Old Town La Quinta awaits with its great restaurants, bars, boutiques, and farmers market. The best nature trail in the desert (Fred Wolff Bear Creek) is just around the corner! Enter the gates of Casa Chillon into a beautiful desert courtyard with mature cactus gardens and a glistening swimming pool. Evening star watching invites year-round, just as the California desert offers festivals, sporting events, and cultural activities all year long.

The home celebrates earthy aesthetics, Spanish-style accents, and charm. Enjoy brand-new custom drapes throughout the home, luxurious new beds and linens, and an open-concept living and dining area with a fireplace and a well-stocked kitchen. The spacious floor plan provides for a luxurious master bed/bath and a great second suite. Casa Chillon is a peaceful, charming, and romantic home, the perfect escape from daily living. The latest WiFi-connected Smart TVs are available too.

We really liked the location, cleanliness and pool area. The pictures online did not depict that the master bedroom and bathroom are one room. That was weird, inconvenient and deserves being stated. If we had 4 guests instead of just a couple it would have been a huge issue!!

Great place. Two areas for improvement, WiFi pretty weak, and an option to pay more for turning pool heater on would make it perfect. Having said that we loved the place and would stay again.

Nice and quiet neighborhood close to trails. The communication with vacasa was easy and prompt. November was too cold to enjoy the pool. House has old world charm, kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great for small families!

We loved the private pool and living area for the kids to do their own thing. I would have liked a better BBQ and a heated pool but for the price this house is legit!! It was very clean and with a washer/dryer, perfect!

Casa Chillon was perfect for us. Quiet neighborhood, deep in La Quinta, Mountain views, and a great small pool. Great set up and all the basics covered, plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets, very cute and useful dishware. We will book again!

Comfortable and full of character.

We loved our stay in this cozy home. Loved that it was so close to the gorgeous mountains and fun hikes right out the door. We attended the tennis with our friends and this home was perfectly located. The delicious caramels were a sweet surprise.

We stayed in this house during spring break with our 2 college age kids. It worked great. We cooked multiple meals and the kitchen was very well stocked. Also, nice pool area and grill.

In the heart of golf country

A fabulous location - quiet neighborhood, close to PGA West golf courses, and convenient to many sight-seeing adventures in the surrounding areas. The property was well maintained, clean and kitchen supplied with many essentials plus some.

We have been vacationing in the desert for over 30 years and have found the most glorious, uniquely gorgeous home to rent. This charming desert hideaway with fabulous three-way mountain views, refreshing pool, and amenity-full kitchen provided everthing to make our visit perfect. Truly one of a kind. Second time staying here.

This was our second time staying here. Love how cute and cozy the home is. Fully loaded kitchen. It has everything you need to cook. Pool is a good size and clean. Only thing I did not like was they’re was hair on the bed sheets. I did reach out and they were quick to respond. Also the dryer took long to dry. It took almost two hrs to dry a small load. But other than that I would recommend and would love to come back and again.

Cute getaway

We came down for a week to go to the horseshow in Thermal. The house is very cute, clean, fully equipped. The master/bath is a little weird, but the showers are gorgeous. The beds are a little soft, so if you prefer a firmer mattress, just a heads up. The pool was beautiful; but I wished there was an option to heat it, because it was a little chilly! Overall, we really enjoyed this space. Great view of the mountains from the pretty backyard. Hummingbirds will come to visit, and you'll enjoy how quiet it is.

Dirty and Dated

Check in process is difficult with this rental. They stated no early check-in is allowed from this owner due to cleaning being done. We were staying in the rental for Stagecoach which made it near impossible to see most of Friday's show which is extremely frustrating. Then we enter the only to find sticky floors in the kitchen and master bath, when people took their shoes off the socks were black from walking on the floor which is absolutely disgusting! The home is dated and clearly not looked after properly. We could not access the house via the garage because the prior renters broke the garage door which meant we had to navigate a very steep driveway and steep uneven walk through the front door. They had a week to get the garage door fixed but choose not to with us only receiving a voicemail 3 day's prior. There were 4 of us staying at the rental, they gave us 3 bath towels that's it not something that most rentals do so not only were we short a towel we had no back up, we had to purchase a towel at the store. Spilled a small amount of water from a water bottle on the floor in the dining area and the paper towel came back black so gross, corners of rooms had visible dirt in them, master bath toilet seat was broken overall the house was dirty and dated. Don't stay here!
