Our beautiful rental home "Villa Ohana" is set within lovely gardens and nestled on a mountainside with spectacular views and a sun heated pool.

There are two spacious en-suite double rooms that both have attractive window seats in the round bay windows, beautiful views and fitted wardrobes and one has bathroom with bath and shower over. The other has a fabulous new very spacious and beautifully fitted shower room. The twin-bedded room has an adjacent shower room.

There is a lovely comfortable lounge area with tv & cd player and TV System. Very comfortable and attractive suite with seating that reclines and again, spectacular views. The dining area inside also has beautiful mountain views and also looks onto the front garden. Outside the back kitchen door there is a drying area and laundry room with automatic washing machine. The beautiful new fitted kitchen has every appliance. Induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and every utensil you would want.
Wi-Fi is available free.
At the front of the rental home there is another al fresco dining area under a pergola. This overlooks the pool.
The views from here are wonderful.
To the left there are distant views towards Arrecife and the sea beyond. You can watch the cruise liners coming and going. The vista pans round a full 180 degrees to mountains and distant villages. On a clear day, through a gap in the mountains you can see the Island of Fuerteventura. Also, at the front, there is a summer house with plenty of seating where there is also a box of things for children to use in the pool.

To the right of the pool there are a few steps down to the BBQ area. There is also a large garden to the front of the house which is planted with cacti and succulents and established trees.
At the back of the house there are more pretty gardens and a parking space with a charger for electric vehicles. Charges are free of charge, but please inform us ahead.

The best location in Lanzarote!

We had amazing stay, the villa is just perfect - it's so cosy, stylish and feels like home straight away! Location is great, close to everything but still quiet and very private. If we ever come back to Lanzarote, I wouldn't even hesitate to stay here again :) Highly recommended, can't get any better.

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing 2 weeks at this villa, we felt very at home, The villa is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the kitchen is very well equipped. We had hours of fun in the heated pool which a very good size and the views from the villa are outstanding, the gardens around the villa are beautiful, I don’t think we could say anything negative about this place, we have absolutely loved our time there, the only thing we would say is that it needs table and chairs down by the BBQ, thank you for letting us stay

Lovely Villa in great location - we'll be back!

We have been to Lanzarote for a number of years but this was our first time at Liz and Nick's Villa. It is a lovely Villa with fantastic views in what we believe is one of the best locations on the island if you want to explore by car. The Villa is very well appointed and we felt 'at home' during our stay. We have no hesitation in recommending this Villa and hope to be back soon ourselves. Kevin & Bron Cook

Perfect holiday location!

This has been our 2nd time in this stunning villa. And again it has been a great holiday! The kids (9 and 4) loved the pool. And their parents especially loved the view and that the villa has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ area, a great terrace, ... to just name a few. One can tell that the owners live there a couple of weeks or months a year: we did not miss anything! The service (house and pool cleaning, WiFi, all the comms from the owners, welcome package, e.g. fruits, butter, milk, wine, etc.) is great! We stayed for three weeks and again explored the island. We love surfing - and Famara beach, a great surfing location, is just 10 minutes from the villa. Great restaurants in Caleta de Famara (El Risco) and Teguise (various locations, e.g. Cantina). Oasis de Nazaret is pretty well located: central to explore the highlights of the island, but still not too touristy. In fact it is a very quiet location. This has been our second time in Lanzarote and this villa - and definitely not our last! Thank you Liz & Nick!

Thank you for that. We spend a lot of time at the villa ourselves and it is home to us, but we love that other people, friends and family can share it when we are not there. Every time we go we spend time improving and painting and replacing whatever needs to be done so that it is always as we would want it to be. It helps that we have wonderful local people there to look after things when we are not there, for which we are most grateful.

Perfect Holiday - again!

This has been our third time in this beautiful villa – and again we enjoyed every single day! What we love most about Lanzarote is the ability to just calm down and relax from day one. And this villa with its spectacular view and all the comfort of a real home is the perfect location. Nazareth (respectively the entire North-West of the Island) is a bit off the beaten track, but still centrally located so that every area of the island is close by car. We really like this peaceful area – off the typical tourist locations like Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen (all still nearby). We are a family of four, with 2 kids (age 5 and 10). Every kid had an own bedroom, but what they of course loved the most is the pool! And the parents loved that the villa is equipped with everything you need for a perfect holiday. For example, the kitchen is really well equipped, and there is a great BBQ area. While we love the restaurants of Lanzarote, we still like to dine “at home” from time to time – and whatever you need doing so is there. One can tell that the owners live there a few months per year. Talking about restaurants: Lagomar is in walking distance (less than 5 minutes). Rather a museum at day, Lagomar is also a really good restaurant (and has a nice bar) at night. Definitely worth a try. Our other favorite restaurants are Cantina Teguise and El Risco in Famara. While this has been our third time at Lanzarote, the island still offers new things to explore. The entire family loves surfing (well, the 5 year old is starting to love it, or the first few exercises…), and Famara Beach – the perfect surfing spot in Europe - is just 10 minutes or so by car. Another favorite spot for our kids is Rancho Texas Park: a perfect mixture of a zoo and a small water park. We really enjoyed the shows (dolphins, see lions, and birds of prey). And of course Lanzarote offers a lot more tourist attractions. We will definitely be back! And can highly recommend the villa!

