Had a great trip with long time friends - house had everything we needed / had an issue with shower head in one of the bathrooms and someone fixed it quickly - was not aware that someone would be staying in the lower level at time of booking but was not a problem. Thank you
The beach house was clean, comfortable, and roomy. We loved the big windows facing the lake, the large deck to eat our meals, and of course the path to the beach.
Great location with beach access and beautiful view of the lake. The home has a large deck. Kitchen is well stocked. Seven people fit very comfortably but can accommodate more if needed. Property is only about a mile from town which has a boardwalk along the lake, shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended!
Our trip to Park Point was wonderful. The home had everything we needed (including jigsaw puzzles, which were helpful as unfortunately we had a lot of rain). The kitchen was well stocked, there were a couple of Beach chairs and toys for the beach, the decor was lovely with huge windows looking out over Lake Superior. The host was very easy to communicate with. We loved it and would stay again!
This was our third time staying at the property, and weâve enjoyed every stay. There were several updates, including the kitchen which made the place look even better than it was. The owner has been very responsive, including bringing us a new remote when we couldnât find one!
We stayed here over an extended weekend to celebrate our daughterâs wedding. The house and location were great. My only regret is not getting more time to enjoy the beach. The sunrise in the morning is amazing. We would stay here again.
This comfortable home in a residential location with wonderful views of the sand dunes and lake was the perfect place for our family gathering. Ages 12 to 77 agreed the place met their needs. The kitchen is well stocked for a large group. The location was perfect for our plans to take the rail trips to admire the fall colors. Easy parking well lit. The youngest enjoyed their hideout upstairs. The elders enjoyed the comfort and views of the living area. Multi generational family group coming together for fun weekend. Mission accomplished.
The home met all our needs. Great view of Lake Superior, and a short walk down to the beach. Very handy location for accessing all of Duluth's attractions - the train ride, the harbor cruise, Glensheen mansion tours, walking along the pier and the Canal Park district, visiting the aquarium and the Maritime Museum and the ore ship, climbing the tower, driving to Gooseberry Falls - we were able to pack all this into three days, and all are highly recommended activities! Watching the lift bridge in operation is always a treat!
The house was great and just what we needed for a combined family of three couples. Very clean and neat, well equipped. Great views and access to the lake. However, it had only limited air conditioning and we were there during the hottest part of the summer. Lots of available fans helped out some.
There are many notes pasted around the house about thermostat settings, eating, cleaning up, etc., that were a bit hard to follow. In addition, the owners have a small apartment in the lower level of the house and were there during our stay which was a bit unnerving and felt like it cramped our enjoyment some. Lots of rules in the rental contract so be prepared to have restricted numbers of guests, providing their names in the contract, and even having day visitors limited! We'd never seen a more restrictive agreement for a vacation home rental!
Family vacation on the shores of Lake Superior. Location was great, able to walk to Canal Park etc
LOCATION GREAT!
Kitchen was adequately supplied with dinnerware, silverware and cookware.
Cushions on 2 kitchen chairs, a cushion for each chair would be nice.
There was a nice supply of games and puzzles. We did 2 puzzles on the table in the loft.
Startup supplies - 6 rolls of TP for 9 people. For the price of the rental I......
AC had a hard time keeping up. Kitchen. LR and dining room were cool however the bedrooms were extremely warm even with fans running.
Master Bath shower faucet needs changing.
Flush toilet in main bathroom affects shower water temp. in Master Bathroom
Bathroom faucets have hot and cold reversed.
Cleanliness - had a dice roll under the couch and it hadn't been cleaned under the couch for a very long time. Checking under the bed when packing up found a cough drop......
I had to supply names of two DAY GUESTS. They weren't able to come but was I going to be charged for going over 10 guests by 1 on a DAY guest?
A week before check-in I had to give my DL #. Shouldn't that have been done at time of reservation? Rental agreement, had it come earlier I might have been scared away. I felt like I was being treated like a twenty something.

The view canât be beat! Easy to get to, close to shops and restaurants. Comfortable furnishings and generously supplied with necessities. We had questions about the TV and the owner helped us right away. Very enjoyable visit!
Beautiful place on the lake that accommodated our family of 9. Appreciated the toys for our grandchild. There are a variety of high quality pots and pans for cooking, spices, oil,etc so it was easy to prepare food. Only thing was there were several bird strikes on the picture window while we were there. Great view but wish birds could be protected.
We had a wonderful stay at this clean and charming house with a stunning view of Lake Superior. The sunrises were absolutely breathtaking and made every morning feel special (you can watch them from the comfort of the living room or go down to the lake). The house was cozy, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Thereâs a short walk up and down a dune to reach the beachâtotally worth it for the peaceful shoreline experience. Some days the lake was calm, crystal-clear, and perfect for wading or relaxing by the water. Other days it was rougher, which added its own kind of dramatic beauty, though less ideal for swimming. The location was perfectâquiet and scenic, yet close enough to enjoy local events. We were lucky to be there during the Parade of Sails, which was an unforgettable bonus! Also, the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful when a couple of small hiccups came up. It gave us peace of mind knowing they truly care about their guestsâ experience.Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway with unbeatable lake views.
Loved the property location, right on the water! Was able to watch the ships go in and out which we all loved. The house had everything that we needed including games to play for girls night in! Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Duluth.
Thatâs what my wife kept saying, it was a great view of the lake, great location. We enjoyed the accommodations very much, our hosts sure know what theyâre doing, they made everything very easy so we could enjoy ourselves. Weâre already looking forward to a return visit.
Sandy Point is great space for family and friends. Itâs so close to everything in Duluth - a great location! The check in process was super easy, communication with owners was timely and the house had everything we needed. A perfect ending to a hectic Christmas season.
Wonderful stay with friends and family. Kitchen was fully stocked for cookin. Living area was cozy and spacious with breathtaking views of the lake. Communication with owner was simple and efficient.
The photos were very accurate and the homes appointments were very nice. Spectacular view from the picture window of the lake and any moored ships. Easy access to the beach which was walked daily by our group. Location was excellent and afforded quick arrival to many restaurants and most importantly, to the canal leading to the harbor. This afforded us many opportunities to view the many ships coming into harbor. I grew up in Duluth and this allowed me to share with my children the many things I admire about the area. Overall it was an excellent visit and the home provided a very cozy and comfortable retreat at the end of the day. William was a first-class host and responded quickly to all our queries. i highly recommend this property and will definitely rebook if in the area again.
