at the house. The amount of space was perfect with the 4 bedrooms and 2 living areas to spread out. It was great to have the dining room table that accommodated all of us for meals. We are a family that rents VRBOs because it allows us the option to cook meals and eat together in a more relaxing space than at a restaurant. With that in mind, we found there were several opportunities with regard to the kitchen supplies and we also noted several other maintenance needs. Understanding that the owners may not be there to know about these unless someone tells them, we wanted to provide a list of some observations which would further enhance the guest experience:
Several lights are out: master bath right vanity mirror, single light over kitchen sink, 2 ceiling lights over kitchen sink, patio lights outside (string bulbs have many burned out)
The gas grill could use some good cleaning and general maintenance. We used it and it worked fine so this is just an observation.
A couple hot water faucets leak because they don't fully shut off: one in the master bath left sink and the upstairs bath.
As cooks who ate all meals at the house there are some key needs in the kitchen: a good can opener, a wine opener (there was a bottle of wine waiting on our arrival which was awesome, but no opener). better skillets/pots (there are few there and they are in pretty rough shape), a spatula to use inside (not the grill spatulas), there was barely enough glassware for 8 and the coffee filter is about ready for replacement.
We only found 1 dish towel so a few more of these would be helpful.
We also noted that clearly marked container outside for trash, cardboard, glass and cans would help encourage/facilitate recycling.
We really enjoyed the house and the large back yard. There was ample wood for an outdoor fire which we took advantage of one night. The location is quiet and there is easy access to shopping. We stopped at Costco and Safeway on the way to the house and stocked up. The fridge was large enough to accommodate our groceries for several days.
We recommend this as a place to stay, the only reason it didn't get 5 stars was due to the kitchen situation.
Pleasant, comfortable home with an exceptionally well stocked kitchen. Pictures of the interior are accurate. Ideal for family with small children--many toys and books plus a great fenced backyard to play in. Owners provide a useful folder with thorough information about the house and the area. Grand children loved the Sequim Olympic Game Farm.
Well maintained, very clean. The kitchen has nice flow into the dining room and the family room, well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
The bedrooms are spacious, and nicely laid out. The house is at the end of a quiet culdesac within easy distance of the local attractions, restaurants the National Park highlights and an amazing whale watch. The back yard is huge and private. We used the fire pit with the owner provided firewood. The grill was in good working order, we grilled dinner several times.
We look foreword to returning.
This home was perfect for our small family reunion. The back yard and fire pit was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The large kitchen and open concept design made it great to socialize together. Melissa, the owner was prompt and easy to work with. Would definitely return again and recommend to others with no hesitation.
This home is a heaven for families with kids. Our kids enjoyed a lot - the baby gates and the other baby proofing was a boon. The backyard is very beautiful and the home itself was spotless clean, something we really appreciate when travelling with kids. All the bedrooms are also very cosy. Highly recommend this place!
I had trouble getting on Vrbo and even called them and they couldnât help me either. So I had a bad experience relaying information to them. But the survey came thru ok
This lovely, spacious house was perfect for my family of 7 and the dog. The location is perfect - minutes from lavender fields, tide pools, and hiking trails. The exceptionally large backyard is fenced in, so Dobby the dog loved it. The owners are extremely thoughtful and have provided just about everything. They are also easy to contact and very responsive. We stayed 2 weeks and have high praise for this house. It deserves higher than the 5 stars I was allowed to give it.
Stayed here for the 2021 Sequim Lavender festival with my husband and sister. There was plenty of room in the house - easily could have had 5 more guests. Nice outdoor space with a firepit for the evenings, and everything you'd need in the kitchen. Perfectly clean. We'd definitely stay in this property again.
This property was really cute! The backyard was super nice to hang out in with enough chairs for everyone to sit in. The kitchen was also well stocked. We had a couple issues with a toilet and the dishwasher, but the owner was very receptive! The place was clean. However, it may not be for someone with allergies or multiple chemical sensitivities. They used pretty heavy chemicals to clean, and that and a little mold knocked me down for a day.
This house is beautiful, comfortable and practically perfect! We enjoyed every minute of our time here. The yard is lovely, the kitchen well-stocked, and the whole property was very clean. If we are ever in this area againâŠ. We will definitely stay here again!
The home was immaculate and comfortable. A nice property with all the comforts of home.
Situated on a cul de sac in a quiet neighborhood, we loved the convenience of the location.
Lovely home within a quiet setting and very easy to access property. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and close to town for restaurants. We would stay here again!
Brief change of scene after lengthy COVID âat homeâ
Very well equipped home - more than typical holiday home. Back yard good for relaxation and outdoor dining. Great area - would love to stay longer and explore more.
Suggestion - master bed is comfortable, but very loud creaky when someone turns over or gets up - disturbs other sleeper. Anything you can do?
Also FYI ice machine was jammed and made loud clunking noise in the night. Managed to clear it
It had everything we needed, the host was great and we really enjoyed the house as well as the yard (picking raspberries was a big plus). Would absolutely love to come back
The house was a great place to celebrate Thanksgiving with our adult children, one of whom lives on a nearby farm. The kitchen was perfect for cooking a large meal, and there were abundant dishes, silverware, and glassware, all in good condition, for enjoying our meal. The beds were very comfortable. And the bathrooms, especially the master bath, were very nice as well. The only problems we encountered were the main floor heating system and the WiFi. It was difficult to adequately heat the main floor, even with the thermostat turned up, as the main source of heat seemed to come from only one register in the dining room. Keeping a fire going in the family room helped, as did our big day of cooking, so it was manageable. Also, as Minnesotans we understand how to dress in layers to keep warm! And we were fine for a few days without reliable WiFi, so that wasnât a big problem for us either. Overall, the house met our needs very well, and we had a wonderful family time!

Inaccurate Description, Cost Too High For Four People
The home was comfortable and family friendly. There was a large backyard and it was located in a quiet neighborhood. "Luxury" NO, "Perfection" NO. We left in the afternoon of the second day. There was NETFLIX in the home, but it seemed there was no ability to watch television programs. The washing machine did not work for us and we were instructed in the written directions to strip the beds and do at least two loads of wash. We tried calling the owner on the two phones we were given to get instructions.
This was our first home and we enjoyed living in it for 7 years. We invested a lot of blood, sweat and tears to make this house just the way we wanted it - and then we moved! We are perfectionists and think you will find the home to be just to your liking.
This house is in one of the best neighborhoods in Sequim, surrounded by beautiful trees and great people. We fell in love with the location and remodelled the 80s style to an updated, modern and luxury style. We are sad that we don't live here anymore!
