What a delightful little cottage, right on the river! A beautiful respite after hiking and touring around Olympic National Park and the Port Angeles area. Convenient to the National Park Visitor's Center, and the drive up to Hurricane Ridge (definitely worth doing!) The neighborhood was a bit unkept, and the maze of streets to the cabin was a bit confusing, but the cabin itself was perfect for our two-night stay. The stream was very relaxing and beautiful; one morning we saw two deer meandering upstream very near the cabin. Would definitely return next time we are in the Port Angeles area.
This was a nice find as we were finishing up our trip in Olympic National Park. The owners are very organized with lots of information regarding this property and surrounding areas. The cookies were a very nice treat.Thank you so much
Extremely relaxing stay, super close to the National Park entrances
Just like everyone else states, loved the balcony and the babling stream watching the deer come down to the water for a drink. The cabin is very nice and the bed very comfortable. Downtown Port Angeles is only a few miles away with the Safeway and Walmart. Cabin is tucked away in a nice remote setting off of Hwy 101 that made it feel really quiet and peaceful. Every night we pulled into the driveway my wife would look at me and say how much she loves this place. Jim and Katie were outstanding in their communication with us before and during our stay. We could not have been more pleased with this vacation stay. Extremely highly recommended.
Great quiet clean place to hang out after playing in the park. We saw deer, birds and raccoons right from the property. This was cool to see while relaxing. The distance from the house to things was another plus. The cookies were also delicious.
We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed everyone one of them. Pulling up to the property one could tell it was an old home, but as soon as the doors opened, the decor and the cleanliness was spot on from the pics online. So often the pics and reality donât match up, this place exceeded the online posting. I rarely walk around a VRBo without shoes on or slippers, but it was impeccably clean. Our puppies were greeted with sheets to put over the furniture and we all loved it as it saved us from washing our own furniture covers we use when we travel. Lastly, we had a few inquiries while on the property and Katie, the property manager was absolutely amazing. We would stay in another home owned by this group. Thank you, Jim and Katie for a wonderful experience. It was nice coming back to this oasis after hiking and drinking coffee and wine on the back porch and listening to the water.
Fully enjoyed our stay at the waterfront cabin. Enjoyed how out of the way it was, while still in close proximately to Port Angeles and some areas of Olympic. Clean & very comfortable. Loved hearing the constant flow of water!
The perfect place for my wife and I to stay while we explore the Olympic Peninsula. The cabin was clean, and had just the right amount of room for two people to comfortably stay. It was close to local amenities. And the best part was hearing the rush of the creek right outside the porch. Would stay here again.
This was my third time staying at this property. It is the definition of serenity. I always enjoy cozying up to the fireplace, and sipping morning coffee on the deck overlooking the creek and wildlife. And the bed is so comfortable! So close to downtown Port Angeles and it's quaint views, shops, and restaurants. Also near to great hikes, including my favorite, at Lake Crescent. The owners and property manager are super communicative and friendly. Great spot for 1-2 people to just get away from it all, but be aware that there is just one bed. It's best for a single person or a couple.
Very nice cozy cabin. We had a great stay. Wish the check out time was a little later so we wouldnât have to rush and the pet fee be a little less. The owners did a great job of communicating.
The cabin is very comfortable. The deck over looking the stream was fantastic for morning coffee and afternoon wine & cheese. Close to the NP park. Very convenient.
It was a real challenge managing all the speed bumps and humps getting to the property. This should be communicated. Getting in and out of driveway was a nightmare. The cabin was very clean. The bed was comfortable however all the other furniture was very uncomfortable unless you were short and or agile enough to get up after sitting. The highlight is the babbling creek.
Nice cabin on a lovely creek. Secluded away so that you can relax, but has all the amenities that one could ask for. Easy drive into Port Angeles or Olympic National Park.
Really fun and cool spot, I would highly recommend to anyone.
We had an excellent experience here. My dog loved walking the quiet neighborhood. The sound of the water was very peaceful to enjoy while meditating or drinking a morning cup of coffee. The place was very comfortable and peaceful with everything you could need. Loved the timed fireplace inside. Communication with the host was excellent. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice retreat and who would like to explore Olympic National Park.
Centrally located, As long you hit the Parks early there's really not much of a wait at least not in mid to late August. Enjoyed traveling into Victoria BC and Whale watching. But the highlight has to be the Parks and the amazing trees. It was always nice to get back to the house and listen to the creek and watch the Deer eat and wander through. Ps Swains is a must stop for shopping dont forget the popcorn lol.
Thanks the Romer's
Lovely charming cabin, secluded alongside a bubbling stream, situated close to ONP while providing convenient access to shopping and dining in Port Angeles. Very convenient booking and access and excellent communications with the host manager.
It's an older little house on a river. With a nice deck over the water and a winter view of the mountains. Inside is cozy with a nice gas fire place on a timer, spacious bath, nice couch and comfortable bed. We stayed three nights. Great location for outdoor activities or if you want a shopping day in PA
We had a very nice stay at this property. The cabin is well equipped and exactly as described. Communication with the host was excellent. Would stay here again. Olympic National Park and the area is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My husband, grandson and myself stayed a week here while on a month long road trip. It was a nice place to stay while exploring Olympic National Park. Grocery store and shopping was nearby. We appreciated the washer/dryer, kitchen and setting of the cabin. It was spotless and the bed was super comfy. Jim was easy to contact and very responsive. They even shipped some items to us that we left behind. I appreciated that very much. Other reviews complained about the area getting to the cabin being sketchy but I didnt get that vibe at all. It seemed very safe.
I highly recommend this property. We had a great stay (2 adults and our 18 yo daughter) at this cabin. The property was exactly as listed and very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed listening to the creek and seeing the baby deer across the creek every day. The cabin is a quick and easy drive to Port Angeles and many of the ONP sites during our stay. The host was very responsive before and during our stay with directions, recommendations, etc. Book it - you won't regret it!
We had a wonderful stay here at this little riverfront cabin. Getting there was OK (directions were spot on) but getting out was a little tricky. By the third day we had it down :). Sitting out on the back deck was very relaxing listening to the water. We didnât go out as much as we were going to cause we just stayed there! Perfect place to stay if youâre exploring Olympic National Park or taking the ferry to Victoria, Canada. The bed was very comfortable and the cookies were to die for. The only thing I would change is the sleeper sofa in the living area. It was hard to get out of! Loved the cabin and would definitely stay there again!
My wife and I live in Sequim, WA with our golder retriever named Bear. We enjoy hiking and horseback riding in Olympic National Park. We also enjoy sailing, flying and travel.
What we enjoy the most about our cabin is sitting out under the trees watching the birds and other wildlife that frequent the creek and the wonderful sound of cascading water flowing down the creek.
