This home was wonderful. We had a quick family get together over the weekend. There were 10 of us, and the dining table fit us all! We did some hiking, played games, and watched the bears that came by. I would highly recommend this home.

Very clean and as others stated, very well stocked in the kitchen. It was so nice to have plenty of areas to sit around and visit -- fire pit, hot tub (very clean), wrap around deck, outside table, pool table. Beautiful view, even in the summer with leaves on the trees! I would highly recommend this cabin rental.

Wonderful Home!!!

We had an amazing time - this home was spacious and the pictures don't do the beauty justice! We loved our time here and had plenty of space for our group of 15!

Amazing House!

The house was beautiful and as described! Had a well stocked kitchen to make family meals and enough space to spread out! Everything was well stocked and thought out! Would stay here again!

We had a great stay in Black Mountain. The home was perfect for our three families. It was spacious, comfortable, and very clean inside. The neighborhood is beautiful and made for a wonderful getaway.The only reason for not giving five stars is that the property's exterior appeared to be mid-project during our stay, with construction materials visible and some outdoor work unfinished. Since it was rainy, it didn’t affect us much, but it would have likely impacted our enjoyment of the outdoor spaces had the weather been nicer.We were also interested in purchasing additional hours before checkout and made our request about 10 days in advance, but unfortunately were unable to get confirmation either way, which made planning difficult.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the home to larger groups visiting the area.

Family reunion

The home was wonderful. It met all of our expectations and accommodated rooms for all 14 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and dining needs. The surrounding mountains were beautiful. I have no complaints.

Nice mountain home

Lovely house, several areas to spread out. Only suggestions I'd make is to have more seating in the main living area, for those times everyone wants to be together. House is very clean. Enjoyed having hiking trails nearby

Birthday/ Superbowl Weekend

This cozy-modern cabin was like a dream. We had everything we needed. I could get used to staying here long-term. The kitchen had the best appliances and cookware. It was everything it claimed to be and more.

Family Reunion

The house was amazing! Clean perfect for our 12 people. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked even a crock pot. If you need a place to accommodate a large group this is your place. The hosts responded quickly when we asked questions. Thank you for the perfect weekend!

Sibs reunion

Awesome house on top of mountain with sweeping views of gorgeous fall color. All 5 siblings (with spouses) had king beds. That’s hard to find in a VRBO. We enjoyed day trips. Each evening we preferred to cook our dinner and sit by the fire pit and stare at the full moon.

Perfect for family time

The house was exactly how it was described and had something for all of our group which was from 1 to 60. The basement was perfect for the kids in our group as well as all the games on the second floor. There was enough space for the 12 of us and we were able to spend time with our family. We even took advantage of the hiking in the neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the house had plenty of cooking supplies. We would definitely be back!

Log Home

The Log home was in a beautiful setting and well maintained. The home was large and comfortably held our family of 16 with 8 adults, and 8 children under 10. The nearest restaurant is 25-30 minutes away so we cooked all our meals in house. The home was well equipped with preparing and cooking utensils, and a large table to seat everyone for all meals. The accommodations were well thought out, and excellent especially for the kids sleeping arrangement. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to vacation.

lovely house, lovely location

Honestly i didn't leave the house the whole weekend, so i don't know the area, but the house itself was perfect. Very clean, very spacious. The media room with the giant tv was a big cozy hang out spot. The hot tub was great, we all used it. The fire pit was very cozy as well. I also appreciated how private it was, we couldn't see or hear any neighbors. There was just so much space for everyone, from the dining room table to the 3 different living room areas. We used to kitchen a lot too, so many things were provided. The only thing we had to bring was a coffee grinder. We'd love to come back again someday.

Great place for a family reunion

This very spacious house was the perfect place for a family reunion of siblings and their spouses. 13 adults (ages 60-76) had plenty of space to be together while also having privacy with the 7 individual, large, comfortable bedrooms, most with in suite bathrooms. The kitchen had LOTS of plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, etc. and the appliances were all immaculate. The deck and firepit were real plusses and there is great hiking right in the area. The owner/manager responded very quickly and solved the one minor problem we encountered. (They were also great at responding to all our questions ahead of our rental time.) Given the distance from any town or store, we planned carefully and had all the food and food prep items we needed. The kitchen does have basic food prep items. The Wifi worked well as did our cell service. We absolutely will consider this house for a future reunion. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful location, large cabin with potential for being perfect!

The location was wonderful. Close enough to commute to Asheville while far enough to have remote cabin views. The cabin itself is new with some signs of its newness as a rental property. Some issues stood out but the managers are quick to respond so far as to even sending maintenance out same day. (We had a minor shower leak into the floor below due to plumbing settling) This is a cabin in the woods, so there were a few bugs to deal with. If look around or are OCD, there are a handful of signs show this was a "let's hurry up, get this place finished, and rented out". However, for a property that's only a few months old (per the guest book) these issues will be sorted in no time by Michael the manager. We look forward to another potential stay in the future and are excited for all that this Catawba Falls Cabin will become!

We do aspire to provide the best experience possible for all renters at Laurel Creek Falls. To this end, we appreciate and are addressing the concerns and issues you said you experienced. As mentioned, the shower leak was fixed within hours of you reporting it. Yes, this is a cabin in the mountains so there will be a few ladybugs around. This is a natural spring occurrence in the mountains, especially in a new log home. The owner does have a monthly maintenance contract with Terminex for pest control. The owner spent months and much thought getting this cabin ready for guests. I assure you this was no "hurry up and rent" situation. Thanks again for staying and for your feedback. Great space for a large family getaway in a hiking community.

We recently stayed at this property with a very large family. The set up of 5 king bedrooms and bunk rooms for the kids accommodated both the adults and kids who all had a comfortable place to sleep. The upstairs bedrooms had very large closet spaces that were perfect for pack and plays without compromising room space. Also, the kitchen--while small for a house that holds so many people--was completely stocked with serving ware for a family of 17, which included multiple kids plates, cups, and utensils. For this, I am forever grateful. We did have a few small issues, but the property manager was completely responsive and they were resolved before they were ever really issues. Getting to and from the property was simple on completely paved roads. Also, the community itself has multiple hiking trails, including one right off the back of the property. The theatre room was a hit for the kids and we all enjoyed nights around the firepit roasting marshmallows and catching fireflies. We would definitely stay here again.
