This recently updated home is situated in the picturesque Mission Lakes Country Club. With two private patios and an outdoor grill, the house is perfect for entertaining in the California sunshine. Drive 12 miles to discover eclectic shopping and dining in downtown Palm Springs. Trek to Joshua Tree National Park for rock climbing, hiking, and biking among desert landscapes. Step inside the open living area, where modern decor adds chic sophistication. After a day exploring downtown Palm Springs, kick back on the four-seat couch and lounge chair with ottoman to watch favorite shows on the 40in flat-screen TV with Roku streaming capabilities (Netflix and Amazon Prime included).

The chef in your group will love getting creative in the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Gather for meals at a dining table set for four. Fire up the grill and come together in your pick of the open-air dining spaces -- each with seating for four. Sip cocktails in the outdoor living area with ample seating for the whole family.

The primary suite is a relaxing hideaway with a California king bed, large closet, and TV with Roku streaming capabilities (Netflix and Amazon Prime included) and Xbox. Oasis in the Desert

We had a great stay in this lovely house in the desert. It's very open and spacious. Just be careful to ask if the pool is open first, as it was closed during our stay.

Quiet neighborhood to recharge

The bed was comfortable as was the sofa in the living room. We also enjoyed having footstools to watch the large tv . The kitchen has many amenities but we could not get the dishwasher to work. It does accept pets, but the yard is not completely fenced.

Great location in the Palm Springs Desert

This home is roomy and in a very quiet neighbourhood. The bathroom and kitchen renovations are quite nice looking. The access into Palm Springs is very direct and quick. There are lots of things to do in P.S. Joshua Tree Nat'l Park is an easy drive, with access to Walmart and a number of large stores enroute. The hiking and driving throughout the park should not be missed.

Nice house, Uncomfortable Beds

Location great for our family to stay during thanksgiving. House has alot of charm and character. It was clean but had that cleaner smell that is tough on sensitive noses. The major complaint was that we really were using the house to sleep and clean up. If the beds are uncomfortable, which these were cheap and older, then I just can’t give a higher rating. Update the mattresses and the house could be worth it.

Home is adequate 20-30 minutes to Palm Springs and palm desert

first impression master bedroom carpet was filthy. Odd house no wall or curtain on shower so floor gets soaked. Master only has tub. Don't use jets as they will make the water disgusting. Would have been nice to have some local recommendations for grocery and restaurants as I have seen in most vrbo places. TiVo in living room always said it had no signal was able to watch Netflix got local channels on it once. Tvs in bedroom worked fine. Wifi is very weak lose signal when bedroom door is closed. Pool/hot tub are at the country club about a mile away. I prefer to be able to stay where I can walk to pool. You will need to buy everything you need. There were a couple keirig cups and salt and pepper. Not much in desert hot springs but 20 minutes to Palm Springs. Quiet neighborhood comfy beds.

Disappointing first experience with VRBO/Vacasa

This is an older home located in the Mission Lakes area. It is a quiet residential neighbourhood that presented no causes for concern during our two week stay. We selected this home because of its proximity to the golf course and to be near friends. There is nothing about this home that is “chic”, “modern”, “posh” or “upgraded” as stated in the description on the website. Not sure there is cable TV as we were only able to get about 4 channels. This home is shabby, inside and out, including the furnishings and home dĂ©cor. It is plainly evident that the interior of the home has not been updated in many years. Not only are the furnishings old, they are a hodgepodge of mismatched items and decorations leaving one with the distinct impression that they were purchased at a garage sale. The feather-stuffed sofa had an odd cover on it, and for good reason. Looking under the cover one could see the dirty and dilapidated state of the sofa; furthermore it is leaking feathers at a rapid rate. On the surface the home met the minimum standards for cleanliness. The morning of 9 Nov 2016 we received an email from Vacasa saying that we would not be able to check in early because the cleaning crew was not finished the cleaning. We arrived at the home about 3:30 pm and were upset to see the general condition of the home. There were dead insects on the carpet in the master bedroom, the patio door tracks were filthy, and the garage stunk due to overflowing garbage and recycle containers. Linens On a positive note there were lots of towels and they are of good quality. However, some of the other linens such as bed sheets and the master bedroom duvet did not appear to be clean or in good repair so we chose not to use them. Patios This home has three patio areas, which similar to the interior of the home, are furnished with old, odd and mismatched pieces. The state of the patios was disgusting. Given the cobwebs, dried leaves, etc. it is evident that the area has not been cleaned in some time. The fabric cover on the cushions on one piece of furniture basically disintegrated when my husband sat down on it, ruining his pants and shirt. The walkway from the back patio to the front through the gate was literally covered in bird poop. Sylvia from Vacasa personally came and picked up the garbage but no one came to clean up the patio areas and we ended up hosing them down ourselves. We would not recommend this property.
