The Space:

Barefoot Cottage offers multiple inviting living areas where guests can spread out yet remain connected, from the bright main living room with vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and warm hardwood floors on the upper level to additional lounge spaces perfect for movie nights or quiet conversation on the lower level. Large windows throughout fill the rooms with natural light, creating an airy and welcoming atmosphere. A charming window-lined dining nook invites shared meals and conversation, while the fully stocked kitchen provides everything needed to prepare meals with ease. A convenient kitchenette adds extra space for snacks and drinks, making it easy for everyone to gather and relax after a day at the beach.



Guests will find 6 comfortable bedrooms thoughtfully arranged across two levels, offering bright, restful spaces for families and groups to unwind after a day at the beach. Each room is designed with relaxed coastal charm and plenty of natural light, creating peaceful retreats for a restful night’s sleep.

The home features 3 full bathrooms and one half bath, expertly designed to provide comfort and convenience for larger groups. Guests will find a mix of bright, updated spaces including a walk-in marble shower, a full bath with tub and shower combination, and stylish vanities throughout. Fresh towels and essentials are provided to make your stay easy and comfortable. A convenient laundry area with a washer and dryer is also available for guest use, perfect for refreshing beach towels and clothing after a day by Lake Michigan.



Outside, Barefoot Cottage offers a private backyard retreat designed for fun times in the fresh lake air. Spend sunny afternoons by the private pool, unwind in the hot tub after a day at the beach, or lounge beneath the covered patio where comfortable seating and a mounted TV create the perfect space for outdoor movie nights and game watching. The upper-level deck provides an additional outdoor space to relax, while the gas grill makes BBQs easy and enjoyable. An outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after sandy beach days, and 2 golf carts are provided for guest use, making it easy to explore Grand Beach.



Barefoot Cottage is ideally located in the charming lakeside community of Grand Beach, just steps from the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. Guests can enjoy easy access to the beach for swimming, sunbathing, and sunset walks along the shoreline. The area also offers a public golf course, tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, and scenic walking and biking paths. Just a short drive away, explore the restaurants, breweries, boutiques, and marina in nearby New Buffalo, or visit the many wineries, breweries, and farm markets throughout Southwest Michigan. Popular local attractions include Warren Dunes State Park, Galien River County Park, local golf courses, boating and fishing on Lake Michigan, seasonal festivals, and charming small towns filled with shops and dining.



Other Things to Note:

To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.



All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.



The minimum age to rent this home is 25.



A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.



The pool is currently undergoing a liner replacement and will not be available for use until Memorial Day.

The pool is seasonal and will be open from Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day. Specific Open and closure dates are scheduled by the local pool vendor.



We welcome up to 2 dogs at this home at no additional charge. Please include the number of pets you plan to bring or let our team know after booking. 



Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
