Loft: 2 lits jumeaux et futon dépliable pour 4 personnes. Loft comprend également un coin lecture avec chaise et demi et pouf et un bureau. Vue sur la montagne depuis le loft.

The property was beautiful from the start. The drive up the 9,000ft square mountain has an amazing view of varieties pines trees, beautiful landscaping and all the cabin away from each other in a distance. If your looking for a very quiet peaceful place to get away, I would highly recommend it.! The view as the sunrise to dawn is amazing. Have to see it to believe it.

Beautiful views at this mountain property

We had a great stay at this beautiful mountain property. The house is very comfortable, and we got great use out of the hot tub. There is a lot to explore around the property itself and it is not too far from the Royal Gorge and Canon City. It is about an hour drive from most activities, though. The best thing is the views!!! It was great to get away. We had a wonderful experience and great family time. It had a remote feel, but Internet and satellite TV were helpful for some downtime.

Beautiful Location! Nice house

This house is in an awesome location with incredible views of mountains, very isolated, so quiet and peaceful! The house itself was great, the pictured hot tub is not functional. However, there is a separate enclosed hot tub that is available to use. We were surprised that the owners Were staying in the downstairs area, somehow we thought they would be in a totally different location and not in the same house. The only complaint is the trash incinerator being used while we were there one of the days producing an awful smell that came directly into the house as there is no heating or air conditioning- so windows remain open most of the time which, for the most part is a good thing. The owners are super friendly and nice, but very slow to response to texts, usually the next day. I did have all the comforts of home, including spices toiletries, cooking items that we usually have to bring with us at VRBO’s. That was much appreciated!

Super unique property

When we reserved, we were unaware of just how far up in the mountains this place was. They are not kidding when they tell you to hit the grocery store first. It’s a 50 minute drive from Cañon City proper. Once you’re there, you won’t want to leave. The views are spectacular and the nearest paved road is a 35 minute drive. The house is great, very comfortable, but they do have a good deal of random things laying around here and there (around the house and on the property as well); broken chairs stuffed under the hot tub deck, old hot tub cover rotting near the deck, snow shovel left out in summer, ladders on the deck, broken tiles, and other stuff near the teepee. I also saw no mention in the listing that the owners live in the basement, but they do. This was not too much of an issue, as they mostly made themselves scarce. However, on our last night, my husband and I were sitting alone by the fire when the owners returned from a trip to town, and Mike (owner) came to say hello. This would have been no big deal, except he wanted to start a lengthy conversation about politics and Colorado gun laws. As politely as we could, we explained that we did not wish to discuss politics on vacation, and that we didn’t have much time left to enjoy our time together on vacation. Thankfully, he finally took the hint and went inside. I have to stress how gorgeous this property is and how glad I am that we found it, I’d love to come back for a longer retreat. It is just really important for VRBO owners to understand that folks don’t want to pay $208 per night to hang out with you, so unless you’re needed, make yourself scarce. No offense, I’m sure you’re terrific people, but we’re on a family vacation. Our time together is precious! Cannot say enough how magnificent this property is, you’ll have tons of space to explore and you’ll wear yourself out taking pictures!

Review: BE AWARE. This house is located on 13.5 miles of gravel off the main road and is a good 45 minute drive to anything. The view is beautiful however you are not renting the entire house to yourself. Owners live in the basement. The fire pit is right by the entrance to their part of the house, the hot tub and their porch/ dining space is only separated by a curtain. We did not care as we were not needing the privacy however some might. There were several inoperable windows and also missing spindles. Owners also falsely accused us of damage and tried to conveniently collect almost the full deposit.

Indescribable by words...

When I rounded the corner into the driveway of Michael and Joyce's I was overwhelmed with emotion. There are no words to describe the awe inspiring views or the complete peace I had during my week long stay. During one of my walks on the mesa I came across a Lord of the Rings inspired project they have been working hard to complete for people to come and stay...it is incredible!! I can't wait to see the finished project. I truly believe it will be a destination for everyone to visit. Michael and Joyce were a joy to be around and left nothing to be desired. I may be home now but I know where I left my heart.

Magical stay

We had an absolutely magical stay for a quiet weekend getaway. The house is remote, the views are breathtaking, the saltwater hottub is hot, and we decided to give cooking a break and the owner, Joyce, made delicious meals for us (Greek lunch - best chicken soup ever; pot roast for dinner; and the absolute best coffee cake we have EVER tasted). We even got to help feed the chickens, and took some eggs home with us, which our kids loved. We’ll definitely be back. Such exceptional hosts and an exceptional property.

Breathtaking views, incredibly quiet mountain retreat

If you are looking for a quiet mountain getaway with stunning views this place is a dream! It's on top of a mountain with miles of unobstructed views. Quietest place I've ever been. Zero noise from roads/neighbors. No light pollution, can see the milky way! Joyce and Michael are super helpful and sweet while giving guest plenty of space and privacy. Tons of space inside, clean and well appointed, feels homey. Keep in mind, it's a long way from the nearest store, but we saw this as a bonus and planned accordingly. Also, Joyce helped arrange for her neighbor to deliver an incredible meal the first night. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend!

Incredible location

My wife and I were so impressed with the views and location of this property. The drive in alone from the main highway is incredibly scenic and significantly compliments the overall experience of staying in this home. We enjoyed the location and community so much that we are seeking land in the area ourselves. I overlooked the portion of the description where the hosts live on site. However, that is my fault and not the host, and we were not bothered or inconvenienced by them at any time during our stay. Vos hÎtes: Joyce: a grandi dans une région rurale du Kentucky dans une ferme laitiÚre. Il est allé à l'université de Louisville et a fini par voyager dans le monde en tant que consultant en informatique. :-) Parle couramment l'anglais et l'espagnol et un peu le français. Michael: a grandi en Virginie et est diplÎmé d'Annapolis et d'Univ. de l'Oregon. Il est passionné d'histoire, adore les activités de plein air et pratique, bien sûr, le golf, l'aviron à 8 rames, l'adresse au tir, le ski. Il parle anglais et espagnol.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Nous avons cherché 2 ans avant d'acheter Soaring Eagle. Nous voulions de beaux paysages, la sérénité (pas de bruit de la route - juste le vent dans les arbres). Nous voulions voir la faune: cerfs, wapitis, antilopes, renards, lynx roux, etc. Il y a de l'eau merveilleuse - c'est bien propre, donc nous sommes en mesure d'avoir un joli jardin devant notre maison.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

La maison a des expositions et des vues du sud de presque chaque piÚce. L'intérieur est lambrissé et a une odeur de bois quand vous entrez. J'adore le flux de la maison. Depuis le pont, nous avons une pléthore de colibris et d'autres oiseaux locaux en été. Ils ressemblent à des bijoux volants. :-)
