VermilionRiverCottages - Rivers Edge Cottage

This welcoming resort offers a simplistic northwoods experience. Located at the headwaters of the Vermilion River, in a great location for exploring the Vermilion River and Lake Vermilion, day trips into the Boundary Water Canoe Area, a paddle in a kayak or canoe, hiking/biking/ATVing on the many surrounding trails, and opportunities for many more adventures. Featuring a variety of cottage sizes, with a full kitchen, bathroom and room to lounge inside/outside. The kitchens include a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, silverware, dish towels, dishcloth, and hotpad. The bathrooms (1 in each cottage) includes a tub or walk in shower, toilet, sink, bathmat and toilet paper (we do not provide bath towels). All cottages have access to wi-fi, and includes a TV with a DVD player (DVD collection in our office). Each cottage has a sitting deck with a patio table/chairs, and a charcoal BBQ grill (we do not provide charcoal). Canoes and kayaks (included with a cottage rental) are available on a first come first serve basis. There are river boats for rent by 1/2 day, full day, or weekly rental rate. These boats are 16 feet long with wooden bench seats and a 15hp motor. Whether you’re gathering with family or friends (pet-friendly, with a fee), the quaint setting invites you to unwind and enjoy your time together. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays (subject to availability) to make your vacation one to remember.

Please note there is no direct access to Lake Vermilion, a public boat launch 4 miles away puts you into Norwegian Bay (West End) of Lake Vermilion.
