Perfectly located for World Cup visitors, this home is only about 5 minutes from the Legends/Village West area, which includes an official ConnectKC26 transportation hub for FIFA World Cup events. Guests can use the official World Cup transportation system connecting the Legends area to downtown Kansas City, the FIFA Fan Festival, and match-day transportation to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Guests should confirm final shuttle routes and schedules closer to the event.

This home offers a comfortable interior, easy highway access, and a rare outdoor setting with a huge fenced backyard, stamped concrete patio, lush landscaping, and flower gardens.

This neighborhood chose me more than I chose it. This was the very first home I purchased over 26 years ago. Not long after buying it, my career took me to Chicago, but I loved the home enough that I held onto it and turned it into a rental rather than selling it.

Over the years, I've continued to update and care for the property, but my favorite project has been the backyard garden. I've put a lot of time, effort, and love into creating a peaceful outdoor space that feels like a hidden retreat behind the gate.

It's a comfortable home with great energy, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years. 🌿🌸

The Garden Beyond the Gate is named after the backyard itself.

From the street, you would never guess what is waiting behind the fence. Over the years, I've transformed the backyard into a private garden retreat filled with flowers, landscaping, and a large stamped concrete patio designed for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

Whether you're starting the morning with a cup of coffee, reading a book in the sunshine, enjoying dinner outside, or unwinding with a glass of wine after a day exploring Kansas City, the garden is often the feature guests remember most.

The home also has a story. This was the very first house I purchased more than 26 years ago. Shortly after buying it, my career took me to Chicago and later Washington, DC, but I loved the home too much to sell it. Instead, I kept it as a rental and continued investing in it over the years.

Because of that history, this isn't a property that was purchased and quickly converted into a short-term rental. It's a home that has been cared for, improved, and enjoyed for decades.

Another unique feature is the location. Guests are just minutes from Legends shopping and dining, Sporting KC matches at Children's Mercy Park, Homefield sports complex, major highways, and Kansas City's World Cup activities, while still having a private backyard retreat to return to at the end of the day.

The combination of a beautifully updated home, convenient location, EV charging, and a hidden garden oasis is something that's difficult to find elsewhere in the area.
