I am sharing this strictly out of principle, as no family should endure what we did. We spent our hard-earned savings for a special getaway for my daughter, our guests, and myself, hoping for a restful retreat. Instead, we were placed in an unsanitary, neglected space and felt compelled to check out early.Upon arrival, we were separated into units S and T on the opposite side of the building, despite booking unit ABCD for our group of 10. Management promised to follow up, but no one ever did.Inside, conditions were unacceptable: A heavy, overwhelming smell throughout the units Wet carpets, originally light blue but so filthy they were dark gray, forcing us to keep shoes on. Cockroaches in the kitchen, posing a real health concern. Stained, threadbare towels, and no dish soap or sponges. Rusted shower head with minimal pressure, missing lamp switch, and a broken chair with collapsing springs. Malfunctioning TVs, broken remotes, and no ocean view. Out of 9 pickleball courts, only 3 worked; the rest had cracked surfaces, fallen nets, and loose poles. The second bedroom was so neglected that out of sheer embarrassment and concern for safety, we had to book our guests a separate hotel room. Hospitality is about dignity, safety, and care. What transpired was a failure of basic maintenance and communication, ruining what was meant to be a special family moment. Future guests deserve honesty and basic human respect—neither of which was provided here. A home should be a safe
