You're in Newport's scenic Yachting Village—12 Goodwin Street puts you right by the harbor with stunning water views and easy access to everything! Steps from Newport Harbor marinas, sailing action, and waterfront paths; short walk to Thames Street's buzzing restaurants, bars, live music, shops, and Bowen's Wharf. Safe, relaxed neighborhood with coastal charm—festivals, yachting vibes, historic feels all around. Beaches and mansions are a quick drive, but the walkable harbor-town energy is addictive—no car needed for daily adventures!


Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will receive an email the morning of their arrival with the instructions, codes to the doors and Wifi. Super easy!

Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of our guests.

Comes with two on-site parking space.

The Perfect Newport Stay

I absolutely loved my stay at 12 Goodwin Street. Newport is one of my favorite places, and the location was perfect I could walk everywhere, but still felt tucked away from all the activity. The house was comfortable, charming and really felt like home while I was there. Windward Suites was wonderful to work with and made everything so easy. I was genuinely sad to leave and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

True Delight

What a great place on a quiet street off of the popular Thames St with off street parking. Near famous tourist areas, wharfs with great shops plus awesome restaurants & bars. Extremely clean & homey. Did not find a speck of dirt! Nicely furnished with quality furnishing, art, kitchen supplies, bed & linens. Management was available for calls during the booking process all through the checkout. Couldn't ask for a better experience!!

Loved it!

The place was spotless, beautifully decorated and in the perfect location. Quiet….but close enough to walk to all the bars and restaurants. The fact that you could park your car in the driveway was a huge plus. Will be back for sure.

Our stay was fantastic. The cottage location was perfect- close to Thames Street but far enough away (1 block) where we did not hear the noise from the hustle and bustle of all the activity. We were walking distance to shopping, entertainment, dining, the bay, and the cruise companies. Additionally, the cottage was a quick 5-10 minute drive to some of Newport's sought after attractions. The cottage was well prepared and very clean. The cottage was stocked with all the essentials needed for our stay. The outdoor patio provided a serene sitting location for morning coffee or afternoon/evening beverages and just relaxing. For those who need to stay connected, the WiFi worked flawlessly and there is a Roku TV. Communication with Keith and Matt was seamless and they were very responsive. Check-in and checkout instructions were simple. I recommend this property to any one who is looking for a quaint getaway with access to all the downtown excitement while providing quiet from the same excitement when back at the cottage. We are looking forward to a return trip.

Perfect Getaway

This apartment is the perfect getaway for either a long weekend or a week long stay. The apartment itself was nicely decorated with plenty of room. The kitchen was large and cooking would be no problem. The location really can’t be beat! You are downtown on a VERY quiet street. You can park your car (Yes! It has a driveway!) and walk to all the local attractions and restaurants. The owners were very responsive to questions! We will be back in August in the upstairs unit and can’t wait.

Memorial Day Trip

My girlfriend and I booked this place for an anniversary gift for a get away. We could not have been more happy with the place. The location was just what we were looking for. The place was very clean and cozy. We had a great time would definitely recommend it. We are looking forward to booking it again in the future.
