RedHouseNL, Lane 21 Castella, est une belle maison en bord de mer confortable perché sur les falaises de Pouch Cove Terre-Neuve, avec vue sur la N Atlantique. A l'étage, il dispose de 2 chambres (lits queen) avec une vue incroyable sur l'océan, un petit coin salon pour le café ou la lecture avec une vue et une salle de bains complète avec baignoire / douche. En bas se trouve une cuisine entièrement équipée, salon avec poêle à bois, une «étude» avec des livres et un futon pleine taille qui peut déplier pour une 5ème personne, et une deuxième salle de bain hors de l'étude avec une cabine de douche. Le salon est lumineux, ouvert et spacieux, offrant une vue incroyable sur l'océan. Sur le côté de la salle de séjour est une salle à manger avec grande table rustique idéal pour les repas, les jeux et oserais-je dire le travail ?!
La maison possède également une grande terrasse à l'arrière, avec 4 chaises Adirondack pour profiter du paysage et peut-être apercevoir des baleines et des dauphins de croisière par. Une plate-forme latérale de la salle à manger est équipée de chaises 2 longues pour plus de la même!
Pas de East Coast Trail. Courte distance en voiture des plages locales. 25 minutes du centre-ville de St-Jean.

We enjoyed this perfect location for sitting on the edge of the rocks and watching and listening to the ocean .Lots of trails to hike and also being close to St Johns for a more busier day. The front deck was our favorite place, to relax and read and just sit.

Didn’t want to leave!

This stay exceeded my expectations! The home is clean, very comfortable and charming. The hosts have thought of everything. We felt at home right away. But the view and the location are so beautiful you can hardly leave the deck. We absolutely loved our time there and would return again in a heartbeat!

Lovely Place in Pouch Cove

This was a great place to stay on the Avalon Peninsula. The cottage was immaculate with a terrific ocean view. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. Close to St. John's, hiking trails and nature.

Top 10 most beautiful place on earth

The Red House is a gift to your soul. The peacefulness envelopes you upon arrival. The views off of the back deck and surrounding community are breathtaking. The house itself has everything you could possibly need. It’s so comfortable and inviting. The hostess Kelly was so thoughtful and kin. I can’t say enough.

Comfortable, peaceful house overlooking the sea

This was our second stay at the Red House and as delightful as the first. The house is light and calming and generously equipped with everything you could possibly need. Proximity to St John’s and the Irish loop is a plus but the highlight is coming ‘home’ to enjoy sitting on the deck - with a book, a coffee, a glass of wine, binoculars to take in the birds and the whales. Thanks again to Kelly for her warm welcome - we hope to be back again.

Perfect Getaway

Had a stay in mid September--lots of amazing weather to experience: hot, cool, stormy, calm, hazy, crisp. Enjoyed the deck and sun and the cozy fireplace. So close to the East Coast Trail for great hikes. Had friends come for some meals and it was a great space to visit and enjoy. It feels remote yet safe. Really comfy beds--but older or little folks might want a step ladder to climb into them! Kelly and Chris were so welcoming and understanding about a hiccup with VRBO. It's a wonderful home in a perfect location. I would definitely come again!

Attention to detail was amazing. Ample coffee, tea, sugar etc. Amazingly outfitted home lacking nothing. We were greeted by Kelly who was always available if we had a question… A brilliant place, clean and well laid out … Highly recommend it as a place to stay… Five Stars

Could not have been better

If you want a nice house on a nice property in a nice town and a friendly responsive owner, this is a the house for you. The views in every direction are breathtaking. Pouch Cove is a very walkable small town with friendly people. The house is very well equipped including extra jackets and Bose bluetooth speakers that I paired with my phone daily. A shout out to Sharon who did a fantastic job of cleaning the house before our arrival. My only regret is that our stay wasn't longer.

Icebergs, whales, eagle…Oh My!

Thank you Chris and Kelly. The Red House was perfect!! We enjoyed our evenings by the fire and watching the whales and icebergs from the deck. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen so we could spend several evenings cooking dinner and relaxing after beautiful hikes that we walked to from the house. Grateful for all of your recommendations and hospitality!!

It was a spectacular view of the ocean. We managed to see many whales, and iceberg from far away. The property itself was very comfortable and very cozy. Kelly who welcomed us was amazing and easy to reach. Overall, we had a great vacation and looking forward to coming back.

