Escape to the quiet beauty of Running Water, South Dakota, at Jerry’s River Haus, a bright and comfortable rural retreat near the Missouri River.

Enjoy nearby shore fishing and river access just minutes—or even a short walk—from the house. Watch for deer, wild turkeys, and bald eagles, or relax with morning coffee on the covered porch. After a day of boating, kayaking, hunting, or exploring, return to approximately one acre of outdoor space, a propane grill, comfortable outdoor seating, and peaceful evenings around the fire pit. Jerry’s River Haus comfortably sleeps up to eight guests and is well suited for families, friends, anglers, hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a peaceful country getaway.

Inside, guests will find a fully equipped kitchen, two TVs with Apple TV, Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, family-friendly amenities, fresh linens, and flexible sleeping arrangements for up to eight guests.

Several nearby river access points and fishing spots give guests multiple options for enjoying the water. The closest Missouri River access is approximately 0.1 mile from the house—an easy walk or short drive. Two additional fishing areas are nearby, including a more secluded spot approximately 0.3 mile away.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to:
-Entire guest living quarters
-Approximately one acre of outdoor space
-Covered porch
-Fire pit and outdoor areas
-Designated partitioned garage/pet area
-Gravel driveway with designated parking directly in front of the garage doors

Before check-in, guests will be asked to provide a preferred 4-digit door code. That code will be active for the duration of the reservation and will provide access through the front porch door, side entry door, and exterior garage-area entry door.

Parking & Arrival:
Please use the gravel driveway entrance off Poplar Road, NOT Main Street, and park directly in front of the garage doors. Do not use the Main Street entrance because of the septic system and loose rock.

The private garage is not available for guest use. The interior door leading from the designated garage area to the private garage remains locked. If authorized family members need to access the private garage during a stay, they will use the private garage entrance and will not enter the guest living quarters.

Pets, Hunting Dogs & Service Animals:
Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable law and Vrbo’s service-animal policy. Guests traveling with a service animal are encouraged to notify the host so appropriate preparations can be made.

Cats are not permitted due to allergies.

Dogs are permitted only with advance approval from the host. Up to two dogs of any size may be approved. Dogs approved to stay inside the home are subject to a one-time $50 fee per dog. Approved hunting dogs and other approved dogs kept exclusively in the designated partitioned garage area may stay at no additional charge. Please contact us before booking so the correct arrangements and fee can be confirmed.

Dogs specifically approved in advance for an indoor stay are welcome with the following guidelines:

-Dogs must remain off all furniture.
-Dogs must not chew or damage furnishings.
-Dogs must be taken outside regularly.
-Dogs should not be left unattended indoors unless crated.
-Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for any pet-related damage.

Hunting Dogs & Garage Pet Area:
The designated partitioned garage area provides a convenient space for approved hunting dogs and other approved dogs that will not be staying inside the home. It is located between the guest living quarters and the private garage and can be accessed through the laundry room or the exterior garage-area door.

Guests are responsible for cleaning up pet waste, accidents, excessive hair, mud, and other pet-related messes before checkout.

Pets are not permitted inside the living quarters unless they are service animals or have been specifically approved in advance for an indoor stay.

Dogs must be supervised outdoors because neighboring properties may have chickens and other animals. Pet waste must be cleaned up promptly throughout the stay.

Additional Details:
-A large outdoor garbage bin is available for guest trash.
-Cans and cardboard may be placed in the recycling bin in the designated garage area.
-Portable or inflatable pools and other outdoor pool setups are not permitted.
-Local brochures with information about attractions, restaurants, parks, fishing, and activities are available in the home.
-A Vrbo guest information book provides helpful instructions and information about the home and surrounding area.
-The property offers a peaceful rural setting with plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature and wildlife.
