Historic 1913 Home near Mt. Baker - Family & Group Getaways
Welcome to the Acme Motorworks Heritage House, a charming circa-1913 home in the beautiful South Fork Valley of Washington.
Whether you're planning a family getaway, exploring Mt. Baker and the North Cascades, visiting friends and family in the area, or simply looking for a peaceful place to slow down and reconnect, our historic home offers a unique place to stay in the heart of Acme.
THE HOME
Our three-bedroom historic home comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests in 5 traditional beds:
You'll have private use of the entire home, including the kitchen, living and dining areas, loft, one full bathroom, and laundry.
The house retains much of the character that makes an early-1900s home special while providing modern comforts, including air conditioning in each bedroom and TVs throughout the home.
A PLACE TO UNPLUG
One of the things that makes the Heritage House different is the opportunity to truly disconnect for a while.
There is no Wi-Fi at the home. We recommend downloading movies, shows, maps and other entertainment before your arrival if you'd like to stream from your own device to the TVs.
Spend your evenings playing games, visiting around the table, reading, relaxing or simply enjoying a slower pace in the South Fork Valley.
EXPLORE THE AREA
Acme makes a wonderful home base for exploring this beautiful part of Northwest Washington.
Enjoy day trips toward Mt. Baker, discover hiking trails and waterfalls, explore the North Cascades, or simply take a drive through the beautiful South Fork Valley.
When you're ready for a meal or a few essentials, the Acme Diner and Acme Mercantile are just a short walk from the house.
OUTDOOR SPACE
The lawn is available for guests to enjoy. You're welcome to bring outdoor chairs and a portable BBQ grill and spend some time outside enjoying the surroundings.
Please note that our outdoor deck is currently being restored and is not available for guest use.
TRAVELING WITH A PET?
Pets are welcome with some important limitations. To help protect future guests who may have pet allergies, pets may not free-roam inside the home and must be kenneled while indoors.
Don't have a kennel with you? Just let us know before arrival and we'll be happy to have one available for your stay.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
As an authentic historic home dating to circa 1913, the house has some of the character and quirks that come with its age. Some vintage windows do not open; however, each bedroom has air conditioning and a fan for added comfort.
The home has one full bathroom shared by all guests.
We want guests to know exactly what to expect before arriving so you can settle in, relax and enjoy your stay.

Acme Motorworks Heritage House is part of a property with deep roots in the history of Acme and the South Fork Valley. We purchased the property with a vision of preserving its history and giving new life to a special piece of the community. The house dates to circa 1913 and has been thoughtfully furnished to retain the warmth and character of an earlier time while providing a comfortable place for today's guests. The bedrooms are named Mattie's Room, Fred's Room and the Zobrist Suite in recognition of the people connected to the property's early history. We love sharing Acme with visitors—whether you're here to explore Mt. Baker and the North Cascades, spend time with family and friends, or simply enjoy a quieter pace for a few days. By staying here, you're not just visiting Acme; you're becoming part of the continuing story of this historic property. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy preserving and sharing it.

Acme sits in the beautiful South Fork Valley, surrounded by mountains, farmland, forests and the South Fork Nooksack River. It's a wonderful place to slow down, enjoy nature and experience a quieter side of Northwest Washington. Whether your idea of a perfect day is heading into the mountains for an adventure or simply enjoying the scenery and small-town atmosphere, this is a special place to call home during your visit.