Cozy house, great view, all the amenities

We enjoyed our stay at the red house. The views were fantastic (when the fog cleared), the house was cozy and well equipped, beds were super comfortable, the only thing we didn't have was lobster crackers! Pouch Cove is pretty much the last stop heading north on the Avalon Peninsula, so it's pretty quiet, exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. Thanks to Chris and Kelly for a great stay.

Home away from home

The Red House was really a home away from home. We loved every minute there. The house had everything we could have wished for. We had a little hurricane for 2 days and were just watching the weather and the sea from a very comfortable living room. We can highly recommend a stay there and will come back for sure.

Spectacular views and people!

Nothing quite prepares you for the stunning views of the ocean! Everything about this vacation property was perfect for our family. It is located far enough away from everything else to provide a great getaway but, it is close enough to Pouch Cove and a short drive to St John’s. Bonus, the East Coast trail is within walking distance and definitely recommend for the views! The owners Kate and Chris are fantastic people and communicators! They were always quick to respond to any questions we had and let us in on where to pick wild blueberries. With respect to the Red House…well, what can I say? Spectacular views and although old is modernized, clean and everything works! Throughly enjoyed our stay and was regretfully too short! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The Red House has such a Breathtaking view and so Peaceful. Perfect place for home base.

Completely happy with The Red House. Everything was so clean, all our needs were thought out, such as blankets available to use while relaxing on the deck. The ocean view is beautiful. And picking blueberries while hiking the East Coast Trail, everything was perfect. We will be back!!

Stunning setting, beautiful accommodations

This is such a sweet house! It's beautiful, very clean, and even the knives are sharp!! Everything about it is lovely. We had a nightmare travel story (Toronto airport, enough said.) But the house and our vacation experience made it worth the stress of getting to Newfoundland and getting back home to Michigan. I truly hope to reserve this spot again and check out more of the East Coast Trail, which is within walking distance and truly phenomenal. Well done!!

Heaven on earth!! Amazing property, beautiful home, peaceful location.

We absolutely loved our stay at the red house. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway and close enough to St Johns for the Newfoundland experience. We mostly focused on hiking and the East Coast trail can’t be beat ! It was so nice to come back to the red house after a day of hiking. Waking up to an amazing sunrise with coffee to relaxing on the deck with a glass if wine.. heaven on earth. Chris and Kelley are amazing hosts and answered all of our questions and even had great suggestions for the area. We will definitely plan a return trip

Red House Rocks

If you want an incredibly comfortable stay in some beautiful Newfoundland surroundings -- this is the place. Red House has everything you need for your stay and is located in a perfect spot. St. Johns and great places on the Avalon peninsula are all close by. But the best part is just sitting on the deck and looking out at the awesome view. Whales, seabirds, cliffs and awesome sunrises and sunsets. Just taking it all in from the deck. Fantastic place!

The Red House

The Red House is fully and very comfortably furnished. It is perfect for nesting on a stormy day, for basking in sunshine on the deck or for launching a day of hiking surrounded by truly breathtaking views from every window. There was a stash of paperbacks and a pile of videos for our entertainment. There were treats on our arrival. Hosts Chris and Kelly were very attentive. Chris answered email questions promptly. Kelly visited on our first full day to make sure we had everything we needed. Pouch Cove is close enough to St John's for shopping, dining out or visiting The Rooms, but also a great starting point for hikes and drives north and west. We highly recommend staying at The Red House.

I take pride in my property and am responsive to any of my renters needs. The Red House is fully furnished and has all the amenities of home to make your stay comfortable, cozy and revitalizing!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This property is special and you will understand the minute you walk inside. The view of the ocean is mesmerizing! From the vastness of the water to the waves crashing on the cliffs, you will not be able to look away! The sunrises are spectacular along with the occasional whale sightings, many different birds and of course icebergs. Even at night, when it is totally dark, you can hear and feel the ocean. The fresh ocean air is wonderful!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The house is extremely cozy and comfortable inside. I like the winter season the best with the wood stove going and watching it snow outside. It's a great escape! During the summer, the back deck is the place to be. Four adirondack chairs facing the ocean keep you and your favourite beverage occupied for hours!
