Beautiful one level ranch home with a well equipped kitchen, excellent location and easy access to the bike paths. We hope to a try here again on our next Sunriver family vacation!
This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at this house for our annual Mt. Bachelor ski trip. The house is perfect and does not disappoint. Communication with the owner is great. The house is exactly as pictured.
Place was as advertised. And a great set up for us. There was a minor issue with the sofa sleeper not working which they let us know about and we were able to work around. Otherwise, great stay with no issues and good communication.
We were there during Christmas and when we got there the house had lights on the trees outside and there was a lighted Christmas tree inside and the house was decorated it felt very festive. Loved the roomy openness of the house. It is quite far from the village but in the summer time you could ride your bikes in. Would definitely stay there again.
This home was very clean with air condition. It was well stocked with everything we needed. There were bike paths in the front and back of the home for many hours of riding. The home also had a nice yard as well
We met friends here and got to catch up on life while enjoying the area. Only suggestion is perhaps an umbrella as we enjoyed eating on the deck and kept moving the table to get shade. We accidentally broke 2 small plates.
Our family had an enjoyable stay at this property! It was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the shaded deck and small yard with our kids. The rooms were decent sized and fit our needs fine. The BBQ needs some repairs but otherwise we had no issues. Our daughter did her first 4 mile (round trip) bike ride to the Village and back this trip! We will be back.
Nice house, needing a little tlc and a bit smaller than photos showed. Earlier check in would be nice and better master mattress. Sofa âbedâ so uncomfortable it was unusable and we paid for 8 adults so needed it. Well equipped kitchen. Nice hot tub.
Beautiful home, beautiful furnishings and very well stocked with kitchen items and games. The location is wonderful! Itâs away from the masses of people (and noise), yet close walk to the grocery store, dog park and next to the bike path. We highly recommend this lovely home!
Great stay! The grandparents decided to join us and Dana accommodated very quickly. With the layout, it worked out perfectly for the kids to play and for the grandparents to have their quiet time. The back porch was an added bonus because there was a little grass patch for the kids to kick a ball around. The one comment I have is that the bathroom sink faucet handles were difficult to use for toddlers and the grandparents alike since they are knobs. Overall, the home was wonderful and we would definitely stay again.
I would highly recommend this house. We thoroughly enjoyed 4 days with our family of adult kids and one dog. Loved the location being right on the trail with an easy 8 minute walk to the north grocery store, or a nice 2 + mile to the village for a morning coffee. The kitchen is equipped with nicer quality kitchen wares. Dana, the host, was very responsive to my questions.
Great location, wonderful floor plan for families!
This home was perfect for our family of four for Christmas! The owners even had a beautiful Christmas tree set up in the front room which made it extra special. The gathering area in the living room was perfect for watching movies in front of the fire. Quiet and close to the market. We highly recommend!
The fireplace quit working because of a problem with a gasket around the frame but we really did not need it, just wanted the ambiance.of the fire. The owner was very fast on getting someone to check for any leaks also. Had a good time. Wonderful weather!
This house is incredible. It was so clean with all detailed considered. Location was quiet and peaceful with deer sightings each day. Big and open concept. Love the AC. Great vacation memories made here!
This home was beautiful and comfortable. The air conditioning was a plus! The location to the village was perfect! We took the Cascade Lakes Highway scenic drive that was recommended which was breathtaking! The home was very clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend to others. We would love to stay here again tomorrow f the opportunity arises! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
only complaint that we could find any kleenex...the property has all of the other amenities that we were expecting...the kitchen floor could use a refinishing or upgrade like the rest of the home...the kitchen cabinets could be addressed...very pleased and rate it between good and excellent! we had 80+ attendees for a family reunion...Fort Rock Park pavilion was perfect for our 3 dinners...thank you.
Really lovely property. Location is right off trails and a quick walk or bike to the park. Rooms were big and bright. Water pressure was great. We appreciated the thoughtful details for kids including full dish set and silverware for kids, pack n play, stroller, high chair, and a handful of toddler toys. Loved the single level with little kids. Hot tub access was great. Appreciated lots of throw blankets, too. Will definitely visit here again!
The house is a nice 3/2 with lots of sun light coming through the windows. Itâs a quiet location. We found the house very clean and stocked with everything we would need to make dinners. Wi-Fi and cable worked and hot tub was hot. Plenty of room in the garage to keep our mountain bikes and skis. We had a great time.
Perfect location if you have small or grown kids. Amenities in walking distance. Single level a big plus for all ages. Clean rental, comfortable beds and allowed our dog! Big plus! My only recommendation would be adding some new pots and pans. We will absolutely rent again:)
Nick and Dana Blizzard own 5 Splitrock with Dana's parents Dave and Carol VanSchepen since 2006, both our family's live on the West Side of Portland Metro Area. Dana & Nick met at Hillsboro High School and continued education together at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Now they live in NW Portland with their 2 kids and own Blizzard Wines where they make small lot premium NW wines. The winery is in nearby Hillsboro where Dave & Carol live on the family vineyard growing premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wine grapes since 1981 - Dana makes the wine, Nick does the winery marketing and also has his own web design business, Dave is retired and manages the vineyard, while Carol is an Adult Nurse Practitioner in Salem, OR. Dave and Carol grew up in Lafayette IN, but have been in the NW since 1974. We love to head to Sunriver to spend time with friends and family, and enjoy the outdoors. Nick is an avid paraglider pilot and mountain biker, Dana loves to run and recently climbed her first 10,000+ ft mountain (South Sister, near Sunriver). Dave and Carol like to spend time with their 4 grandkids, go kayaking on the Deschutes and get together with their Sunriver coffee buddies.
Carol had been coming to work conferences in Sunriver for years and fell in love with the 300+ days of sun/year, the bike paths, the central Oregon air. It was easy to convince the rest of us that it was a great place to vacation - there is so much to do!
We love the open floor plan, the large deck off the back, private hot tub, the bike path that leads us right to the north store where we get a hot cup of coffee. Heading to the SHARC is always a favorite for the kids.