Thank you Andreas, for taking the time to write a review. It means a great deal to Liz and I , to know that people feel the same about the villa and Lanzarote, as we do ourselves. You are correct, we do spend 3 months here every winter, not just to relax and enjoy it, but to do the maintenance and inevitable work that is needed to keep things as we like them. I sadly had to turn down a really good booking only yesterday, because they wanted to come during our time here, but we feel it is important that we do not become absentee landlords. So many villas that we experienced, many years ago, before we had our own, were just holiday lets, not at all homely or welcoming so you would not want to return. We are delighted that you and many more families return again and again and we are most grateful for that and want it to continue. Reviews are also very helpful to prospective visitors. There are so many wonderful things to do and see on the island and until you have hired a car and done a bit of exploring, you don't know how beautiful and varied the island can be. Fabulous Villa in Stunning Location

Web site would not let us enter October 2013 as arrival date. We (a party of 5 adults) stayed at Otra Aventura for 2 weeks in October 2013, and are returning later this year. The booking process was very straight forward with enquiries/questions being promptly answered. This is a really excellent villa, hence our return. The location is superb, situated at the end of a cul de sac in a quiet residential area of Oasis de Nazaret. It is very quiet and peaceful with wonderful views across the countryside to volcanoes and the coast (and Fuertaventura) in the distance. The outside area around the pool, summerhouse and BBQ (I would personally prefer a gas one as I dont get on with charcoal!) is very private and not at all overlooked. There is a good small supermarket in Nazaret (2 minutes in the car, 5 minutes walk), and a large supermarket on the main road into Arricife (10 minutes drive), or on the Costa Teguise to Arricife road (15 minutes drive). Because of its rural location you do need a car, but because it is situated more or less in the centre of the island nowhere is more than 45 minutes away. Nearest beach is Costa Teguise a 15 minute drive. There are a number of beaches there, our favourite is Jabillo - a small beach but with a large car park adjacent and excellent for snorkelling. A useful welcome pack is provided with a variety of goodies - milk, butter, tea, coffee etc. The villa is very well equipped (we had all we needed and more) and spacious. It does very much have the appearance and feel of a family home rather than a holiday let. A man comes to service the pool once a week, and Maria takes care of the cleaning. We found tourist attractions in Lanzarote to be reasonably priced. Timanfaya is a must. We also liked the experience of a black sand beach at/near El Golfo, and the nearby Los Hervideros sea caves and blow holes. An short evening stroll for a beer at Lag O Mar is well worth it - entrance free (you have to pay for a daytime look around).

Many thanks for this extensive review which will be very helpful to new visitors. Since your last visit we have made a few more improvements which I hope you enjoy. We have also changed the pool cleaner!! Regarding car hire, I know it is too late for this coming visit, but for the future, its worth remembering that we have a great arrangement with a company who will have the car waiting at the airport, in a designated parking bay with the keys inside. you just drive to the villa and he will pop up to the villa and collect payment the next day. It avoids all the wasted time in a queue and doing the paperwork at the airport. (charges 70 Euros per week) Regards, Liz & Nick

Un superbe choix pour visiter Lanzarote

Les photos de la location sont fidèles à la réalité : la maison est superbe, l'endroit est très calme. Notre séjour s'est fait fin Avril-début mai et l'eau de la piscine était déjà très bonne pour se baigner.La maison dispose de tous les équipements les plus agréables en vacances : lave-linge et lave-vaisselle, vaisselle en quantité suffisante, Wifi, TV avec Netflix.

Une magnifique maison !

Nous avons passé des vacances très agréables à Nazareth. La maison est très confortable, très bien équipée, avec une vue magnifique. La piscine est grande et chauffée et appréciée au retour de balades à Lanzarote qui est une île magnifique ! Et en cas de besoin les propriétaires sont très disponibles pour répondre à nos questions. Si nous revenons à Lanzarote nous y retournerons sans hésiter !

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique dans cette maison qui correspond en tous points à la description donnée. Nik et Liz sont plein d'attentions, une bouteille de vin nous attentait à notre arrivée ainsi que de quoi préparer une collation pour le diner et aussi le petit déjeuner! La vue de la piscine est splendide et le mobilier extérieur très agréable. Nous avons évidemment profité de la proximité de Lagomar. Merci encore. J'espère que nous pourrons revenir l'an prochain. Une semaine délicieuse !

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans cette belle maison, très spacieuse, au calme et bien équipée. Le décor est magnifique, la vue depuis les terrasses très reposante, les chambres (un petit bémol pour les matelas) et les salles de bain sont vastes et luxueuses. Vu l'espace, chacun y trouve sa place, 3 salons, 1salle à manger, une immense cuisine avec tous les ustensiles et électro-ménagers, un barbecue sous une terrasse couverte, ce qui nous a permis de dîner dehors malgré les soirées fraîches de novembre. La piscine est chauffée et bien exposée, ce qui est bien utile en cette saison pour profiter du soleil. Bref, ce fût une semaine de bonheur dans cette merveilleuse île encore préservée (si on évite les grandes stations balnéaires) du tourisme de masse. Rien n'est loin, le parc des volcans, la côte, Téguise pour y dénicher un agréable resto et flâner sur le marché du dimanche. A notre arrivée, les lits étaient faits, il y avait des serviettes de bain et de plage en suffisance et la maison était d'une propreté irréprochable. Le nettoyage final est inclus dans le prix de la location et vu la superficie, c'est un plus indéniable ;-) La villa est parfaite pour accueillir des grandes familles avec enfants ou des groupes d'amis. A conseiller sans modération !
