The Le Cerase farm is an ancient fortified structure from the 1600s typical of the Apulia . Conceived as a self-sufficient agricultural center for the production of oil, wine and wheat, originally equipped with watchtowers and courtyard fences to protect livestock and crops from the incursions of Saracen pirates; Inside, there were stables, an olive press, a private church, and the farmers' homes.
