Dog Friendly Iconic Krisel home w/fantastic pool, spa, firepit & mountain views

Designed by the renowned architect William Krisel and featured in the 2018 Palm Springs Modernism Week home tour, this gorgeous mid-century home provides a spectacular setting for your next getaway to the desert. This four-bedroom retreat, which sits at the base of the mountains in the storied neighborhood of Vista Las Palmas, was recently renovated from top to bottom, preserving the original integrity and style of the house while enhancing its comfort and privacy. Enjoy 10-foot ceilings, uniquely assembled pieces of art, and floor-to-ceiling windows that bring commanding views of the mountains indoors. Outside, a private saltwater pool and a gas grill await, allowing you to spend your days lounging in the sun, and dining al fresco amid lighted landscaping.

At night, you'll find three bedrooms in the main part of the house - a master suite with a king-size bed and a spa-like bathroom (including a shower that connects to the outdoors), a second bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a third bedroom with two twin beds. The fourth bedroom suite is located in a separate wing, offering a king-size bed and amazing views of the mountains.

WHAT'S NEARBY
This home is located in Vista Las Palmas, a renowned neighborhood adjacent to downtown Palm Springs that's famous for its beautiful homes and celebrity appeal. You'll be an easy walk from Palm Canyon Drive (three-quarters of a mile east), which is lined with some of the best restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and nightlife in the desert, and a few minutes' drive from a wide assortment of world-class golf courses. If you're looking to take in a spectacular view of your surroundings, be sure to take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway only six miles west.

THINGS TO KNOW
-Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
-The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

-Please note that hot tub heat is independent of the pool heat and turned on and off per use via a controller

Peace and Quiet in Old Las Palmas

My tiny family of three plus pup needed a quiet get away, and Palm Springs is always a top 2 choice. But grabbing a home for the weekend is always a gamble. The Krisel home exceeded all expectations. The home and yard are spectacular, in a quiet neighborhood where everyone walks their dogs, everyone smiles and waves, and life is slow and calm. We could not have asked for anything more. We are grateful. See you soon. xoxox

Great house but management could be better

I really, really liked this house. Great location, really nicely designed interiors, clean on the inside, comfortable bedding, kitchen had everything we needed. I've probably stayed in 8-10 houses in this neighborhood, so I've seen a lot. I loved the polished concrete floors and tiles. Really nice taste. On the other hand, the management company was quite bad. We showed up and there were dried up branches all along the back of the yard. It seemed pretty obvious that no one had checked on the house the day we checked in. When we tried to inquire about turning up the heat on the pool, I spent an hour texting / on broken-up phone calls with what seemed like a rules-driven corporation who wasn't local (not like a team who is just trying to make sure I had a good stay). I realize I sound like a whiny guest, but I swear I generally am not. I just wanted to make sure the owner knew, since I really did like the house.

Amazing house
everything we wanted

If you want to stay in an amazing home with a fantastic backyard, swimming pool, hot tub, comfortable beds, a very well stocked kitchen, AND just a 10 minute walk to downtown Palm Springs, then look no further. Booking was easy and efficient, management company was great to work with, and the house was very clean upon arrival. We can’t wait to come back.

Viva Las Palmas!

This home is in the perfect location to walk to nearly every place I want to visit in PS. The house has lots of room, indoors and out, views of the mountains from the house and pool and is just about perfect in every way. Two large en-suite bedrooms at either end of the house, plus two additional bedrooms make this a great choice for multiple families. And the house is very very comfortable indoors and out. We loved our stay and would be happy to return.

This is a fantastic house in Palm Springs. We are a family of 4 (2 kids) and we had another friend couple stay with us. The house is modern, has a ton of natural light and has a great backyard. The views of the mountain are beautiful from inside the house and from the backyard.

The house is immaculate. We absolutely loved our stay here and hardly left the house!!! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that we noticed a camera outside the shower window in one of the bathrooms that was attached to a palm tree. I have the same camera at my home here in Louisville. The camera was not aimed at the window (aimed at the back gate), but it made several of the guests VERY uncomfortable. I know security is important especially for a house that perfect, but the camera will have to be moved. I’m not sure what they were thinking placing it there, even if it doesn’t look into the shower it’s about peace of mind for guests at that point. That was the only issue we had. The customer service was very helpful when I called to ask questions and the unit is centrally located to many great restaurants and bars! The view in the back yard is BREATHTAKING! I will definitely return once the security camera is moved.

Cool home, great location

Beautiful modern home in Vista Las Palmas. Open floor plan that lives larger than the sq ft. Easily accommodated our family of 6. Master for my husband and I, queen room for teen son, two twin room for my daughter and mother and then the casita for my best friend. Gorgeous views of the San Jacinto mountains and lovely landscapes. Pool was clean and clear. We had a terrific time and would definitely stay there again!

It is the perfect home for us

The home is a beautiful and thoughtful renovation of a classic mid century home in one of the best neighborhoods. This was our third year renting the home and we cant wait to go back again—which says it all. We rent for 6-8 weeks at a time so just settle in and enjoy the pool and view, as well as the well appointed home. Owners are dog lovers and permit well behaved dogs and we bring our yellow lab. Can’t wait to return.
