Forget your worries - in this spacious and quiet accommodation!

This beautiful wooden holiday home with over 100 m² of living space and a large garden is in an absolutely quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac in an idyllic location on the outskirts of Fågelfors, right on the edge of the forest.
There is plenty of space to relax or for children to let off steam.

The house is located in the heart of Småland, and at the same time within easy reach of the Baltic Sea, an ideal starting point for numerous beautiful excursions.

We lovingly renovated the house ourselves in 2024 and use it privately for our holidays.
Outside of these times, we would like to offer it to our guests for relaxation.

Plot: 827 m², living area 115 m²,
Location: Only 13 km from the town of Högsby and 45 km from Oskarshamn (Baltic Sea, ferry).

The two bedrooms each have a double bed (180x200 cm). In the large living room area there is also a pull-out sofa with a comfortable sleeping area (172x113 cm) for a fifth person.
Available duvet sizes: 4 x 155x220cm, 2 x 135x200cm.
All bedrooms and the living room have blinds to darken the room.

Bed linen and towels are not included in the price, but can be booked as an optional package.

The large and bright kitchen invites you to cook together in a cosy atmosphere.
It is equipped with everything you need: fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cooker with oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, mixer and plenty of crockery, pots, pans and bowls.
There are also various spices such as salt, pepper, vinegar and oil.
There is a cosy dining area next to the kitchen.
There is also a pantry.

The house has a covered terrace behind the house and a second (uncovered) terrace at the front.
So there is always plenty of opportunity to find sun or shade as you wish.

There is also a large living room area at your disposal, which is divided by an open shelving unit. A large table, two sofas, a cosy armchair, two rocking chairs, TV with satellite TV (Swedish channels), a small stereo system, games and books for young and old invite you to linger.

There is also a new air-to-air heat pump in the living room, which provides quick warmth in the transitional period or on cool evenings - or can also be used as air conditioning on hot days.
For the cooler months of the year, there is also central heating with radiators in all rooms.

The house has a bathroom with WC and an additional guest WC.
A washing machine is available in the utility area.

There is enough space for two cars in the large car park in front of the house.

If required, two bicycles (Bio Bike, 3 or 5 gears) can be rented for a small fee (10 euros per bike per week), which could be used, for example, to cycle comfortably to the lake.

Local supply:
There is a nice little supermarket in the village which is open daily. You can easily reach it on foot in approx. 5 minutes.
There is also a bakery with a lovely atmosphere and a delicious range of bread, pastries, cakes, pizza... (open 3 days a week).

There are several lakes in the immediate vicinity of Fågelfors.
The nearest bathing lake is Övresjön. In addition to a sandy beach, jetty and non-swimmers' area, it also has changing rooms, toilets and a barbecue area (free access). This lake is only 5 minutes away by car.
And Klobosjön fishing lake is a wonderful place for a stroll.

The woods around Fågelfors are perfect for relaxing walks. In summer/autumn you can pick plenty of mushrooms, blueberries and lingonberries. A beautiful forest path starts near the house.

The nearby river Emån offers beautiful nature and opportunities for canoeing or fishing (e.g. for salmon, sea trout). With the tourist fishing licence you can fish in 29 different waters within the municipality of Högsby.

Possible excursion destinations:
- Vimmerby: the popular Astrid Lindgren World and Astrid Lindgren Museum (50 min drive),
nearby is also the Katthult Farm (film: "Michel from Lönneberga") and the filming location of "The Children of Bullerbü"

- Välen: large lake in Fagerhult (17 km)

- Canoeing or fishing on the river Emån

- Oskarshamn (45 km): harbour town, beautiful beaches,
from there ferry connections to Öland, Gotland and e.g. the nature paradise Blå Jungfrun Island

- Kalmar (82 km): nearest airport, beautiful medieval town on the Baltic Sea with a castle and various museums well worth seeing.
A 6 km long bridge across the Kalmar Sound takes you to the island of Öland with its many sights, e.g. Soliden Castle (summer residence of the royal family) with a museum open to the public.
