Cozy Cottage d'une chambre en face du lac Portage et à quelques pas du lac Michigan

Ce chalet confortable en pin noueux d'une chambre offre un coin salon séparé avec cuisine complète. Idéalement situé sur une étroite péninsule entre le lac Portage et le lac Michigan, chacun offrant des plages uniques. Il est en face du lac Portage et à 5 minutes à pied du lac Michigan. L'accès du public aux deux lacs est à proximité. Onekama est la porte d'entrée de la pittoresque M22, élue l'une des 10 meilleures routes panoramiques en Amérique par USA Today. Il y a vraiment quelque chose pour chacun. Passez votre temps à vous promener sur les deux plages, à nager, à faire du bateau, à pêcher ou simplement à vous détendre autour d'un feu de joie sur la plage tout en regardant le coucher du soleil. Nous sommes également à moins d'une demi-heure de golf de classe mondiale au célèbre Arcadia Bluffs. Vous pourrez vous amuser la nuit au Little River Casino à seulement quelques kilomètres. Nous sommes à moins d'une heure de la région viticole de Traverse City, de la rivière Platte et de la station Crystal Mountain. La pêche charter peut être facilement organisée à Onekama.
La chambre principale a un lit queen et le salon a un canapé-lit. La cuisine est entièrement équipée et les draps sont fournis. Nous proposons des locations à la journée, à la semaine et au mois. Cette maison de poupée est située sur un terrain avec son chalet jumeau et un rabais est offert pour ceux qui souhaitent louer les deux. Cette zone du lac Portage est l'endroit le plus souhaitable pour la plupart des vacanciers, en raison de son accès inégalé aux deux lacs.

Great location, and host!

Charming town and so happy I found this great cottage. Nice hosts, clean, comfortable and we were able to bring my two small dogs. Both lakes are amazing! I definitely plan to return.

Authentic northern getaway

Exactly what we were looking for, a cute little cabin/dollhouse nestled away in northern Michigan. Amenities were perfect, location was excellent, quiet and relaxing. Host was very responsive, place was kept clean, and we had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Family vacation

Our family had a great week staying here. Waterfront and beach access were all within walking distance and we loved walking our dogs there to get in their exercise. Jane was super helpful and quick with answers to questions!

Relaxing

This property was perfect for me and my partner. I can't remember a more relaxing time I have had on a vacation. The property was close to Langland beach. We were able to enjoy the sunset every night. Everyone we met and spoke with were so friendly. My partner got to meet many dogs as they were being walked by the cottage. There were many things so see and do within a reasonable drive from the cottage. Arcadia Marsh has to be one of my favorites. My sunrise pictures would have only been better without the addition of the smoke from the Canadian fires. Same goes for the sunset ones. But, it is, what it is this year. Also, I have never seen so many deer as in this area. We seen some every day while here! Morning, noon and evening. You have to be a bit vigilant while driving. We can't wait to come back again. We highly recommend this place.

Portage Lake cottage

Enjoy a view of Portage Lake right from the comfortable living room. Lake Michigan is a short walk from the cottage. Furniture and bed are very comfortable, outdoor picnic table and grills are great. Kitchen is very well stocked with nice dishes and pots and pans. I brought more than I needed due to the thoughtful stocking of kitchen, linens, blankets, and towels. Backyard backs up to sand dunes. Very beautiful setting.

Clean. Lovely location. Quiet. Relaxing.

Very clean, well-supplied with dishes, cookware, all basic supplies. All arrangements worked as expected. The owners were responsive and accommodating. Great location for access to Lake Michigan. There are many public access points, all well marked. We favored the one closest to the channel connecting Portage Lake with Lake Michigan because of convenient parking and a boardwalk there down to the beach. Even on Labor Day the beach was not crowded. We enjoyed bike riding both in Onekama and also up the coast a bit by Acadia. Scenery along the coast is amazing. Manistee is also a short drive and has many dinner options. Saw deer, wild turkeys. Every day we opened the door of the cottage and had a partial view of Portage Lake, which we really enjoyed.

My 2nd stay here. The location is ideal for a relaxing vacation at the beach on Lake Michigan and to drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes. So glad my pup is welcome also! My BFs first trip to Onekama and he loved the area! Hope to return soon! Perfect for 2 people and my furkid!

It was a very nice place and a very cozy little cottage. I would like to visit again if my husband was interested. We had to visit without him but I do think it would be a place that he would be interested in due to having access to the inland lake and lake Michigan for his boat. It was a very nice location. The sunsets were beautiful. It is within walking distance to both bodies of water. There were many things available to us in the home that was very helpful. The bed was clean and so were the towels and floors. The couches were very comfortable. My son slept in the recliner for the four nights that we were there. One of the things that I would change is the backyard. We had to put one of our dogs on a lead because he will run into the road and there were many things that the lead would get caught on and the yard is not closed in. Two tree stumps and pavers. One of the other things is that we ran out of trash bags. I don't know if we are supposed to supply the trash bags or if the owners are supposed to but we made it through with little bags. Another thing is that it looked like there is blood smeared across the bedroom blind. I wasn't sure what it was but we were not going to touch it. The last thing is that the dishes were not fully clean. I had to wash them before using them. For example the utensils had food still caked in them and a baking sheet had things burnt to it. All and all it was an amazing little cabin and we would love to go back.

Clean and comfortable!

The house has everything you could possibly need, it was clean and comfortable. A short walk and you were at the lake,. I liked that I could walk a half mile in one direction to get to Lake Michigan walk down the beach and come up at a different spot and walk another half mile to complete the circle. I would definitely book this property again.

Awesome stay

This is an awesome little cottage, very clean and cozy. Fast Internet (I had to work part-time - no issues with zoom calls). Owners are very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Portage lake in literally 1 minute of walking, Michigan - maybe 10 minutes walk. Amazing sunset views. Make sure to visit Glenwood restaurant. Dog-friendly, which was very important for us, and some beaches in the area are dog-friendly too. Definitely recommend!

Just right

We've rented this property for several years. While we kinda wish to stay right on the lake, this location is the next best thing. I enjoy the glimpse of Portage Lake as I sit on the sofa and look out the window. Walks to either Lake Michigan beach are refreshing. We always enjoy bike rides around the peninsula.

A True Northern Michigan Cabin Experience ❤️

This cabin is perfect for 2 or 3 people, absolutely love the original knotty pine interior, parking for two vehicles at the front door was a plus, owners were the best in making sure everything was just like at home, loved the location, easy walking access to several public accesses to Portage lake and within minutes to the Beautiful Shores of Lake Michigan. Planning on and can’t wait until next years stay, we’re hoping to schedule a 3 week stay at this Gem of a get away next year. Thank You..

Great sunset

Small but pleasant property, we enjoyed walking to see both lakes. Had a nice bonfire on Lake Michigan beach at sunset. Jane was a helpful host.

Our family has been vacationing in Onekama for four generations. We have never seen a more perfect setting. Both lakes provide such unique offerings and to have them both within minutes is what really makes this area unique. Where else can you watch the sun rise on one lake and set on another within a half mile? What we love the most about the area is the fact that once you have experienced Onekama, you always seem to come back. Year after year and generation after generation, this is the place to make family memories.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Both of this dollhouse and its sister cottage have beautiful knotty pine interiors. They can be rented independently or together. The dollhouse is a cozy get-away, but would also be a perfect grandparent or in-law cottage for families staying in the sister cottage.
