Nestled in Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan, Shalom DeMar Beach House offers a bright, spacious layout that comfortably sleeps 10. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill, fireplace, and pet‑friendly features including doggie doors and a fenced yard. The sandy beach is just a 6‑minute walk (or an even shorter golf cart ride) away. A thoughtfully packaged starter kit awaits you upon arrival.

All beds are made fresh with crisp linens, freshly washed towels, and essentials so you can settle in and enjoy your stay at Shalom DeMar—which translates to “Peace of the Sea,” a phrase often used to express tranquility and well‑being by the water.
With three bedrooms featuring a king bed and sofa bed, two queen beds, and a second sofa bed in the living room, there’s plenty of room for everyone.

The 3M‑filmed windows enhance energy efficiency while creating a light, peaceful ambiance—perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or latte after a refreshing walk on the beach.
The home includes two bathrooms, one with a jetted tub and the other with a refreshing shower—ideal for unwinding after a day in the sun. An outdoor enclosed shower with hot water is also available for rinsing off after the beach.
In the evenings, relax on the screened‑in porch—sip a cocktail, play board games, or unwind on the comfortable wicker furniture. Whether you’re gathering with family or friends, this home offers an inviting atmosphere that makes vacations unforgettable.

Surfside Shores, the development where the home is located, has its own private beach and is the only area in Fort Morgan that allows pets on the beach.
The neighborhood beach access is a 6‑minute walk or a quick golf cart ride away. We can recommend local golf cart rental companies for your stay.

Because the beach is reserved for owners and their guests, it is much quieter than the beaches in downtown Gulf Shores.
The home sits in a mature, private beachfront neighborhood with large ~½‑acre lots—rare for this typically crowded vacation area.


Interior & Exterior Highlights
Common areas are ideal for groups, including the screened‑in porch with ceiling fans for evening enjoyment.
The living room features vaulted ceilings, large UV‑filtered windows, and a 60‑inch wall‑mounted smart TV with complimentary Roku—perfect for movie nights or keeping up with your favorite sports.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, small appliances, baking pans, and more, making meal prep a breeze.
A laundry room on the main floor includes a washer, dryer, and iron for guest use.
Outside, enjoy the fenced sandy yard, perfect for pets, and plenty of space to relax and listen to the sounds of the Gulf.
Smart TV's are in each bedroom.


Beach Gear & Starter Supplies
Each reservation includes a starter supply pack:
• 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom
• 1 travel‑size dish soap
• 2 dishwasher pods
• 2 laundry pods
• 1 roll of paper towels
• 1 trash bag per trash can
• 1 sponge
• Hand soap in each bathroom
• Local gifts for everyone to enjoy

Beach towels are provided and stored in each bedroom closet.
We also provide some beach chairs and kids’ beach items.


Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire home except for:
• A locked supply cabinet in the primary bedroom closet
• A locked supply closet off the first‑floor hallway
Golf carts and beach tents can be rented locally to enhance your stay.
Guests must be 25 years or older to rent Shalom DeMar Beach House.

• Repeat renter discounts are available—send an inquiry for details.
• Snowbirds are welcome during the off‑season.
• We strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance due to the coastal location. • VRBO offers insurance at booking, and many third‑party providers are available.
• I am not new to VRBO and have owned multiple VRBO homes near fresh water in Lake George, Upstate New York as a Super Host and have fallen in love with the Ocean property here and the surrounding area of the Gulf.-Ask me!

Rip currents and rough surf can be dangerous. Conditions are communicated daily via the local flag system.

When double red flags are posted, the Gulf is closed to the public.
Wildlife
Surfside Shores is near a wildlife refuge and home to alligators, snakes, spiders, and other wildlife.
Please stay aware of your surroundings, especially in vegetated areas.
