Our family loved it! Short walk to the beach, beautiful views from the house and we saw dolphins nearly every day! The house was located very close to town and all the fun things to do. Would definitely stay again!

Wow! Pleasantly surprised from this high standard family. Lovely layout for a larger family with multiple kids. Larger kitchen with plenty of supplies, countertop and 2nd frig w/ ice maker in the kitchen! Was happy to see a mop and broom for our daily use. Excellent layout for game playing and cooking. Amazing beach access close enough to town. Our 3rd trip and the best house yet!!! Def. Recommend 10/10

Fun But Cramped

The bedrooms were extremely small with no chest of drawers or dresser. There was nowhere to put your clothes!! The closet was tiny, and even the TV’s were tiny. They were the size of a small computer monitor. The location is excellent and I loved the beach access. The property could use a refresh.

I would recommend this property to anyone. We had a group of 10 adults to stay for a long weekend. We had plenty of room and privacy. The property was very clean and the communication with the property was excellent!

Wonderful Week at Wave Dancer

Great house with spacious kitchen and wonderful access to the water with beach from back yard to the water. Lots of bedrooms to accommodate all 10 of us plus more. Well kept and comfortable with a great view of the water from the living room.

Wonderful spacious home in excellent location.

You could not ask for better. House was immaculately clean when we arrived. Everything was exactly as pictured, and you could not ask for a better location. Close enough to everything for convenience but far enough away for quiet. Kitchen was very well stocked and starter supplies were very generous!

Great time at gulf shores

The house worked great for our family of 4 couples. Right on the beach. Was what the listing said. Would of been nice if kitchen supplies were furnished like salt, pepper suger and garbage bags but other than that had a great time.

We had a wonderful vacation. The house was clean, beautifully furnished and the perfect place for a family of 15. Everyone enjoyed the stay and even caught some fish in front of the house. The children had a blast and begged to stay longer. In fact they are asking when we can go back again. It was a perfect week for us.

Perfect Paradise

We have taken an extended family beach trip for 25+ years. We have always gone to Destin, but were ready for a change. This home did not disappoint. Plenty of room for 12 adults to spread out! The beach was just steps away. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and it was close to lots of great restaurants when we didn’t want to cook. We would definitely stay here again!

Wave dancer is a lovely house on the beach. It was suitable for all of our age groups from 2-70 years. We had plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms! I had one minor concern. There were two cracked glasses in the cabinet when we got there. It didn’t bother us. I just didn’t want to be blamed for them.

Great Location BUT Poor Management

I was initially wary of the rental since there were few reviews- most were brief or older. Pros: Nicely located and good beach access. There is a rocky dune between the house and the beach which was ok but a bit challenging for the small kids in our party. Furnishings are nice. They are beginning to show signs of wear and tear. There are two refrigerators which was really useful for our large party. Cons: Bathrooms-One of the bathrooms does not function- so although it is advertised as 5 baths it’s actually 4! This was a huge problem for us since we had multiple families in our party and selected this vacation home primarily based on the #of bathrooms. The property management company was contacted immediately upon arrival and several times during our stay to remedy. Each time we were placed on hold for 20 minutes or more and then they would return and say an urgent request was put in and someone would come by to repair. This NEVER HAPPENED!! We even had one of their phone operators tell us they were previously aware of this issue. Carpet- There is carpet on the steps and in the upstairs bedrooms. The carpet smells of mildew and wet dogs. We opened all the doors and windows to reduce the odor. There are no screens on any doors or windows but thankfully there were few flying insects around at this time. Wi-Fi- Traveling these days it is expected that Wi-Fi would be accessible and available. NOPE! We were not provided the correct password at check in so we once again had to contact them for support. They spent 2 hours ‘troubleshooting’ and called us back with a new password. Cleanliness- the property says it’s professionally cleaned but it was not obvious in the bathrooms or floors as there was sand and hairs present throughout. We ended up at the local store buying cleaning supplies to clean our accommodations. All in all, we made the best of the short time we stayed at the Wave Dancer. Vacasa was a unresponsive property management company. Given The cost of the rental I wouldn’t have expected to have to DIY our vacation but we didn’t want the whole trip to be soured by the mediocre accommodations. We couldn’t change our accommodations because there were no other options available- WE TRIED! I wouldn’t rent this place or any accommodations managed by Vacasa again. If you find yourself choosing to do so anyways- do so with caution and minimalg expectation of the photos to match reality.
