Before short term rentals, my wife Paulinha and I spent more than a decade living the football journeyman life while I played professional quarterback in the Arena Football League and other leagues around the world. We lived out of suitcases, traveled constantly, and stayed in every kind of lodging imaginable.
Those experiences shaped what we now build through Pigskin Journeyman: immersive football themed homes in iconic sports towns. Our goal is to create the kind of places we always wished we could find ourselves, packed with fun amenities, sports history, and spaces designed for family and friends to genuinely enjoy time together.

One of the goals behind Pigskin Journeyman has always been to plant roots in the most iconic places tied to the history of football. That journey eventually led me to the town of Jim Thorpe, the GOAT himself.

At first, I came with no knowledge of the area, but after spending time here, exploring the historic downtown, the mountain biking trails, lakes, white water rafting, skiing/snowboarding, and everything the Pocono region has to offer, I realized this was exactly the kind of destination that needed a Pigskin Journeyman property.

When we found this home, it checked every box. The size was perfect for groups and families, the yard had the space to create a true gathering atmosphere, and access to the Bear Creek Lakes community added another layer that made the experience special.

The GOAT House was built to combine all of that into one place: football history, competition, relaxation, nostalgia, and the kind of trip people talk about long after they leave.

The GOAT House was designed to be more than just a place to sleep. The goal was to create the kind of property where guests genuinely want to spend time together instead of just using the house as a crash pad between activities.

Guests have access to the private lake community of Bear Creek Lakes, while also being just a short drive from historic downtown Jim Thorpe, hiking trails, skiing, rafting, biking, and fall foliage attractions.
Inside the house, we focused heavily on creating experiences. You’ll find themed spaces, arcade games, a cinema room, gamer lounge, gym, sauna, hot tub, fire pit, poker and game areas, and plenty of spots designed for competition, conversation, and making memories together.
